The Progressive Party, also known as New Progressive Party, is a Robloxian political party of a center-left to centrist nature. It is the largest of the smaller, "third" parties. In Congress, it is currently the largest party in the country, just behind the Robloxian Conservative Party, Robloxian Reform Party, and Corporatist Party. It is also one of the largest parties in the country in terms of public support. The party was founded in 2024 by John Puma, who served as party leader until 2026, until he was replaced by Katherine Graham, who defeated several candidates in the 2026 Progressive Party leader election.

History

The party was founded in 2024 by an non-partisian politician, councilor of Santa Cruz de Los Pumas, representative of Bloxburg Valley and one of the commanders of Pumas Uprising, John Puma. The party was registered on May 13, 2024. It was joined by 9 other congressmen, as well as many other activists. This party came mainly from the Independent Party, with which it remains in good relations. In August, John Puma, who is the chairman of the party, registered his campaign committee for 2024 presidential election and then submitted several hundred thousand signatures to the state election commission, which allowed him to register as a candidate. Surprisingly, the party quickly became popular, reaching a few percent of support, which began to grow. The main voters of the party became voters from the centrist electorate and moderate voters of the left-wing electorate. Ultimately, John Puma won 6.17%, which was considered a success in the party. At the same time, the party has been running charity events for robloxians affected by the war in CSR, as well as supporting the Pumas Uprising. After the election, the party's support in the polls began to grow even more. It was heavily involved in the Bloxburg mayoral election, and its candidate, Dr. Lina Rivers, who won 70% of the vote.

According to the poll, as of May 24, 2025, the party has around 30% support, which is its highest achievement to date, making it the third party in Robloxia. The margin of error may be a few percent.[1] In June 2024, several polls estimated that the party could have 40% support, making it the largest in Robloxia.[2] Despite this, its popularity soon began to decline with the June Affair, when John Puma exposed the fraudulent nature of the 2024 presidential election. Support across all parties plummeted. However, the party soon recovered, competing with both Reformists and Conservatives in the polls.

Ideology

The party is usually described as centrist. The left usually describes it as center-right, while the right describes it as left-wing. Its ideology includes liberalism, agrarianism, support for green policies, centrism, democratism, and the fight for social justice. The party represents the interests of farmers, workers, trade unions and various minorities. John Puma, describing his party, stated: "It is an option for robloxians who are fed up with the fanaticism of the right and the nonsense of the left. It is an option for those who want Robloxia to go forward instead of left and right".

The Progressive Party is considered a substantive party. In terms of views on religion, the party is moderate, not choosing either traditionalism or secularism. The party was initially neutral towards pacifism, later adopting this view. On other ideological issues, the party is more decisive. It supports the rights of the LGBT community and is in favor of same-sex marriage, supports abortion in a few specific cases. It discourages accepting excessive numbers of illegal refugees, but also criticizes the pushbacks made during David "Builderman" Baszucki's presidency. The party criticizes racism and all types of discrimination based on race, nationality, gender, or any other characteristic.
