Dr. Lina Rivers (born August 17, 1984) is a Robloxian politician and professor at Bloxburg University and mayor of Bloxburg. A member of the Progressive Party, she has held several important positions during the city's post-CSR era rebuild, including the position to repeal the city's Fair Pay Executive Order. She is known for her liberal views and her desire to bring innovation to the city and catch up technologically with other cities in Robloxia.
In 2025, she was elected mayor of Bloxburg in an election in which she won 70% of the vote. Dr. Rivers took office on June 22, 2025 and repealed the Fair Pay Executive Order, as well as facing her first major issue, namely the Bloxburg meteorite.
Life
Lina Rivers was born in Bloxburg on August 17, 1984. She received her higher education and became a professor at Bloxburg University. After the city was taken over by the Coffee-Stained Republic, she faced repression against teachers. Therefore, in 2020, she temporarily transferred to North Bloxifornia State University. In 2023, North Bloxifornia was occupied by Coffee-Stained Republic, although she had to stay there. After the liberation of Western Robloxia, she returned to Bloxburg, once again taking up her position at Bloxburg University. In the meantime, she became popular and joined the Bloxburg city council, advising on solutions to problems arising under communism. In the meantime, she joined the Progressive Party and became the party's candidate for mayor of Bloxburg. She quickly gained immense popularity due to her calm and substantive speaking style, which she used to fend off attacks from Marcus P. Hanley. Ultimately, she unexpectedly gained a staggering 70% of the vote, securing her victory in the elections held on June 14, 2025. She took over as mayor a few days later, implementing her first reforms. With a meteorite heading towards Bloxburg, she ordered the city to begin evacuating. Thanks to her efforts and the support of independent organizations, without government involvement, approximately 20 million residents of the metropolis were saved. After the meteorite impact, she promised not to rest until the city was rebuilt. She joined the interim council for the reconstruction of Greater Bloxburg City. She currently continues to lead the reconstruction efforts.
