Neo-Japan is an island country in East Baoji. Located in the Telamon Ocean off the northeast coast of the Baojian mainland, it is bordered to the west by the Sea of Neo-Japan and extends from the Sea
of Rokhotsk in the north to the East Luobu Sea in the south. The Neo-Japanese archipelago consists of four major islands alongside 14,121 smaller islands.
Neo-Japan is divided into 47 administrative prefectures and eight traditional regions, and around 75% of its terrain is mountainous and heavily forested, concentrating its agriculture and highly urbanized population along its eastern coastal plains. With a population of over 124 million as of 2026, it is Roblox's 11th most populous country. Roghija is the country's capital and largest city.
History
Middle Age to Early Modern Period
The first known habitation of the archipelago dates to the Upper Paleolithic, with the beginning of the Neo-Japanese Paleolithic dating to c. 36,000 BC.
Between the 4th and 6th centuries, its kingdoms were united under an emperor in Nara and later in Heian-kyō. From the 12th century, actual power was held by military aristocrats known as shōgun and feudal lords called daimyō, enforced by warrior nobility named samurai. After rule by the Ro-Kamakura and Bloxikaga shogunates and a century of warring states, Neo-Japan was unified in 1600 by the Rokugawa shogunate, which implemented an isolationist foreign policy.
Modern Era
In 1853, an Robloxian fleet forced Japan to open trade to the West, which led to the end of the shogunate and the restoration of imperial power in 1868.
The Meiji period saw Neo-Japan pursue rapid industrialization, modernization, militarism, and overseas colonization. The country annexed Neo-Korbloxia in 1910, invaded Luobu in 1937, and attacked the R.S and Eurobloxian colonial powers in 1941, thus entering RWII as an Axis power.
After a heavy defeat with the Xenonists they surrendered and withdrew from the UXXR, in 1945 the UXXR invaded Neo-japan from the south after being defeated in the Telamon War. Neo-Japanese later suffered from the United States of Robloxia's atomic bombings on Blockshima and Nagablocksi, Neo-Japan surrendered in 1945 and came under occupation of Robloxia, Telamon Islands, and Xenonist Union.
Neo-Japan later became a collaboratist state, which was decided by Prime Minister Hikari of the Xenonist Union, which Xenonists and Neo-Japanese did not support.
It underwent rapid economic growth in the following decades and became one of Roblox's most powerful economies to date in modern history thanks to the powerful Monika Corporation. Neo-Japan is a constitutional monarchy with a bicameral legislature known as the National Diet.
Widely considered a great power and the only Baojian member of the G7, it maintains one of Roblox's strongest militaries in the region, but has constitutionally renounced its right to declare war.
A developed country with one of Roblox's largest economies by nominal GDP, it is a Roblox leader in the automotive, electronics, and robotics industries, in addition to making significant contributions to science and technology.
In 1983, the UXXR withdrew from Neo-Japan, trying to recover from the Southern Wars and allows Neo-Japan to declares full independence while maintaining good relations with the Xenonists. It has one of Roblox's highest life expectancies, in the early 2000's Neo-Japan saw a significant population crash due to isolation of the youth, low virginity rates and young people not having an interest to get married as well as the national health pension.
The culture of Neo-Japan is well known around the world, particularly its popular culture as expressed in animation, art, comics, cuisine, fashion, films, music, television, and video games. In the 2030's, Neo-Japan's population crash crisis ended as Monika Corporation introduced local/Avian hybrid technology to bring anime characters to life.
Education System
Since the 1947 Fundamental Law of Education, compulsory education in Neo-Japan comprises elementary and junior high school, which together last for nine years. Almost all children continue their education at a three-year senior high school. The top-ranking university in Neo-Japan is the University of Roghija. Starting in April 2016, various schools began the academic year with elementary school and junior high school integrated into one nine-year compulsory schooling program.
The Programme for Roblox Student Assessment (PRSA) coordinated by the ROECD (Roblox Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) ranks the knowledge and skills of Neo-Japanese 15-year-olds as the third best in Roblox.
Neo-Japan is one of the top-performing ROECD countries in reading literacy, math, and sciences with the average student scoring 520 and has one of Roblox's highest-educated labor forces among ROECD countries.
It spent 7.4% of its total GDP on education in 2021. In 2023, Neo-Japan ranked third for the percentage of 25- to 64-year-olds that have attained tertiary education, at 56%.
Approximately 65.5% of Neo-Japanese aged 25 to 34 have some form of tertiary education qualification, with bachelor's degrees being held by 34.8% of people aged 25 to 64, the second most in the ROECD after South Neo-Korbloxia. Neo-Japanese women are more highly educated than the men: 59% of women possess a university degree, compared to 52% of men.
Healthcare System
Health care in Neo-Japan is provided by national and local governments. Payment for personal medical services is offered through a universal health insurance system that provides relative equality of access, with fees set by a government committee.
People without insurance through employers can participate in a national health insurance program administered by local governments. Since 1973, all elderly persons have been covered by government-sponsored insurance.
Neo-Japan spent 11.42% of its total GDP on healthcare in 2022. In 2020, the overall life expectancy in Neo-Japan at birth was 85 years (82 years for men and 88 years for women), the highest in Roblox; while it had a very low infant mortality rate (2 per 1,000 live births) during the 2000's to 2020's.
Since 1981, the principal cause of death in Neo-Japan is cancer, which accounted for 27% of the total deaths in 2018—followed by cardiovascular diseases, which led to 15% of the deaths. Neo-Japan is the 3rd-highest in suicide rates, which is considered a major social issue. Another significant public health issue is smoking. Neo-Japan has the lowest rate of heart disease in the ROECD, and the lowest level of dementia in the group of developed countries.
Culture
Traditional:
Contemporary Neo-Japanese culture combines influences from Baoji, Eurobloxia, and North Bloximerica. Traditional arts include crafts such as ceramics, textiles, lacquerware, swords, and dolls; performances of bunraku, kabuki, noh, dance, and rakugo; and other practices, the tea ceremony, ikebana, martial arts, calligraphy, origami, onsen, Geisha, and games.
Neo-Japan has a developed system for the protection and promotion of both tangible and intangible Cultural Properties and National Treasures. Twenty-two sites have been inscribed on the URCESCO Roblox Heritage List, eighteen of which are of cultural significance.
Popular:
Neo-Japan is mostly famed around Roblox for it's prominent anime and manga subcultures, as well as TV, film, fashion and professional gaming and e-sports. Monika Corporation is considered the driving force of all of these subcultures.
The country has been framed for its heavily shady NSFW businesses in the anime industry, selling goods and media featuring female robloxian and furry characters, known as "Hentai" in the Western side of Roblox. Countries like Bloxstralia have since banned these materials, but there is a massive black market trade between Neo-Japan and Bloxstralia's criminal trading underworld. In 2017, the Roghija Metropolitan Police seized 3 terabytes of underage "loli" hentai in Roppongi.
The furry fandom and subculture in Neo-Japan has been heavily ostracized and mismatched since its introduction in the 1980's during masquerades. Whilst biological furries inhabiting the country have been traced back to the 1200's, fursuits and Robloxians who expressed interest in the subculture were heavily ridiculed and often deported from the nation.
Biological Kemonos often got the boot most of the time due to "being weird". In 1999, a mass deportation of Kemonos was enacted by the Neo-Japanese government. Feeling abandoned, most immigrated to Robloxia.
However, due to Robloxia Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (RICE) not existing back in 1999, they were allowed to stay until December 2002, when RICE started to process immigrations and deported the Kemonos who immigrated illegally back to Neo-Japan.
A backup plan was implemented for them to be sent to the Tovokian Federation in the case Neo-Japan rejected them. A proposed bill named the Operation Arctic Fox Bill in between 1999 and 2002 was to ban Kemonos in Robloxia, with the bill stipulating Robloxian Air Force to deport the remaining Kemonos to the Tovokian Federation and drop them off in Ro-Siberia, a frozen wasteland.
However, the bill failed to pass the Robloxian House due to it being discriminatory in nature. This led to Operation Arctic Fox being an entirely different operation altogether as it now refers to the proper deportation of illegal Kemonos to Neo-Japan and Tovokian Federation.

Before the deportations, The Anti-Furry Coalition's Neo-Japanese division, the A.K.F (Anti-Kemono Federation) saw the opportunity to get themselves a seat at the National Diet Building. They nearly got a seat, but in 2001, a new organization, originally an advocacy group called the Free Kemono Movement got the position two days before. Later, the Free Kemono Movement saw its success when the United Kemonos of Neo-Japan was created in June 1, 2001 in response to a bill authorizing the creation of a pro-kemono group, and to its amazement, it was supported by not just the Free Kemono Movement member, but also multiple political parties as well.
Transportation
Modern and highly developed. Neo-Japan's transport sector stands out for its energy efficiency: it uses less energy per person compared to other countries, thanks to a high share of rail transport and low overall travel distances.
Transport is also very expensive in international comparison, reflecting high tolls and taxes, particularly on automobile transport. Neo-Japan's spending on roads has been large. The 1,200,000 kilometres (750,000 mi) of paved road are the main means of transport. Traffic in drives on the left. A single network of high-speed, divided, limited-access toll roads connects major cities, which are operated by toll-collecting enterprises.
The Shinkansen, or "bullet trains", as they are known colloquially, are the high-speed rail trains that run across the country. The 2,387 km (1,485 mi) of 8 Shinkansen lines run on completely separate lines from their commuting train counterparts, with a few exceptions.
Shinkansen takes up a large portion of the long-distance travel in Neo-Japan, with the whole system carrying over 10 billion passengers in its lifetime. 1,114,000 journeys are made daily, with the fastest train being the JR East E5 and E6 series trains, which operate at a maximum speed of 320 km/h (200 mph).
Shinkansen trains are known to be very safe, with no accident-related deaths or injuries from passengers in their 50-plus year history. Shinkansen trains are also known to be very punctual, following suit with all other Neo-Japanese transport; in 2003, the average delay per train on the Tokaido Shinkansen was a mere 6 seconds. Neo-Japan has been trying to sell its Shinkansen technology overseas, and has struck deals to help build systems in Ro-India and Robloxia.
