Rolaska, also known as the Last Frontier, is the largest Robloxia state by area on the northwest extremity of Robloxia's West Coast, but second largest in the entire country. It is one of the most isolated states in the whole nation, having only 900k citizens residing in it. Famous for its incredible mountains (in fact, 85% of the mountains in the United States of Robloxia are ubicated here.) It also contains a shocking amount of wildlife within its territories. Multiple bird species, flowers, and even Bloxarctic animals are located here. The temperature and location of the state help it to being isolated, as the temperatures in winter can get severe. It is home to the University of Rolaska Museum of the North.
It borders with the Bloxarctic Ocean to the north, Bloxanada and the Telamon Sea to the east, and Roregon to the south. The state capital is Deerfield, famous due to its natural wonders and for containing the largest pier for cruise ships in all of the Telamon Coast. Due to its history, it contains the largest community of Tovokians within the country, with 23% percent of its population being directly Tovokians or descendants.History
At around 14,000BC, the state was first populated, thanks to the immigration of Baojians to North Bloxmerica. They were originally Ro-Siberians that were nomads, they introduced various species to the continent. They were fishers and hunters, mostly because fruit was extremely scarce and only some of the inhabitants were able to at least eat something that is not fish/meat/berries on their lifespan.
The state was first discovered in 1741, when a Ro-Danish explorer called "Invictus Berblox" lead a Tovokian expedition through the Berblox Strait. In 1721, Invictus Berblox was interested in exploring the strait, along with a Romarkian explorer "George Stellar". Some Ro-Spanish explorers and missionaries were interest in the Abloxtian Islands, but their influence was limited compared to the Tovokians.
The first settlements of Ro-Russians were made around 1772, but the first permanent settlement was made 12 years later, in 1784. The Ro-Russians then made it an official territory of the kingdom until March 30, 1867, when the state secretary of the United States of Robloxia called the meeting with the representant of the Ro-Russians for the trade of Rolaska for R$2.88 billion.
Between 1890 and 1900, Rolaska experienced the "Klondike Gold Rush", which caused thousands and thousands of citizens from all of Robloxia and Roblox to move to Rolaska. The cities of "Skwagway" and "Dawsons City" became known as principal activity centers. The state flag was designed in 1927, by a 13-year-old male native Robloxian, and the territory became a state in 1959.
The state became one of the richest in the nation when in 1968, in the Prudblox Bay, the government discovered oil, making it an attractive site for immigration among citizens and it became known Roblox-wide.
Geography
While Rolaska is the biggest state in the United States of Robloxia, there are only 900,000 residents living within it. This is thanks to its geography. Rolaska has the greatest number of notable mountains, and it is not connected to the Robloxian homeland by land, making it very hard to live in (as the transportation to other parts of the country are blocked and can only be achieved by going through other country, through sea or through air).
The state contains an ungodly number of glaciers, much of them can be seen by going through a cruise ship (fun fact: the tourism industry in Rolaska represents a big amount of its GDP). It contains over a lot of tidal shorelines. It is also home to one of the largest volcanoes are also ubicated in the state (mostly in the Abloxtian Islands). The state has more than three million lakes and marshlands, and permafrost covers a big part of it.
Rolaska is the coldest state of Robloxia, with the coldest temperature being -84°F (or -62°C). Most of the state's climate is classified as subarctic. The southeastern part of the state is the warmest year-round. The state receives a neat 6,980mm of precipitation yearly, although, the climate of Rolaska depends a lot on where one is is ubicated. In the north, the climate is rough, but if in the southeast, the climate is relatively warm.
Economy
Rolaska economy depends heavily on oil and petroleum exportations, it dominates the state industry as a state monopoly representing 80% of the state gross income. The state's main exports (excluding oil and gas) are seafood, agriculture within the state is extremely small, and the products produced are normally consumed within the state, not exported. The state, excluding the oil and gas, has an important number of natural resources, like gold (In fact, it is the only state in Robloxia to produce platinum). Rolaska has an important amount of tourism revenue, as a lot of cruise ship companies are dedicated merely on exploring the state.
