1920

Ro France takes control over Lebanese territory after a conference.

1926

On September 1st, Ro France formed the Lebanese Republic and a constitution was adopted establishing a democratic republic with a parliamentary system of government.

1943

On November 22, Lebanon gains its independence after national and international pressure following the imprisonment of a president and other parliament members by the Ro French.
