Neotopia is a country on Bloxartica, bordering the Bloxstralian Bloxartic Territory and Xenonist Unoon claims. It is the second largest territory on the continent, after the Bloxmania Union. It is also the second most populated territory with a population of around 400,000 as of late 2025. Despite its lack of international recognition, the country has a government and many governmental institutions, and its delegation is attending the Massagaf Conference and it is possible that the country will be recognized. On May 23, 2025, the country was granted observer status in the United Roblox Countries for the talks. On July 20, 2025, the country officially joined the organization.
Geography
Neotopia is located in the so-called East Bloxartica and stretches over a large area between the Commonwealth Sea and the Players' Sea in the Southern Ocean and the South Pole, where the country meets the others. The only official borders are with the Bloxstralian Bloxartic Territory and Xenonist Union claims, excluding the multi-point border on South Pole. Other countries have previously claimed Neotopia, but this has now been abandoned. The entire country has a subarctic climate with cold temperatures, with the country having both the coldest region of the continent and one of the warmest on the coast. There is little rainfall, as most of the country is covered by an icy desert. Fauna, flora and mycoflora are scarce. The coast is mainly inhabited, where there are warmer lowlands, and further inland there are increasingly empty highlands. The entire country, with the exception of a small part of the coast, is located below the Bloxarctic Circle, which results in low temperatures and polar nights and bottoms. The aurora australis, for which Neotopia is famous, can also be frequently observed.
History
Discoveries and first claims
The first robloxians arrived in what is now Neotopia only in the 20th century, as previously polar explorers had only been interested in other regions of Bloxartica. The first expeditions took place in the 1910s. In 1921, a Bloxian expedition led by Anthony Lingwood reached the cape of New Topia, giving it its name. In 1933, an expedition from Blox Zealand led by George Whitestone took place. During the expedition, the first camp was established in present-day Hopetown. The expedition then headed south, exploring the area surrounding the present-day town of Whitestone, named after the expedition leader. In 1949, a small group of polar explorers from Robloxia and Bloxanada reached Neotopia and established a camp in Brookhaven of the South. Soon, Bloxstralians began to take an interest in the area. In 1958, an expedition led by Andrew Woods traversed most of the coast to Brookhaven of the South, establishing numerous camps along the way. Bloxstralia soon attempted to establish a claim to these lands, with limited success. Numerous hamlets and camps soon sprang up there, though relatively few compared to the rest of Bloxartica. In 1976, a joint expedition of Bloxstralia, Blox Zealand, and Neo-Japan sent polar explorers to New Topia. The explorers then traversed the South Pole in difficult conditions, establishing several camps along the way.
The idea of an independent Neotopia
In 1985, Bloxstralian polar explorer Tyler Brown proposed the creation of a new nation on Bloxartica, which would be governed by polar explorers. Although unrecognized nations such as the Bloxmania Union and Free Bloxartica already existed at the time, Brown argued that a new state should be created. After a failed attempt to establish a micronation in Marie Byrd Land, he decided to relocate to Neotopia, where in 1992 he began popularizing his idea. Ultimately, in 2000, a meeting of polar explorers was convened in New Topia, proclaiming the creation of Neotopia. The country's name was taken from the cape and the town. A Legislative Council was officially established, and Tyler Brown became prime minister. In 2001, polar explorers from Hopetown announced the annexation of the town to Neotopia.
Unrecognized country
Neotopia, however, remained unrecognized, and Bloxstralia continued to consider these lands as claimed. Meanwhile, however, more and more polar explorers became interested in the idea of Neotopia. Polar explorers from Robloxia, Bloxanada, Bloxia Kingdom, Rogaulia, Bloxargentina, Bloxrazil, Neo-Japan, and the Telamon Islands began arriving. In 2003, Tyler Brown resigned as prime minister due to poor health. After several cabinet changes, a polar explorer from Bloxargentina, Jose Gonzalez, became the new prime minister. The new prime minister, along with another cabinet member, Uilama Kelapua, began organizing Neotopia's structures, establishing administrative divisions. The borders of Neotopia's cliams were also established, stretching from East Point to Johnville. In these areas, polar explorers expressed their desire to belong to Neotopia. In 2005, Hopetown was declared the official capital. Jose Gonzalez began promoting Neotopia internationally through the media. This led to Neotopia gaining some popularity. Soon, a massive influx of settlers to the coastal areas began. The new residents preferred to identify with Neotopia rather than with the Bloxstralia claims themselves, and the circle of supporters of the unrecognized nation grew. In 2017, Jose Gonzalez died of cancer. Edward Scott, from Blox Zealand, became the new prime minister. He held this position until 2019, when he was replaced by George Yellow from Bloxanada.
The way to independence
George Yellow quickly began working to spread Neotopia's popularity. He also signed alliance treaties with the Bloxmania Union and Free Bloxartica. Soon, the pandemic stranded many researchers on Bloxartica in 2020. This worked to Neotopia's advantage, as a significant number of them decided to join the nation. The Neotopian government contacted the Bloxstralian Polar Society, but the society refused to recognize it. Instead, the Telamon Islands Polar Society recognized the country. In 2024, Christopher Ruxon, president of Blox Zealand, proposed convening a conference to resolve the issue of Bloxartica's claims. This idea was embraced by supporters of Bloxartica's independence. In 2025, the conference was decided to be held in Massagaf. A Neotopian delegation, led by Prime Minister George Yellow, was allowed to attend. During the conference, he gained the support of the Telamon Islands and Bloxjiado. Ultimately, the Bloxstralian government decided to grant the country independence, provided it could conduct research within the country's territories. Consequently, Neotopia's independence was recognized by all signatories of the Treaty of Massagaf. The country automatically received observer status with the United Roblox Countries, which it soon joined. Furthermore, many countries began to recognize Neotopia, and the signatories of the treaty established embassies in the country.
2025 Bloxartic conflict
In mid-August 2025, the Rogaulian government proposed that the Bloxmania Union give it control of part of its lands. When the Bloxmania Union refused, Rogaulia declared war on the Bloxmania Union, sending soldiers there, which violated the treaties to which Rogaulia had signed. Attacks on Free Bloxartica territories also began. With the conflict escalating after Bloxjiado sided with the Bloxmania Union, Neotopia decided to send reinforcements. Military equipment, clothing, power generators, blood for wounded defenders, money, and other supplies were sent to the Bloxmania Union and Free Bloxartica. During this time, George Yellow attended a meeting with several world leaders, who condemned the Rogaulian attack. On August 22, an incident occurred on the Brown Coast, when Rogaulian military boats docked and displayed the Rogaulian flag. A volunteer group of Rogaulian and Bloxanadian polar explorers undertook the task of removing the flag. Military boats responded with warning fire but withdrew the same day. Neotopia continued to support the Bloxmania Union. Ultimately, after negotiations in Telamon City, the conflict was resolved. Rogaulia received a small portion of the Bloxmania Union and recognized all three countries on Bloxartica. Neotopia's stance during the conflict strengthened the country's relations with the rest of the local countries.
Further development
On January 1, 2026, the country's first president, Matthew Goodgame, took office.
Administrative divisions
The administrative division of Neotopia consists of twelve municipalities, four territories, and one capital territory. The government classifies the provinces into categories A (municipality), B (capital territory), and C (territory). These are all first-level administrative units. Second-level administrative units do not exist, although cities, towns and settlements could be considered as such.

Political system
Neotopia is a quasi-technocratic state with democratic standards. Legislative power is held by the Legislative Council, which is elected based on qualifications and dependent on the Electoral Commission. Executive power is held by the government and the president, appointed by the Legislative Council, while judicial power is held by independent courts. Prime Minister George Yellow has ordered the democratization of the system. One idea is to establish a bicameral parliament, with an upper house elected by qualifications and a lower house elected by the population. Theoretically, over 320,000 residents have the right to vote, constituting a significant majority.
