New Blockers, officially New Blockers City or NBC in its acronym, is one of the main cities of Robloxia and the world. Since the turn of the century, it is one of the centers of Roblox's economy. New Blockers is considered a global city, because of its Roblox-wide influences in media, politics, education, architecture, entertainment, arts and fashion. The city's relevance on many levels makes it, along with Ro-Toronto, Bloxburg City, Sao Bloxauro and Ro London, one of the most globalized cities on the planet. It is the most densely populated major city in Robloxia and is located at the southern tip of the State of New Bloxia.
There are four boroughs of New Blockers City.
The city was formerly depleted after an asteroid hit it, but chikorita152e rapidly rebuilt the city, bringing the city back to normal in under 24 hours.
The City of New Blockers is also known for having absolutely the most mind boggling, insane, highest local tax rates ever. Having an average NBC citizen spend around 19,325 for local taxes annual (this is primarily, and actually only caused by the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Fire Department of New Blockers, and New Blockers City Police Department, with their also tinier metropolitan divisions).
History

Bobhero's Mayorship
On June 18, 2009, 19:14:45, the mayor elected to New Blockers City resigned. After hearing this, a Robloxian named Bobhero applied to become a candidate of the 2009 New Blockers City Emergency Mayoral Election and the deputy mayor said he would like to become a candidate, and applied too. As such, the next day, namely June 19, 2009, was designated as an emergency election day in New Blockers City to elect the new mayor of New Blockers City. On 19:14:45 of that day, betting markets predicted that Bobhero would win the election with near certainty, and by midnight, when the poll counts were completed after the polls closed, Bobhero won the election. On June 20, 2009, Bobhero decided to pass an executive order, providing unemployment and employment benefits to all of its citizens with a short required application, thus no waiting period. Those benefits were hourly payments of $60 along with $20 for filing the short required application and do not expire, and they are also exempt from being treated as income for tax-related purposes.
On November 3, 2009, another election occurred when the deputy mayor announced his candidacy again on June 20, 2009, a new mayor announced his candidacy sometime between June 20, 2009 and November 3, 2009, and Bobhero himself. Bobhero won that election too.
On November 5, 2013, Bobhero won the 2013 New Blockers City Mayoral Election, with a 91% approval rating which matched the 91% of the popular vote, despite having <1% voter turnout. However, he would do something controversial on December 25, 2016, when a televised address confirmed that he would remove the train system in New Blockers City, arguing that it was "broken and outdated". He swore that it will be replaced with a better one, but a better one never arrived as of the 2017 New Blockers City Mayoral Election on November 7, 2017. Other things he said in the televised address was the demolition of the city's John F. Kenny International Airport, swearing to build a new one soon; all the homes in the city, arguing that it created "too much lag", swearing to build new apartments and homes soon; all the schools in the city, arguing that it had "too much parts" (this resulted in school workers being laid off); defunding the New Blockers City Fire Department, leading to it to declare bankruptcy under a certain chapter of bankruptcy (it also laid off its firefighters), while swearing to reform it; and street lights and traffic lights, arguing they were "poorly optimized. Unfortunately all of his promises never came to fruition, inciting a massive riot that lasted until November 6, 2017, when a rioter somehow managed to hijack a bomber, fly it to New Blockers City, and bombed key buildings, such as the deputy mayor (TheFailedOverseer)'s building, the city council building (housing the city council and its president), the board of commissioners building (housing the board of commissioners and the commissioner), the board of boroughs building (housing the board of boroughs and the board president), and the city employment building (housing the city employees), resulting in the deaths of the entire Bobhero cabinet as presented, except for one, which declared martial law on the city and an election, to which some declared candidacy for the election immediately. Peaceful protests to impeach Bobhero for "misconduct, corruption, misuse of funds, incompetence, and being simulation theorist" escalated to the point where the city turned itself into a battleground similar to one would find in a Roblox War 2 city and resulting in a mass exodus of the city which ultimately resulted in the city reverting back to a town as it had 1,499 robloxians living on it at that time, making it the smallest in its entire recorded history as it even beat the 1698 record of 4,937 robloxians when the city was founded; most of the robloxians who left the city sought asylum and refuge in other cities near New Blockers City at that time.
Bobhero impeached, Harrington's mayorship, Jefferson's first mayorship and impeached, and Adam's mayorship
On November 7, 2017, the next mayor of the city won the election, effectively stripping Bobhero of his mayorship rights and reverting himself to a private citizen, which he still is today. On November 8, 2017, the mayor immediately issued an executive order to speedily rebuild the city's train system, the airport, apartments, homes, schools, fire department, street lights, traffic lights, and government buildings, which took less than 24 hours. He also rescinded the executive order Bobhero made on June 20, 2009, causing everyone in the city to stop receiving tax-exempt hourly benefits. In his famous inauguration speech on January 1, 2018, he roasted Bobhero as a "simulation theorist", proceeding to say "there is no lag in our universe, there is no parts in our universe, the universe is not poorly optimized, you are poorly optimized, you are the reason why our universe has parts, you are the reason why our universe has a lot of lag", effectively discrediting him for his pro-simulation beliefs. Finally, the ultimate roast: "If you so believe in simulation theorist beliefs, why do not you just write a piece of paper, call it a Script, declare your existence as a variable called existence, and finally, call existence:Destroy() on yourself?"

Later, the 2017-2021 mayor decided that they will not be seeking reelection despite the fact all the Robloxians who left the city returned after seeing an improved New Blockers City, allowing Berlin Harrington to be elected on November 2, 2021 and inaugurated on January 1, 2022. However, Harrington later resigned, allowing Julian Jefferson to be elected for his first term on November 14, 2022. Jefferson would oversee improvements as he implemented his policies over the next two years until 2024, when he was impeached by Republican and Corporatist supporters out of office. The impeachment was ordered by Donald Trumpblox and approved by Mason Scorpio Smith before he was inaugurated, as well as David Builderman Baszucki, and it was caused by him being accused for "destroying" New Blockers City with his wokeness. Micheal Adams replaced him after his impeachment. One of the things Adams did was to change the inauguration date from January 1 of the next calendar year to November 14 of the same calendar year.
SJ-2025BLOX
On Sunday, August 24th, 2025, someone from Bloxburg found a meteor that was originally headed for Bloxburg but got diverted to New Blockers City via a missile bound to Robloxity. The entire city was evacuated to clear the 256 mile big asteroid’s path. John F. Kenny International Airport was closed to stop airplanes from coming to the doomed city. Buses and trains are heavily booked by refugees headed to other states. Soon, the city beat its own record on November 6, 2017, when the city turned into a ghost town.
Later, after SJ-2025BLOX impacted the city, the goddess of lore chikorita152e decided to rebuild the entire city in less than 24 hours, causing everyone to return back on buses, trains, and airplanes to the city.
Julian Jefferson's Second Mayorship
Later, the 2025 New Blockers City Mayoral Election occurred on November 4, 2025, resulting in Jefferson securing a second term. On November 14, 2025, he was inaugurated.
