David "Builderman" Baszucki's presidency as the 30th president of the United States began with his first inauguration on December 1, 2004, and ended on December 1, 2024, after President Mason Smith and Vice President Matthew Smith took the oath of office. Bazucki, a Corporatist from Bloxanada, took office following his victory in the 2004 presidential election over Conservative Charles Henderson and Reformist incumbent president George W. Roblox. Ten years later, in the 2014 presidential election, he defeated Conservative Donald Trumpblox and Democrat Joseph Moss to win reelection, and was inaugurated for a second time on December 1, 2014. However, in the 2024 presidential election, Bazucki lost the general election to president-elect Mason "Scorpio" Smith and has been succeeded by him. In total, David Bazucki served two consecutive terms.

During the first year of his first-term presidency, David Baszucki dealt with responses to earthquakes and natural disasters, including the Great Amaxon Earthquake in May, four months after his inauguration, and Hurricane Cathy, nine months into his presidency. Because of both tragedies, Baszucki signed the Search and Rescue Act, which established a massive response and rescue operation for natural catastrophes. Baszucki also signed the Head Forward with Education Act, which saved over $5 billion in education while increasing salaries for teachers and staff. Following the rise of prices, starting in the early 2010s, due to tariffs that he had introduced early on, David cancelled the tariffs for the first time in over eight years, which was met with a positive reception. Before the 2014 election, he ordered a major tax cut for the United States, to stop the negative growth of the economy.

During his second term as president, David Baszucki concentrated on gun prohibitions, similar to those in Brookhaven, and signed the Ban Guns Act, which aimed to remove weapons from civilians. While the bill was initially met with opposition, due to a lack of shootings, it had a far more favorable reception. However, a few months later, a court case revealed it violated the 2nd Amendment, and was removed within days. David's presidency was heavily critiqued during and after the 2017 Guest Genocide, in which he was accused of being complacent with the genocidal activities of the Redcrow Fusion Party. David Baszucki was again challenged near the end of his second term by the December 2023 attacks, which prompted him to focus more on preventing future attacks in the United States, signing the No More Terror Attacks Act in May 2024.

David Baszucki was considered as a popular and positive president throughout his first term; however, his ratings fell with time, and although winning the 2014 election, his polling was below-average and became more unfavorable. Prior to the December 2023 attacks, David Baszucki was the first president in the United States to be perceived unfavorably by the public; but, following the attacks, his ratings increased to more than 70%, and his actions against violence were viewed far more positively than the other legislation he had signed.

2004 election, transition period, and inauguration

Main article: First inauguration of David "Builderman" Baszucki

David Baszucki, a corporatist from Bloxanada, was registered as a Conservative after arriving in the United States prior to the 1994 presidential election. The following year, Baszucki expressed interest in running for president, but instead of joining the Conservative or Democratic parties, he joined the Corporatist Party. Later, in the 2004 presidential election, Baszucki was the front-runner for the Corporatist Party, eventually receiving all of the votes required to become the official presidential nominee. Because the focus was on the Conservative and Democratic candidates, Baszucki was viewed as a less likely winner in the elections. Despite this, Baszucki quickly gained popularity within the Corporatist Party, and by October of that year, he was expected to win several states that had previously been shifted toward Conservatives and Democrats, but not enough to win the election.

David Baszucki and his selected vice president Michael Guthrie, a former Conservative, unexpectedly won the 2004 presidential election with more than 360 electoral votes, winning some of the swing states, becoming the first person to be elected from outside the two major parties, defeating Conservative Charles Henderson and Democratic incumbent President George W. Roblox, who was the president at that time. Overall, the election was seen as one of the biggest upsets in the history of United States elections. Following his election victory, David's presidential transition period began within days, with vice president-elect Michael Guthrie serving as his "chief of staff" temporarily; Zak Marshall, David's friend, was ordered to lead the presidential transition in the "rare event" that Baszucki won and ended on November 30, 2004, one day before his first inauguration.

Because of his victory, most of his transition period from November to December of that year was dominated by media coverage of his administration's progress, which was referred to as the "David-Michael presidential transition". By November 24, a week before his inauguration as the 30th president of the United States, Baszucki had already chosen the majority of his staff for the upcoming administration, with few nominations. His inauguration began development the day after his victory, and it was officially completed on November 29. Due to minor protests and rioting, the event was held by security and police officers. Results of the election were certified on November 23, 2004. David Baszucki and Michael Guthrie was inaugurated for a ten-year term on December 1, 2004, become one of the most viewed events in television history and had one of the biggest crowds, reaching over 800,000 people. Among of the people who attended were Charles Henderson.

2014 Election

In 2014, Baszucki encountered numerous challenges that had developed over the preceding years. During this period, a formidable contender, Donald Trumpblox, entered the race. While many perceived his candidacy as a joke, he only lost by just two states.

Administrations

Baszucki's first chief of staff was Ethan Williamson, a former Conservative who had joined the Corporatist Party. One of his first major appointments was to name Lily Harvey as the Leader of the Government, making her the first female to do so; however, Lily declined the offer, and Frankie Wallace was appointed instead. During the third year of Baszucki's presidency, Frankie resigned due to a serious health risk, and Dylan Lawrence was chosen to serve the remainder of the first ten years.
