History
Background
For many years, Robloxia had operated under a traditional two-party system, with a center-left Robloxian Reform Party and a right-wing Robloxian Conservative Party. Conservative David Baszucki won the 2004 presidential election and soon founded a new party called the Corporatist Party, disrupting the two-party system. That far-right party governed Robloxia in a radical, authoritarian manner. In the 2014 presidential election, both Reformists and Conservatives hoped to defeat Baszucki and seize power themselves. Despite this, Baszucki won by a narrow margin, securing another ten-year term. A year later, congressional elections were held, solidifying the Corporatists' position. His second term saw numerous crises, including a war with the Coffee-Stained Republic, which led to a decline in Corporatist support. As a result, they lost the 2020 House of Representatives election, yet they theoretically remained in power. Baszucki decided to run for a third term in the 2024 presidential election. He was challenged by representatives of the Robloxian Reform Party (Peakala Harris), the Progressive Party (John Puma), and the Robloxian Conservative Party (Jackson Moris, Mason Smith, and Donald Trumpblox). Ultimately, Mason Smith was elected president after winning 425 electoral votes. His policies differed from Baszucki's, but Conservatives quickly allied with the Corporatists, effectively ruling together. Subsequent controversies involving Mason Smith and his Vice President Matthew Smith, such as the tariff wars, the June Affair, the Bloxburg evacuations, the July-August Affair, and the Schlep controversy, led to a decline in support for both Conservatives and Corporatists. During this time, the Robloxian Reform Party stagnated. Meanwhile, the Progressive Party began to enjoy unexpected success, increasing its support in the polls and winning the 2025 Bloxburg mayoral election. With the upcoming congressional elections, six parties entered the fray, with the Independent Party and the Patriotic Party making their first broad campaigns for congressional seats in history. The first campaigns began in late August.
August
In late August, the Reformists, Progressives, and Conservatives began campaigning. The other parties were still preparing and intended to launch their campaigns in September. The Progressives launched their first campaigns, hoping to attract a younger voter base. They began organizing numerous rallies across Robloxia. Soon, both Reformists and Conservatives began their campaigns as well. The Reformists aimed to attract left-leaning and progressive voters, who could be attracted to the Progressives. As a result, the Reformists' attitude toward them became ambivalent. Some candidates viewed the Progressives as an ally in opposition to the Conservatives, while others argued that they had to fight them to avoid defeat. Meanwhile, Conservatives began attacking both parties. All three major parties began conducting large and fierce campaigns in many regions of Robloxia. Reformists conducted their campaigns primarily in cities, while Conservatives primarily in rural areas, but some also campaigned in cities. Progressives tried to balance between the two options, although they have the majority of their supporters in cities. The first debates between all three parties began in late August, and it was difficult to determine the winners. Robloxia appeared to be divided into three zones. The central part of the country and some rural states were the Conservative base, while Reformists held the upper hand in the northeastern part of the country. Progressives, on the other hand, held the upper hand in Bloxburg Valley and southeastern Robloxia.
September
In September, the remaining parties began their campaigns. The Corporatists began their campaigns in rural areas, where they expected the greatest support. The Independents began their campaign somewhat weakly, without a significant message, risking losing votes to the Reformists and Progressives. The Patriots, on the other hand, also launched their campaign in early September, surprisingly targeting young voters. Once all the campaigns had begun, the most crucial period for all campaigns began. Election participants divided into two ideological camps. The Corporatists, Patriots, and Conservatives constituted the conservative camp, while the Reformists, Independents, and Progressives constituted the liberal camp. Relations between members of each camp varied. The conservative parties tended to be cooperative and formed local coalitions, targeting different voter groups, which allowed them to avoid significant conflict. The liberal parties, on the other hand, attacked all the conservative parties collectively. Some Reformists also attacked the Progressives, although overall, the parties did not engage in open conflict. The Independents, however, remained on friendly terms with the Progressives. Soon, a flurry of debates and rallies began throughout Robloxia. Battles for individual states began. The Corporatists seized Central Robloxia, Rohio, and Blocahoma. The Reformists seized some states on the East Coast, primarily Romont, New Rampshire, Baine, North Bloxlina, South Bloxlina, and Balabama. The Independents took over Robloxonnecticut, New Rosey, Bloxuisiana, and Kionne Republic. The Patriots managed to take over New Bloxico and Bloxtana. The Progressives, on the other hand, took over primarily the western states, primarily Bloxburg Valley, Bloxington Island, Rolaska, Bloxorado, and Ro Kansas. Meanwhile, the Conservatives took over a vast swath of the country's interior, stretching from Roregon to Rosylvania. They captured key states, including North Bloxifornia, Rovada, Brickland, Rossota, Nebloxa, Western Robloxia, Bloxissouri, Reorgia, and Blorida. Many states also remained undecided, with individual party advantages too small to call it a takeover. Numerous polls were conducted, including some covering the entire country. In September, Conservatives had the most voters, with polls exceeding 28%. Reformists, Independents, and Progressives followed with nearly 18% each. Corporatists and Patriots each received 6%. There were also a few undecided voters. This is how the September campaigns unfolded. Conservatives tried to maintain their lead, while the liberal camp tried to catch up. At the same time, the other conservative parties struggled to win over voters.
October
In October, the tide began to turn against the Conservatives, who began losing support to Reformists and Progressives. Meanwhile, the support percentages for Corporatists, Independents, and Patriots began to stagnate. In early October, to clarify the situation, a major election debate was held in Robloxia City. Initially, only representatives of the Reformists and Conservatives were invited, but other parties also demanded participation. Corporatists were represented by David Baszucki, Reformists by Otto von Manul-Pallas, Independents by Henry Leynard, Patriots by Thomas Bloxkenson, Progressives by Katherine Graham, and Conservatives by Jackson Moris. The fierce debate, according to most media outlets, failed to produce a winner. However, support for Reformists and Progressives began to grow shortly afterward in undecided states, leading some to believe they were the victors. However, Corporatists and Patriots were clearly the losers. Soon, many other important debates took place, including those between Corporatists and Progressives (Gregory Baszucki and John Puma), Reformists and Conservatives (Peakala Harris and Jack Richardson), Progressives and Conservatives (Mark Johnson and Donald Trumpblox), as well as Independents and Patriots (Andrew Miller and Thomas Bloxkenson). All of them attracted public attention. There were some changes in support on the map. Corporatists and Independents retained their previously held states without gaining any new ones. Reformists, on the other hand, captured Rosylvania and Blorida. Patriots lost Bloxtana to Conservatives. Progressives gained North Bloxifornia and Reorgia. Conservatives, on the other hand, began to gradually lose support in their states, leaving them vulnerable to taking Roregon, Bloxissouri, and Western Robloxia. Liberals began to prevail in many previously undecided states. As a result, Reformists took Eastern Robloxia, Bloxuisiana, and New Bloxia, among others, while Progressives gained significant support in South Bloxifornia, Rowia, Bloxwaii, and Blocco Rico. According to mid-month polls, the situation reversed somewhat. Reformists and Progressives had the most votes, with over 30% each. Independents and Conservatives, on the other hand, were in the middle, with around 17% of votes. Corporatists and Patriots had only a few percent of votes. There was also 1% of undecided voters. This time, Conservatives were trying to catch up with the liberals, who finished ahead this time.
November
At the very beginning of the month, interest in the election plummeted. Only Progressive Party and Robloxian Conservative Party supporters participated in the polls. Ultimately, very few eligible voters showed up to vote. Consequently, the election, originally scheduled for November 4, was postponed by the Election Commission to an undisclosed date before the end of the year. Soon, the Progressive Party attempted to bolster its campaign by increasing its popularity in the Bloxburg Valley. Other parties stopped campaigning. Finally, an official poll was conducted to gauge possible turnout. Because it was approximately 4.5%, the Election Commission announced the temporary cancellation of the election on November 28, the first time an congressional election had been cancelled outside of the Baszucki administration. Unfortunately, the Corporatist Party took advantage of no election and immediately took over the legislative branch of the Robloxian government, occupying all 435 seats of the branch, creating a situation where despite Mason Scorpio Smith being president (now a puppet president), the entire Robloxia government turned into a puppet government under the manipulation of the Corporatist Party, reverting Robloxia back to what it was in the 2004-2024 era but with more controversial reforms. This caused numerous protests.
