Presidential elections were held in the United States on November 4, 2028. The Democratic ticket of former Central Robloxia governor and representative Oliver Fisher of Rovada and representative Alexander Lewis of Rossota defeated the Republican ticket of incumbent Vice President Matthew Smith and senator Thomas Davidson.
In the Republican primaries, incumbent Vice President Matthew Smith was considered as a potential runner-up and eventually became the party’s presidential nominee by April, successfully defeating opponents U.S. Representative Freddie Burton and Brookville Mayor Isabel West. Davidson had officially launched his presidential campaign but then dropped out due to a lack of funds. Around ten notable candidates emerged in the Democratic primaries, including challengers Connor Cervantes, who was viewed as the “underdog” of the party, and Jackson Smith, but Oliver Fisher, the party's presidential nominee in 2014, was able to secure the nomination for the second time by June, due to his overwhelming popularity over the years. Though Thomas Chambers, Fisher’s initial choice for vice president, was highly viewed as Fisher’s running mate, Alexander Lewis was chosen after initially becoming one of the runners-up before suspending his campaign after failing to win enough votes to become the presumptive nominee. Unlike the previous three presidential elections, after his horrendous defeat, former president David “Builderman” Baszucki refused to participate in the 2028 election, ending the Corporatist Party’s chances of entering the race, in spite of various efforts to enter the election with several candidates and previously being seen as a potential runner-up.
The campaigns largely discussed domestic issues. Matthew Smith's tenderhearted and competitive campaign, which was described as "constructive, categorical, yet blemished," focused on promoting equality, making changes to both men's and women's rights, protecting civil rights, and instituting new taxes, while criticism was directed at his plan to significantly reshape the government and impose tariffs on targeted countries such as the Bacon Empire. The majority of Matthew's ideas focused on continuing Mason "Scorpio" Smith's policies, receiving widespread support from older voters. Similarly, Oliver Fisher's aggressive campaign was described as "superb," with a focus on strengthening the economy, universal healthcare, education reform, new gun laws, expanding civil rights, and good international relations, though some of his proposed plans, especially for the educational system, which received immense media attention, were questioned. Fisher was regarded as the "leader of the younger generation" by the Democratic Party, which, at the time of his nomination, received strong support from young and first-time voters. In polling, Oliver trailed Matthew early on due to the Republican Party's massive popularity, but as the campaign season progressed, the numbers improved with Smith very narrowly behind Oliver.
On election day, Oliver Fisher narrowly won the presidential election, earning over 493 electoral votes to Matthew’s 323, one vote shy of the estimated total needed to win. Fisher flipped key battleground states, such as Bloxburg Valley, which was Matthew’s home state and Roregon, while containing all of the states that he had won in the 2014 presidential election. His victory was described as “appalling, staggering, and a major win,” as a Democratic candidate hadn’t won a general election since 1994 and had lost in three consecutive elections. Having originally been considered a potential close race, Fisher won the popular vote by a sizable margin for the first time in his two runs for president. As a result of the Corporatist Party not being in the election for the first time since 1994, Central Robloxia, Bloxtana, South Bloxlina, and North Bloxlina were described as some of the tipping-point states, with Fisher and Matthew winning two of them each. Supporters of Matthew and the Republican Party requested various recounts, which many saw as an attempt to overturn the election, while Matthew accepted the results.
Background
In the United States, a president cannot run for a third term, is only allowed to serve two terms, and the length of a term has been reduced from ten to four years. In November 2024, incumbent Republican president Mason “Scorpio” Smith won the presidential election in a landslide victory with over 400 electoral votes, the first since 1964. His running mate, Matthew Smith, was elected as the vice president of the United States and at the age of 40, he became among the youngest people to be assumed the role of vice president.
Several members of both the Democratic and Republican Parties expressed concern about an increase in potential election-related violence, which was a major factor in the 2024 presidential election, and called for increased security around the United States and its candidates. Mason was seen as a likely target, which was a result of him nearly killed two twice; one during the campaign season and another one during his first year as president. Matthew Smith stated that "violence is not and will not be the solution. You may disagree with our ideas or despise us for being the 'worst of the worst', but you cannot take a life because of it. We have a lifetime ahead of us. You have a lifetime ahead of you. Don’t destroy that life and don’t destroy ours”.

Following the 2024 United States presidential election and the decision to lengthen each term to four years, media speculation began on potential Democratic candidates. In the years leading up to the election, polls had shown that former Democratic candidate Oliver Fisher, who had previously ran for president, was considered to be a potential major runner-up, due to Oliver in view of “reshaping” the Democratic Party, in the aftermath of their historic loss. Throughout next year, Oliver Fisher led in nearly all of the polls, as a result of his arising popularity within the Democratic Party. Other Democratic candidates included Jackson Smith, a candidate in the 2025 Bloxburg City mayoral election; Thomas Chambers, who had previously ran for vice president under Fisher; and Edward Harper, former Governor of Rossota. In January 2027, almost two years before the election, Oliver Fisher announced his campaign for president of the United States under the Democratic Party and was among the first candidates to do so.

Primaries
The Democratic Party presidential primaries were held between January 4 and July 2. Oliver Fisher, as before, showed great strength in early polls, holding the lead for months due to his reliance on younger voters, particularly men and women, as well as older people, a strategy he used in the 2014 election. Furthermore, at the start of the primaries, Fisher was extremely popular among young voters and was regarded as a possible front-runner for the nomination. As many expected, Fisher won the New Bloxia primary by more than 10% and went on to win Bloxwaii and Romont. Braylen Whitfield announced on February 21 that his campaign would end due to his failure to win any of the recent primaries, but promised to "focus on helping build the strength of the party with Fisher."
However, by late April, challenger Jackson Smith had gained some ground in several polls and had significant success with voters in several key battleground states, including Bloxburg Valley, but Oliver quickly reclaimed first place by late May and into early June. Oliver's proposal that the Democratic Party focus on younger and first-time voters, which he viewed as a “key” to his potential victory, improved his polling numbers in those demographics, including Central Robloxia. Fisher won the Keysota, New Rampshire, Bloxington Island, and Bloxware caucuses in January and February of that year. Connor Cervantes, the Democratic Party's "underdog" who had gained little support, unexpectedly won the Ro Kansas and Eastern Robloxia caucuses, with Fisher in second place and Edward in third, in what was considered to be among the biggest upsets of the election. According to Connor's campaign, one of the reasons for his victory was that he "gained support from the Guests and Bacons," who had moved away from Fisher following his comment on them in early April. Fisher later apologized for the comment, claiming that it may have jeopardized his chances of winning in their respective states. Fisher attempted to make amends by visiting Connor for five rallies throughout the month before returning to his campaign. Following that, Bloxburg Valley and Central Robloxia were the states in May that decided who would be the Democratic Party's nominee, and starting from there, they were the primary focus of the primaries. On May 16, Jackson Smith announced that he would withdraw from the election.
Although Oliver spent an estimated five million on Central Robloxia and led in all of the polls, Connor won the caucus in what was one of the biggest upsets in the primaries. Despite that, Fisher won the Bloxburg Valley caucus, but not enough to become the nominee. In June, caucuses in Western Robloxia and Rohio were held. With Fisher and Connor in the lead, the states were determined to be the “one that decided the primaries.” Connor and Fisher took the lead in polls in Western Robloxia and Rohio, respectively. However, Fisher won both caucuses, ending Connor’s chances. On June 5, Fisher became the first candidate to successfully become the Democratic Party’s nominee for a second time. Connor originally refused to concede for days, believing that he had a wider lead in some of the states that Fisher won, but in the process damaged his reception within the party. He eventually accepted the results by June 10.
Vice presidential selection
In early March 2028, the Fisher campaign began to consider the position of running mate, which ranged between 10 and 15. RNN reported in April of that year that the campaign was "looking forward to welcoming Thomas," Fisher's original choice for vice president, and "give it another go." However, in June, Thomas stated that "after some time thinking about the decision to enter the race, I decided not to go for the role of Fisher's running mate." It is best that I give another person who shares his views, passion, love, and soul for the country a chance." According to The New Blockers Time, Fisher chose Bloxburg City mayor Dr. Lina Rivers and Keysota governor Elsie Lewis as his potential running mates.

Shortly after the 2024 election, media speculation of potential Republican candidates started to take shape, especially with the popularity of the party. In most of the early polls, President Mason “Scorpio” Smith was viewed as the “clear runner-up” in the primaries, with Vice President Matthew Smith coming in second place. Throughout the following years, Matthew closely trailed behind Mason in polls. By that time, Matthew had begun working on a campaign for president of the United States, which he formally announced on January 2, 2028. Although Mason was seen as highly popular with voters, Matthew was perceived as “the most favorable” candidate for the Republican Party.
Media connected Matthew’s strengthening popularity with young voters, who distanced themselves away from the Democratic Party and older people as well as male and elderly voters. Matthew was widely expected to win the majority of the state's caucuses in the Republican Party presidential primaries, which took place from January 8 to June 26 of that year, as he was frequently endorsed by many prominent candidates in the party's campaigns, as well as President Mason. Immediately, Matthew showed victory in the Baine, New Bloxico, Reorgia, Central Robloxia and Western Robloxia caucuses and overperformed in some of the states. His success in those primaries was due to Matthew connecting with those in the Guests, Skylers and controversially Dater's demographics, although his performances were less significant than by Mason in the 2024 election, regardless of the party’s traction. In April, Matthew became the Republican Party’s nominee for president of the United States.

Media coverage
A election ballot from Old Lake County, Bloxburg Valley, listing the Republican Party and Democratic Party's presidential and vice presidential candidates.
Similar to the 2024 presidential election, although not as chaotic, media coverage was extensive, with topics focusing on both the Democratic and Republican candidates. Oliver Fisher's views were described as "slightly positive" by the media, in contrast to his previous run for president in the 2014 election, during which the media frequently praised him, leading to confusion within the Democratic Party. The party attributed the lower level of positive sentiment toward Fisher to the Republican Party's popularity, believing that they had "brainwashed a good number of Democrats to join the Republicans side.” Fisher often dismissed the claim as “a lazy attempt” and said that it “was based on the person’s decision to vote for which candidate that they picked”.
Meanwhile, Matthew Smith was viewed by the media as “incompatible and unconnected” compared to Mason and other candidates in the Republican Party, focusing on incontrovertible-related subjects and respecting his opponent, which was highly unexpected and gained him attention with both media in the United States and other countries. Speculation of Matthew and Fisher being friends began to rise; however, Matthew quickly dismissed the claim as false and stated that “while we have major disagreements about important topics about the future of the United States, that doesn't mean we have to go on a rampage with hate toward each other.”
Education
Oliver Fisher promised to improve teaching methods and foster positive learning environments. He addressed the issue of working conditions and contributed to their improvement by raising wages, encouraging teachers' mental and physical health, and providing additional resources to local schools. Fisher held a series of rallies during Teacher Appreciation Week, which ran from May 5 to 9, focusing on the concept of completely reforming the educational system and addressing current issues. In a statement, Fisher stated that "bullying is an issue, school violence is an issue, teacher shortages are an issue, and, most importantly, the mental health of students, particularly those in high school and college, and even teachers, is becoming a crisis." Aside from that, standardized tests and school funding are issues." The New Blockers Times described Fisher's views on the current education system as "outdated and ineffective," stating that he "wanted the system to move forward and introduced it to new ideas and concepts that had never been done before”. According to RNN, Fisher "thought that the system frequently prioritizes standardized tests and rote memorization over critical thinking”. He expressed a desire to reduce the number of school days and hours, allow families to select "the best learning options" for their children, encourage creativity, and require students to manage their own schedules. When asked about President Mason "Scorpio" Smith's plans, Fisher stated that he enjoyed the approach that Mason took to improve the quality of education and that he did an excellent job doing so, but added that he "had a plan that was meant for the students and the young Robloxians," saying that "I will be one that both publicly and privately supports the students and listens to the concerns that they have regarding the state of the education system. I believe that by listening to the voices of students, including everyone, we explore genuine problems with the education system and thus improve the daily lives of those young ones”. Fisher supported solving poverty in schools by expanding early access to childhood education and providing various resources toward low-come schools, including foods and basic necessities.
During his campaign, Matthew Smith expressed his desire to improve the educational system, but he promised to continue Mason's plans. At several rallies between May 1 to 21, 2028, Matthew promised to fund education and establish community schools. He also promised to address the teacher shortage by better supporting teachers, providing them with more resources and good working conditions. He expanded on the idea of limiting the average class size to ten to fifteen students. In a speech on November 1, Matthew criticized Oliver's proposed plans, stating that "the system continued to provide high-quality institutions and diverse curricula," while partially supporting the plan to reduce the number of school days. He initially supported assigning less homework to local students, but believed that doing so would "decrease the development of independent study". At a rally on September 17, Matthew addressed the issue of teacher shortages, advocated for increased teacher preparation, and proposed various solutions to improve working conditions. He also addressed student behavior issues, stating that it is one of the reasons why teachers are leaving their jobs; in an October 23 speech on the subject, Matthew supported the idea of involving parents in the school community and directed teachers to create a positive classroom environment.
Climate change
During his campaign, Fisher promised to address climate change issues like fossil fuel dependency, deforestation, and greenhouse gas emissions through adaptation and policy and technological innovation. He added the concept of energy efficiency as a key component of addressing climate change, stating that it "reduces overall energy consumption and emissions," and he also introduced the concept of carbon capture, stating that it "helps reduce emissions. He expressed a desire to invest in and improve public transportation systems in order to "reduce reliance on personal vehicles". At a rally on November 1, Fisher asked the audience to "walk more, run more, bike more" in order to make "opinions more appealing". Though the statement was questioned by many members of the Democratic Party, Fisher later said that it was a "small lead to fixing climate change" and that there were "some ways that people can help solve climate change without doing too much through the simplest ways possible". He also mentioned that switching to plant-based diets would "reduce the environmental impact of food production" and urged all voters from both parties to do so. Fisher discussed the concept of technological solutions to climate change through energy storage. Fisher stated on October 7 that using AI and hazard forecasting would aid in the management of extreme weather events such as hurricanes and severe outbreaks like tornadoes and snow storms. He stated that doing so would help manage the effects of rising sea levels over the next 30 years.
Matthew Smith promised to continue President Mason "Scorpio" Smith's climate change policies through protecting the environment and the economy, while also introducing the concept of transitioning to renewable energy and improving farming in the United States. Similar to Fisher's plans, he directed his voters to conserve energy at home. Matthew addressed the key issues with rising temperatures in the United States and stated that "while he can't solve all of the problems with the temperatures", he promised to improve building insulation and develop heat-resistant infrastructure through extreme heat management.
Gun control
A yard sign, showing support for Fisher and Lewis in Wisconsin.
Gun control in the United States became among the important topics of the election, especially in counties that had been previously affected by gun violence, which was described by the media to “swing to whichever sides based on their decision of handling gun control better”. Matthew Smith strongly favored introducing strict gun laws, including completely removing assault-weapons away from citizens. This caused major controversy within the Republican Party as Matthew received a large amount of backlash from Mason supporters, partially damaging his reception in the election. Despite that, Matthew continued to express using the idea as president, convinced that mass shootings “would decrease dramatically” as a result. Matthew advocated raising the age to purchase firearms from eighteen to twenty-one. Matthew stated at an August 6 rally that if elected presid-ent, he would open trauma-informed care centers across the United States to help those affected by gun violence.
Oliver Fisher proposed new gun laws that would allow background checks and make private sales of firearms illegal, which received some support from gun owners. Fisher also supported-limiting access to assault-style weapons, though he expressed interest in completely banning them, improving accountability for serious levels of crime, and assisting those affected by crime as a means of reducing the number of mass shootings. When asked about Matthew’s plan, Fisher stated that Matthew “is very tough on ending violence and I loved that. The same goes with me and the same goes with him”. Fisher supported researching gun violence as a public health issue.
Economy
The economy was one of the election's most important topics. OOliver Fisher promised to cut taxes to increase disposable incomes, stating that "if Matthew ended up raising them, it could reduce economic activity and lead to long-term problems, such as low economic growth." Fisher also elaborated on the concept of lowering taxes. Fisher helped during his campaign to increase infrastructure investment, revitalize business investment, and advance the education system by encouraging students and young Robloxians in the United States to work part-time, budget, and "invest in their own future". Oliver also supported small businesses and local communities, stating that "these are important for the economy as they give the chance for new employment across the country" and help to lower unemployment rates. Fisher frequently referred to his economic plan as "more capital and labor" and described himself as "wanting to continue the legacy of someone else". In a November 1 speech, Oliver Fisher told young voters that "by assisting us, you can make the economy stronger, better, more powerful, and vigorous than ever before, and that is all thanks to you all, the boys, the girls, the men, and the women”.
Matthew Smith argued that raising taxes would increase government revenue, improve public services, reduce foreign competition, and encourage consumers to buy local products. In response to his plan, Oliver said at a rally, "To be honest, I don't want to be so harsh on you. However, instead of focusing on the wealthy and the government, you should consider your country's citizens and those who have worked for their future," expressing disapproval of Matthew's proposal. Economic experts chastised Matthew for proposing 25% to 50% tariffs on other countries, including the Bacon Empire, if elected, claiming that this would protect domestic industries while also increasing government revenue. Fisher chastised him, stating that "Brother, we don’t want a trade war”. Matthew put forward the idea of encouraging innovation, adding that it would "support technological advancements" and "encourage research and development." Additionally, he backed tax system reform, saying it "would encourage investment and economic activity." Matthew discussed the "Circular Economy" at several points during his campaign, which employs methods to cut waste and encourage resource efficiency.
Health care
- Main article: Health care
Health care, while less significant than in the previous two elections, emerged as a major issue in the election. Throughout his campaign, Oliver Fisher promised to expand access to universal healthcare and proposed a new plan. He also agreed with the idea of strengthening primary care and improving care coordination. Fisher incorporated ideas from his 2014 campaign, particularly advanced disease research and studies. Fisher spoke at a rally about how health-care reform would lower the cost of insurance. He also addressed the major issues confronting the healthcare system, such as rising costs, citizens' lack of health insurance, and labor shortages. He promised to cut costs, strengthen public health infrastructure, reduce fragmented care, and educate the public about the major issues confronting the healthcare system today. Fisher proposed plans to reduce prescription drug prices and healthcare costs, emphasizing the plan's economic benefits.
Matthew Smith aimed to improve the quality of mental health care while increasing patient access, citing the rise in mental illness as the primary reason. He advocated for the funding of community mental health clinics. He discussed how to reduce wait times by eliminating inefficiencies and optimizing the process. Matthew, like Fisher, expanded on the idea of reforming the healthcare system by enacting new policies and laws that promote better resource utilization. Matthew, like Fisher, spoke at a rally on September 9 about lowering prescription drug prices.
Woman and man's rights
Oliver Fisher hoped to advance both men's and women's rights by educating "the next generation" about gender equality, speaking out against gender stereotypes, and putting an end to violence against women. He also proposed giving men the right to privacy and promised to address issues like wrongful convictions, among others. Fisher also promised to legalize same-sex marriage in all states, citing the protection of all citizens as the main reason.
Matthew Smith aimed to make both men and women equal and similar to Fisher, and he communicated with supporters about the importance of ending hatred, racism, and violence against both genders. Matthew, like Fisher, promised to make new changes to women's and men's rights, including education, reproductive rights, and employment.
Civil rights
Oliver Fisher promised to expand civil rights, which the media described as "out of the blue and backwards," and this became one of his most well-known campaign topics. He promised to expand legal protections and significantly challenge discriminatory practices by eliminating them, treating citizens equally, and encouraging social activism. During his campaign, he suggested reforming the juvenile justice system. He also promised to protect the rights of Furries and Free Citizens, stating that "every Robloxian deserves their rights, no matter what, and I will always support them through every single moment of my life". He promoted the idea of fair housing and expressed interest in creating a new law that would expand civil rights for all citizens, including those of Bacons, Guest and Noobs and ones that felt “underrepresented”. On September 8, Fisher stated, "Civil rights are for everyone! And everyone should have the right to be free, to live a strong life, and to feel welcome, regardless of whether they are Bacon, Daters, Emos, Free Citizen, Furry, Guest, Skyler, or any other group. They are and will be welcomed in the United States, no matter what!".
Matthew Smith stated in a post that he "liked Fisher's ideas" but had very few ideas for "stretching" civil rights, despite the fact that he intended to reform civil rights late in his campaign, such as passing new legislations.
Commericals
During the campaign seasons, Fisher and Matthew earned an estimated $500 to 700 million in commercials, half of which were broadcast on television. Fisher, who considered himself a "partial liberal," wanted to emphasize "what the United States would be truly about under his leadership: freedom, liberty, democracy, and opportunity." Fisher also developed the idea of portraying Matthew as a "fairly decent person, but would do poorly in filling the country with dreams compared to him”.
Party conventions
The Democratic National Convention was held from August 9 to 13. Several notable speeches, including former president George W. Roblox were delivered from the front stage. Oliver Fisher announced on the final night of the event that he had accepted the nomination for President of the United States. A series of protests outside the convention, led by Matthew supporters and those opposed to Fisher and his campaign, caused a brief delay on the third night. Outside of "Let's Do This, Together," and "Say No to the Past and Say Yes to the Future," Fisher's most highly-praised slogan, "The Dream to Create the Future," was first mentioned during his speech.
The Republican National Convention was held from August 22 to 26. Matthew Smith won and accepted the party’s nomination for president of the United States. His slogan, “Heading Down a Better Path,” was often used during his rallies and was initially said during his final speech on the last night of the convention. Similar to those at the Democratic National Convention, a group of protests, which were against Matthew’s plans of resizing the government and tariffs, took place.
Presidential debates
Presidential debates were held in the United States between August 29 and November 2, 2028, two days before the election.
Expressions and phrases
- “Because we believe in the great country of Robloxia”: Used by Oliver Fisher during his rallies during the mid-campaign season, which was strongly positively received by Democrats members, as a way to highlight “strength and power”, as well as to impress young or first-time voters. It was first mentioned in a February 2027 speech, following his announcement for president of the United States under the Democratic Party brand.
- “One goal is a person’s dream”: A popular sentence by Oliver Fisher during the final night of the Democratic National Convention to showcase a person’s dreams and to personally connect with voters, especially younger ones around the United States. Fisher stated that the quote was meant to replace his early message of “Hope for the future” that was mentioned during his 2014 campaign.
- “Please quiet down, Oliver”: A sentence by Matthew Smith during the first presidential debate, where he peacefully asked Oliver to settle down in a relaxed voice, rather than reacting in a negative light. Media believed that his decision to do so “may have helped him receive a small, yet good amount of supporters”.

Endorsements
Oliver Fisher was notably endorsed for president of the United States by Bloxburg News, Robloxian Times, The New Blockers Times, AAK Network, Los Angelox Times, Telamon News Channel, Robloxia Today, and Roregon News, while Matthew received endorsements from RBX News, Dawg News, AAK Network 2, GNC News and Roblox News, as well as right-leaning news sources.
In a public message, Brookhaven Radio FM announced that they would be endorsing Matthew Smith after endorsing a Democratic candidate for decades. Prior to the election, Avast Television News originally expressed not endorsing a candidate for president, but eventually approved Matthew. Several of the news’s endorsements, who either approved of Fisher or Matthew, were located in Bloxburg Valley, a key battleground state in the election.
Election forecasts
Election forecasts were conducted through methods, such as polls from swing states, to predict the final outcome of the election. Models by websites ElectoralForecasts, RNN and The New Blockers Times were used by various news channels. Those models highly showcased a Democratic lean, citing interest in the party among young and first-time voters, Oliver’s improvements in key battleground states, independents, and those that had moved away from the Republican Party over a period of four years. Models that had favored a Republican victory cited their reasons for the continuing rise in popularity in the party: Matthew’s less, yet stable, improvement among older voters; supporters of Mason that promised to vote for Matthew; and those that had voted Republican for decades.
- "Tossup": no advantage for both candidates
- “Tilt”: tight advantage
- “Lean”: slight advantage
- “Likely”: favorable advantage of victory
- “Safe”: huge chance of victory

Polling accuracy
National polls underestimated Matthew’s support. Blocahoma was projected to lean Republican by 3% prior to the election; however, Matthew won the state by 7%. Similarly, Brickland was expected to be won by Matthew by 9%, down from 11 points, but he carried the state by three percentage points, 13%. Early polling showed that Matthew was set to win the state of Central Robloxia by 11 points, but eventually won the state by three more points to 14%.
Fisher's support was also understated by the polls; Ro Guma was predicted to be won by Fisher by 15 points, but he won by four more points; Wisconsin was predicted to be won by a slim one-point margin, but Fisher won it by four more points to 5%; and Roregon was predicted to be won by Fisher by two points, but he carried it by two more points to 4%. One poll predicted that Fisher would easily win the state of Brickland, but Matthew won by a large margin, while another predicted Fisher would win Rovada by one point, but the Republican nominee won by a slim margin.

Conduct
Election night

The presidential election was officially held on November 4. Early into the evening at around 5:00 p.m., Matthew arrived at the White House, before the first polls closed, to discuss a meeting with his president before heading to his Bloxburg Valley headquarters. At the time, Oliver Fisher arrived at his headquarters and entered a room crowded with his manager, employees, and family members to watch the results. According to Matthew, he was "very hopeful that he was going to win the race" and that he "would be viewed as the party's new leader". Fisher then informed his campaign manager that he was going to take a nap and rest inside another room. Matthew started the election in the lead by 6:00 p.m., winning Bloxtana, North Dabloxa, and South Dabloxa, and later on, earned the states of Eastern Robloxia and North Bloxlina by 6:30 p.m. with a total of 64 electoral votes, while Oliver was only at three. In an interview with Roblox News, Matthew described his initial reaction to being in the lead as "the most wonderful thing I ever saw" and "only made me more excited." At the same time, Oliver noticed that his campaign manager was "fearing for the worst" and instructed him to "wait for out" until more results were received. Around this time, Fisher supporters began to enter the nominee's headquarters. Following that, Oliver informed his family that he would be taking a quick twenty-minute nap in another room. However, he accidentally slept for over an hour.

Immediately following the second round of polls closing at 8:00 p.m., Fisher received Roregon, North Bloxifornia, South Bloxifornia, and the Kionne Republic, earning him 50 electoral votes, while Matthew won Rossota, Nebloxa, and Ro Kansas, strengthening his electoral count to 101. According to a spokesperson, one of Fisher's friends considered waking him up to inform him of the new results, but decided instead to wait for a "hopeful surprise". However, with results from the third round of polls closing at 8:00 p.m., Oliver took the lead as he gained Western Robloxia, Rohio, Bloxissouri, Bloxuisiana, and eventually Reorgia. Though there were major concerns about Matthew's potential comeback and victory at Fisher's headquarters, which would continue the streak of the Democratic losing the election for the fourth time in a row, the "fear died down as more states went for Fisher and was quickly heading on his way to pass over Matthew". His campaign manager described the crowd's reaction to Fisher flipping states, including Rohio, Western Robloxia, and Reorgia, as "the loudest reaction that he heard," causing the "whole room to shake."
Fisher did surprisingly well in the states of Blorida and Roregon, where he successfully flipped all two of them to the Democratic side. The fourth and final round of polls by 10:00 p.m. closing made Fisher lead even further in the electoral count by winning Wisconsin and Rowia. Matthew stated that "over what seemed like forever, the mood in the room went from joyful to silent. Just dead silent with sorrow. No words. My friends are looking at the television with disappointment and belief. In my mind, I was crying; outside, I wasn't, but I was close." His campaign manager opened the room where he was sleeping at 11:02 p.m. and woke him up excitedly. Oliver was reportedly perplexed by what was going on and realized moments later that he was in the lead.
By that point, at around 12:05 a.m., Experts and those that had worked with Mason had reached an agreement at Matthew HQ that Oliver would win the election. Connor Jordan, the campaign's director, chatted with Matthew in a another room and told him to conclude, but he refused until the winner was decided, surprising Connor because Oliver only needed either Bloxburg Valley or Western Robloxia, where he was leading in the former, to win the election and thus the presidency. According to Connor, Matthew "asked him to wait a little longer and to give him one chance to prove that he could make a comeback" before realizing there was no going back and going into another, much smaller room after about ten minutes. Matthew stated that shortly after, he cried softly in bed and "wondered to himself about what was wrong with his campaign and how he had failed everyone." After fifteen minutes, Matthew called Oliver to congratulate him on his victory and wish him well. Oliver had noted that Matthew was “very emotional” because he could hear his voice "cracking" and that "if it was like that he was about to let it all out again". He consoled him and stated that "he did a good job" before hanging up, which Matthew described as the "most painful moment in my entire life".
Bloxburg Valley was confirmed by all major networks to be in Oliver's column at 1:06 a.m., resulting in his victory, the first for a Democratic candidate since 1994. When asked about his initial reactions to his victory, Oliver admitted that "among the cheering and clapping, I froze. I didn't expect to get this far. To be honest, I didn't believe it was real. It's not real; I tried to repeat myself but failed. That's when it hit me: "God gave me the opportunity to lead a nation, and so I teared up with joy and pride." According to one of his friends, Oliver hugged his entire family together and thanked him for “supporting him throughout the journey”. He stated that he received a video of his supporters cheering just minutes before preparing to walk onto the stage to address the country. Matthew addressed his supporters through his concession speech by 1:20 a.m., while minutes after the announcement, Oliver gave his victory speech by 1:45 a.m.

Reactions
Domestic
Republicans were extremely optimistic about Matthew winning the election, with some predicting a similar landslide victory to his president Mason Smith, but Oliver Fisher's victory left Republicans "stunned and dumbfounded". Even Democrats, who had been severely worried over the Republican Party’s popularity and believed that Matthew would win, were left “enchanted”. Adam Lawrence, who correctly predicted Mason's victory in the 2024 presidential election, predicted Matthew's victory in a similar landslide and issued a statement following the story saying "I mess up. Big time”. Lilly Moss, a presidential election expert and analyst, predicted a narrow Fisher victory, but was surprised when the candidate outperformed in some states that Mason had won by a landslide four years earlier, stating that "About Fisher. I'm like... stunned. For example, he was able to flip some of the most red counties in the country in his favor. Even so, the majority of the counties that voted for Matthew were relatively close. Only a few hundred or thousands, and Oliver would have claimed the county. All for himself”.
Royce Key, a Republican expert who had supported Mason during his presidency, described the feeling of Matthew losing as “stupefy”, stating that “Matthew had it all. He had everything in his hands, but by hour and hour, all of the things in his hands slowly flew into nothing. Honestly, my whole body just stopped working. My mouth was wide open and my eyes were getting watery as I read the horrified words of Oliver’s name”. Media analyst Jacob Clark said that a video of Oliver Fisher's concession speech during the 2014 presidential election "went viral for the purpose of making fun of the Democratic Party and their supporters; shown crying in the event that Oliver lost the presidential election.
Voter fraud was alleged by supporters of those who voted for Matthew but also supported Donald Trumpblox or Mason Smith in the 2014 and 2024 presidential elections, and they called for a recount in every state. Due to anticipated riots and violence, all states declared that there were no verified allegations of "any sort of voter fraud" and that the election was one of the "most secured." Although Oliver won the state by a wide margin, a recount was confirmed in Bloxington Island due to widespread protests against Matthew supporters, with the results remaining the same. Mason "Scorpio" Smith posted a tweet on Ro-Twitter after Matthew Smith's concession speech, asking, "How in the world did Fisher win the election? Like, seriously?”. Matthew responded by issuing a second statement in which he expressed "disappointment in everyone” and stated that his supporters and the Republican Party must "accept the election results”.
International
Various leaders and presidents around the world congratulated Oliver Fisher on his victory and expressed hope for the Democratic Party. Bloxanda reacted positively to Fisher's victory, with Robert Potts saying "I am hopeful that Fisher will carry on the legacy of making the United States of Robloxia a better and stronger country for everyone and to focus on strengthening our friendship together". Bloxico congratulated Fisher on his electoral victory, saying “Felicito a Fisher, a sus amigos y a su campaña por su gran victoria. Espero que traigan gran poder, gran alegría y, lo más importante, que continúen el legado del expresidente Mason”.
Recounts and attempts to overturn the election
Immediately following the election, supporters of Mason, Matthew, and Trumpblox protested the results and claimed voter fraud, including those in the state of Bloxington Island, where Fisher easily won, and Republican Party supporters rioted for several days. In response to the protests, Bloxington Island officials announced on November 9 that a recount would be held within two days; the official results showed a higher turnout and over six thousand votes were counted. The recount was completed by early morning on November 12 with nearly identical results, though Matthew's vote count increased by about 300 votes and Fisher’s vote count had only decreased by only five. Officials estimated that the ballots had been miscounted. As a result, Republican Party supporters blamed Oliver for "rigging the election”. Officials from the Matthew Smith presidential campaign conducted an investigation into the cause of the miscounted votes, with several representatives from the Oliver Fisher presidential campaign also participating. Following that, Republican Party officials ordered recounts in the following states: Bloxburg Valley, Blorida, Oregon, Wisconsin, Rowia, Western Robloxia, Eastern Robloxia, Brickland, Bloxtona, and the Kionne Republic, with Oliver Fisher winning the majority of them, having previously went for Mason Smith four years earlier, with a deadline of November 25, days before Fisher’s scheduled presidential inauguration.
According to media reports, the recounts were initiated because the Republican Party believed that the Democratic Party had "created an overwhelming number of fake ballots and forced the workers at the polls to count them as official," resulting in Fisher's victory. Fake news circulated on social media that over 10 million ballots cast for Matthew went missing during the election, were thrown away, and destroyed. Ryan Griffiths, the Matthew campaign's head director, made a false statement, claiming, "We won the election." We did. However, Fisher, his stupid party, his dumb ass supporters, and his dumb friends and family rigged them. We won't let this happen. We will rise up and claim his victory for ourselves. This is our country! Not his communist country”. On November 23, a lawsuit was launched against the Fisher campaign for “voter fraud”. Several campaign workers stated that the Republican Party is attempting to "overturn the election" and that they "refused to let them slide". Eventually, the lawsuit was dismissed on the day of Fisher’s inauguration.
In a speech on November 26, Matthew Smith responded, "And yes. I had been briefed on the current recounts and lawsuits. If I had to be honest with my party, to my supporters, and to my friends who believe that we won the election, take a look in the mirror and think to yourself: "Am I doing the right thing? No, you're not. You are disrupting the peaceful power of transition of another administration, and I am nothing but disappointed. I expected more from you since I stepped onto that stage a month ago. I expected you all to accept the results. All I wanted was for you to deal with the fact that Fisher will be our President of the United States. But, God. Please stop the goodman lies”. The Republican Party reacted negatively to Matthew's speech, and protests were held near the recording location as well as in his hometown of Bloxburg.
Analysis
Fisher is the first Democrat to win the electoral college and the popular vote since 1994, when the party had lost the previous three presidential elections. Fisher was also the first Democrat to make a historic comeback in terms of electoral votes, receiving between 150 to 221 more than Harris. He won by a margin of 6.49% and received an estimated 6,800,000 more votes than Matthew, whose votes dropped by approximately 76%, with an estimated total vote drop of around 127,940,232, the largest for any candidate; the low turnout is a major factor for Matthew’s unexpected defeat. In total, approximately 211 to 213 million ballots were cast during the election.
Prior to the election, many people were concerned about Oliver's ability to win the electoral college, which was linked to the party's defeats in the previous three elections and the unexpected emergence of new parties in the 2024 election, despite the Republican Party being the sole rival. Some also attributed the party's failures to the rival's success during Mason "Scorpio" Smith's presidency and Matthew's success. However, Fisher performed admirably. Fisher flipped several states that had gone Republican the previous election, including Bloxburg Valley and Rohio, which he won by large margins. Oliver won Keysota, Florida, and Blocco Rico by only two points. He improved by one point in Kionne Republic and two points in Balabama. With Matthew, he increased his vote share in states like North Dabloxa and Eastern Robloxia by three points each, and flipped states like Bloxoming, Blocahoma, and South Bloxlina.
Matthew's 14-point win in Central Robloxia and Fisher's 19-point win in Ro Guam were the candidates' largest margins, while the former’s 1-point lead in South Bloxina and latter’s Keysota were their lowest. The largest electoral votes that each candidate received was Central Robloxia’s 86 for Matthew and Bloxburg Valley’s 68. Matthew received the most electoral votes from Central Robloxia, with 86, followed by Bloxburg Valley with 68. Fisher won all of the states he retained in the 2014 election, which included the following: Bloxington Island, Oregon, North Bloxifornia, South Bloxifornia, Kionne Republic, Wisconsin, Rowia, Western Robloxia, Rohio, Bloxissouri, Bloxarakansas, Bloxuisiana, Balabama, Reorgia, Blocco Rico, Bloxwaii, Robloxian Samoa, and Ro Guam. It was the first time that Roillinois citizens were given the right to vote, and they chose Fisher with 18 electoral votes. Oliver won all of the states from Republicans by two to nineteen points, with an average margin of four points. Fisher won young and first-time voters by 71-29, Guests by 52-48, Furries by 51-49, and Bacons by 54-46, whereas Matthew won older voters by 81-19 and Skylers by 53-47.
Matthew's defeat
Matthew’s defeat in the election race received media analysis, especially considering the party’s hope for victory early on. Unpopularity was viewed as one of the primary causes of the vice president's defeat. Matthew Smith was elected to the office in 2024 with high approval ratings, along with president Mason "Scorpio" Smith. However, Matthew's approval ratings gradually decreased over the years, and by the time the general campaign season began, ratings were between 35 and 50%. Various explanations were provided, but RNN stated that "either none of them make sense or didn't match what really happened" and cited the Republican Party's popularity. According to The New Blockers Time, early in the season, Matthew Smith was "upset of those that would not accept the election if he lost," despised supporters who threatened violence against the rival's party, and as a result, most of Mason's supporters "turned against Matthew" and saw him as a "Republican that was secretly a Democrat."
Furthermore, the decision to impose tariffs on counties, including the Bacon Empire, and the proposal to completely ban assault weapons, which followed some of Fisher's ideas, harmed his standing with the Republican Party. As stated by RNN, Matthew "intended to show a dislike to those that wanted the country to go far-right" as well as "aimed for a centrist political ideology that mixed with Democratic and Republican plans" .According to exit polls, 18% of Matthew's supporters are somewhat dissatisfied with Mason "Scorpio" Smith's presidency, which was deemed "shocking" due to the party's popularity of the president. After the election, a group of polls revealed that Mason supporters believed that "Matthew was leaning toward views and ideas of those from the Democratic". Except for North Dabloxa, Eastern Robloxia, South Bloxlina, Blocahoma, and Bloxoming, nearly every state voted to the left in the election. Matthew won both of the most leftward-leaning states, Central Robloxia and Bloxoming
Fisher's victory
The analysis of Fisher's victory looked at a variety of factors. Social media was cited as one of the primary reasons for his victory. Fisher used a new social media strategy on the videos through podcasts, interviews with various networks and one that included positive content while introducing his positions and ideas for the United States based on research and data, in an attempt to reach out to disaffected and first-time voters. According to RNN, the Fisher campaign was looking for those who "felt left out," including contacting voters who had not voted in recent presidential elections and "giving them a hand." Roblox News claims that Fisher "from the very beginning of his campaign had planned to reach out to younger voters and have a platform that equally focused on the issues that were overlooked that both young and old voters had, even if the country seems to be at its peak". According to The New Blockers Times, Fisher's platform was to "focus on problems that had been lingering for decades, if not generations," including the state of the educational system.
Another reason was that Fisher "campaigned on the support of the people to help alongside him on key issues". Hank Shields stated that one of the major goals that the Fisher's campaign was "set to do" was to "bring the citizens of the United States and ask them to help, even in the smallest ways possible, in order to make some sort of process”. He also stated that Fisher wanted to connect with all groups of voters, regardless of their parties or views, through their "personalities and identities," with the goal of making voters feel "relatable to him." He concluded by describing how "through the strong reliable connection with voters, Fisher was able to get those voters that had previously voted for Mason, were Republican or three-party voters or ones that simply feel disconnected from the parties and bring them back to prove that there is a chance that one guy will listen to them" . According to another article from The New Blockers Times, while “not pushing the other issues away”, Fisher's main campaign focus was "all about the problems with education," such as teacher shortages, low pay, a lack of school funding, and mental health, in order to gain support from middle-aged voters who voted Democratic or Republican. According to the article, Fisher "noticed key issues with students, including inequality in access and resources, and especially their mental health"; as a result, Fisher received overwhelming support from young voters.
Notes
- ↑ In the 2024 presidential election, three Republican candidates were officially listed: Mason "Scorpio" Smith, Donald Trumpblox, and Maris. As a result, Mason (Green) and Maris (Orange) were given two new colors instead of the traditional Republican Party color, red, which was given for Trumpblox. For this list, except for white (for the state of Central Robloxial; received by David "Builderman" Baszucki) and yellow (for the states of Blocahoma, Bloxoming and South Bloxlina; received by Puma), the color red is used for all three Republican candidates
