Costa Barra Republic is an island nation located in the Bloxington Ocean between Bloxrazil and Bloxveld. The country was established as a monarchy in 1821, and a republic was proclaimed in 2002.
History
Monarchy
Costa Barra Republic was created after a rebellion of liberals on the islands that previously belonged to Ro-Portugal. General Fernando de São Miguel was proclaimed king of Costa Barra, and he took power as Fernando I. After him, his descendants reigned successively: Henrique I (1848-1871), Fernando II (1871-1915), João I (1915-1919), Henrique II (1919-1942), Ulisses I (1942-1978), Fernando III (1978-1997) and Ulisses II (1997-2002). During Roblox War I and Roblox War II, the country remained neutral. In 1948, the Bloxrazil military base was established in the country and Bloxrazil proclaimed itself the protector of the kingdom. In 2001, a referendum on the state system was held. A year later, its results were implemented, and the republic was proclaimed.
Republic
After the introduction of the republic, pro-Broxrazilian parties began to dominate in the country. The first president was Luís Bro, who held office for 5 months. The next president was José de Bloxaire (2002-2006), followed by Sofia Cafebloxia. She held office until 2019, when she resigned as a result of the political scandal related to the Bloxrazil army, after which anti-Bloxrazilian parties began to emerge. Ultimately, Bloxrazil's opponent Justino Casso, who won the election, was overthrown by the Bloxrazil army in 2022 after storming the Costa Barra national congress. After this event, Sofia Cafebloxia returned to the office of president, but she decided not to take part in the 2024 elections, after which non-partisan councilor Marcos Polus became president.
Modern
In early June 2024, United Roblox Countries has ceased to further recognize Costa Barra Republic as a independent country. Costa Barra, who had been with the organization since 2003, filed an appeal in which it was supported by Bloxrazil and Equablox. Countries such as Robloxia, Bloxia and Tovokia have announced their lack of support for recognizing the state, while countries that have recognized the state include: Bloxrazil, Equablox, Bloxico, Ro-Portugal, South Bloxveld, Ro-Poland, United Roblox of Indonesia and unrecognized countries such as Free Bloxartica and Republic of Balaska. This country was later recognized on December 2024.
