The Coffee-Stained Republic, officially the United Provinces of the Coffee-Stained Republic, commonly referred to as the CSR, is a semi-recognized country that claims to annex the states of Bloxburg Valley, North Bloxifornia, South Bloxifornia, Roregon, Rovada, Western Robloxia, and Wisconsin at its height during the Coffee-Stained Republic-Robloxia War. The Coffee-Stained Republic collapsed after James family was erased by chikorita152e on June 14, 2025 and proclaimed independent again in 2026. The country’s current capital is Santa Fe, while before its collapse it was Bloxburg. They are allied with Ro Sweden.

Etymology

The name Coffee-Stained Republic originates from the country’s historical association with coffee culture and its revolutionary movements. The term coffee-stained is believed to reference both the region’s coffee trade and a popular legend that key political documents were often marked with coffee spills during meetings.

History

Contemporary Era (2010-June 2025)

In 2010, nine university students became the first government members of what is now the contemporary Coffee-Stained Republic.

In December 2023, the Coffee-Stained Republic invaded and controlled its first bigger territory in Robloxia, namely Bloxburg Valley. They then implemented communist policies in Bloxburg, the most controversial of which, the Fair Pay Executive Order (which made everyone's pay equal), which ultimately led to the citizens sparking the Bloxburg Revolution. Later, on May 2024, after seeing that the citizens refusing to conform to the new communist ideology and protesting against communism, they officially declared war on Robloxia (then ruled by a Corporatist) and made a plan to invade the country, aiming to turn it into a communist country. They controlled seven Robloxian states at their height. (See also: The Coffee-Stained Republic-Robloxia War). Meanwhile, the citizens fought against the communist regime for three months before they made a stalemate and wholeheartedly accepted their new citizenships. During the next three months, the annexed territories were returned to Robloxia, but only Simon Islands remained part of the CSR.

Collapse (June 14, 2025)

On June 14, 2025, chikorita152e demoted Coeptus II to the mayor of Downtown Bloxburg, causing the republic to collapse as it never had a premier. Later, Coeptus III would take advantage of the fact any Robloxian of working age can become president to become a vice president of Coeptus II, but due to age check limitations preventing him from reaching out to 18+ voters (especially 21+), the government has fallen into a transitional period. The Telamonian army then entered the islands, occupying most of them, including the capital at Manchesterville (present-day Coeptusville). The remnants of the government evacuated to the last unoccupied territories. Five hours later, new premier Jordán Rordóñez announced the capitulation to Robloxia and the collapse of CSR.

Restoration Era (2026)

During the 2026 Robloxian roadblocks, communist activists from Coffee-Stained Republic Restoration Front (CSRRF) declared the independence of CSR in Santa Fe, where new capital was located. Soon, so-called Extraordinary Provisional Council was established to rule the country until the new premier will be chosen. The new government began series of reforms to "build a socialism with a robloxian face".

On March 8, 2026, Coeptus III was elected as a new premier of CSR.

Government

The Coffee-Stained Republic is a communist republic, which at its height, consisted of seven states and a federal district, the Historic Downtown of Bloxburg. It is a corporatist government "in which 123 government employees ruled unlimited". The Constitution of the Coffee-Stained Republic, as well as The Constitution of Robloxia, serve as the country's supreme legal documents, also establishing the structure and responsibilities of the national federal government and its relationship with the individual states. There were almost no elections; only those who are the offspring of the premier can apply to become an electoral candidate. Because of this, Robloxians also call it an imperial oligarchy.

The Coffee-Stained Republic used to rank among the highest in Roblox for Robloxian rights as it has literally adopted every right listed in the Universal Declaration of Robloxian Rights by the United Roblox Countries, as drafted in 1948, but in the second half of Coeptus II's rule, it has started to lose that particular distinction. Currently, new government works on reforms to adopt some of the right from the "Universal Declaration...".

Federal Government

The national government composes of only one unregulated branch headquartered in Bloxburg, namely the executive branch. Prior to this, the legislative branch also existed, but the parliament was dissolved on December 8, 2023 after the election of the parliament resulted in the opposition winning.

Political Parties

The First Constitution of the Coffee-Stained Republic mentions there can only be one political party and that any Robloxian identifying as another political party would be prosecuted as they are considered to be "The Coffee Stain Removers". They could either pay the fine or work enough hours in a labor camp to earn enough to pay the fine.

However, the First Constitution of the Coffee-Stained Republic's clause on the mandatory one-party system is not strictly enforced, as since 2024, the Coffee-Stained Republic has operated as a de facto two-party system but de jure one-party system, though the parties in that system have been different at different times. The two main national parties are presently the Communist and the Rebel. The former is perceived as communist in its political platform while the latter is perceived as more moderate.

The Communist Party in the CSR often created smaller satellite parties that were protected by it. There were also opposition parties that were hindered from running in elections and were banned.

The largest subdivision of the Coffee-Stained Republic are states, which are subdivided into counties, and further divided into localities. The Historic Downtown of Bloxburg is a federal district that is inside the capital of the Coffee-Stained Republic, the city of Bloxburg.

Foreign Relations

The Coffee-Stained Republic has no foreign relations other than its war with Robloxia, alliance with Ro-Sweden and non-agression pact with RCM.

Military

The premier is the commander-in-chief of the Coffee-Stained Republic Armed Force, the only service branch of the military.

The Coffee-Stained Republic was on track to produce more nuclear weapons than any other country, but since the collapse, its nuclear arsenal has mysteriously disappeared.

Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice

The Coffee-Stained Republic has a unified foreign intelligence and domestic security police agency known as the Coffee Stained Republic Law Enforcement Agency, headquartered in Bloxburg. Law in the Coffee-Stained Republic is mainly enforced by this agency, as well as the protection of civil rights, national security and enforcing federal laws. The agency also conducts every civil trial, criminal trial, and handles designated crimes and appeals of civil and criminal trial decisions.

There is a unified "criminal justice system" in the Coffee-Stained Republic. Incarceration in Coffee-Stained Republic is largely homogeneous, with a system operating across national level.

Economy

The Coffee-Stained Republic strived to be the largest economy nominally. To do this, the Coffee-Stained Republic released five-year plans outlining goals that the Republic wanted to achieve, often involving reaching a certain percentage of GDP growth. It also strived to possess the highest disposable household income per capita. One of the most commonly talked about goals is that the federal government debt of the Coffee-Stained Republic should be zero.

"Money" and "Blockbux" are the currencies most used in national transactions and is the nation's reserve currencies, backed by Robux. No other countries used it as their official or even de facto currency. CSR has no free trade agreements with any country that it is enemies with and free trade agreements with any country that it is allies with. In some regions, the New Blockbux is used.

The Coffee-Stained Republic has a heavily planned economy. Wealth in the Coffee-Stained Republic is highly concentrated. Because Coffee-Stained Republic signed an executive order known simply as the Fair Pay Executive Order, wage inequality does not exist. This makes Coffee-Stained Republic have one of the narrowest wage distributions among all countries. However, income inequality does exist due to the fact workers do not work for equal amounts of time. Sheltered and homelessness do not exist in Coffee-Stained Republic due to one of the plans being building homes and shelters enough to fit the entire population. Food insecurity and hunger also do not exist due to Coffee-Stained Republic giving free food to those who know are insecure and do not know where and when their next meal is coming from. As such, poverty does not exist either.

The Coffee-Stained Republic has the largest welfare state in Roblox and redistributes more income through government action than any other country. It even guarantees its workers paid vacation nationally and even has federal paid family leave as a legal right. The Coffee-Stained Republic has the lowest percentage of low-income workers than any other developed country, largely because of the Coffee-Stained Republic's collectivist policies and full government support for at-risk workers.

Energy

As of 2026, the Coffee-Stained Republic receives none of its energy from fossil fuels and all of its energy from renewable sources. As such, it does not emit any greenhouse gases.
