Michael Guthrie (born March 15, 1968) is a Robloxian politician and businessman who was the 34th vice president of Robloxia under David Baszucki from 2004 until his resignation in 2014. A member of the Robloxian Conservative Party, he represented Brickland in the Robloxian Senate from 1999 to 2004.

Early life and career

Michael Guthrie was born in Brickland, Robloxia, in 1968 into a middle-class family. His father, Paul Guthrie, owned a regional contracting company, and his mother, Margaret, was a school teacher. Guthrie graduated from Brickland State University in 1990 with a degree in business management and soon took over the family company, expanding it into one of the largest private infrastructure firms in the southern states of Robloxia.

Political career

Guthrie was first elected to the Robloxian Senate in 1999, representing Brickland. In the Senate, he focused on transportation, energy, and deregulation, gaining support from both industrial leaders and suburban voters. Guthrie became known for championing the National Logistics Improvement Act of 2001, which secured federal funding for highway and port upgrades across the southern corridor. In early 2004, Guthrie was chosen by David "Builderman" Baszucki as his running mate in the Conservative presidential ticket. At the same year, Guthrie stepped down from being senate due to his candidacy in the 2004 presidential election. The Baszucki–Guthrie ticket won the 2004 presidential election, defeating incumbent President George W. Roblox and Vice President Xavier Brawnson. Guthrie took office as the Vice President of Robloxia on December 1, 2004.

Vice Presidency in the United States

As Vice President, Guthrie played a crucial role in economic policy, particularly in expanding corporate tax incentives and supporting major infrastructure projects, including the National Digital Rail Grid. He frequently acted as a liaison between the administration and congressional leaders, helping pass key legislation such as the Unified Corporate Tax Zone Act. Guthrie was also the face of several disaster recovery initiatives following the 2005 Great Amaxon Earthquake and Hurricane Cathy in 2005, which raised his public profile. In January 2014, Guthrie stepped down from vice-presidency and was succeeded by Gregory Baszucki.

Later activities

After his vice presidency, Guthrie returned to the business sector, founding the Guthrie Group, a firm focused on energy and transport development. He also launched the Robloxian Leadership Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring young political leaders.

Controversy and disputes

In early June 2026, independent investigators uncovered that Guthrie was as guilty as Baszucki as he made numerous scams and illegal activities of the Baszucki's government and found at least twelve offenses to him. He was arrested and sent to Brickland Detention Center on June 5. Guthrie commented that the Robloxian government in 2004-2014 was not as controversial as today and thus pleaded innocent on advance of the Roblox Criminal Court in Hague trial planned against him over the next months. A subsequent independent investigation is planned on the Guthrie Group and Robloxian Leadership Institute to see if the firm focused on energy and transport development and if the nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring young political leaders were actually scams.
