Massagaf is the capital and the second largest city of Bloxjiado. It is located in, and is the seat of the the Federal Capital Region. It was built between 1973 and 1978, as a master-planned city to replace Bloxjiado's old capital at Rushilox. History

Prior to the Federal Capital District

The city of Massagaf (originally called Masgaf) was established in 1869, and originally had a population of 900. It grew quickly in the 1920s and 1930s, reaching a population of 100,500 in 1928., and 500,000 by 1936, despite the Great Roblox Depression. In 1985, the city was made the capital of Bloxjiado in independence. It was a part of the Northern Bloxjiado County. (work in progress, more soon).

Geography

The city covers an area of 466 square kilometers (180 square miles) and is bordered by the municipalities of Santoro (Southeast) and Harlingjiado *aka Mespan Town* (southwest) and the border with Northern Bloxjiado Department to the west and northwest, Hajiquki City to the east, Umek City to the northwest, and Aunksu to the south and southwest.

Administrative Divisions

This is an excerpt from Federal Capital Region (Massagaf)

Because the municipalities in the Federal Capital Region are all considered third-tier municipalities, meaning that they amount to self-sufficient district (except Massagaf city proper, which is a special muncipality), the surrounding cities and towns are considered consolidated districts of the Federal Capital District. The city of Massagaf itself is divided up into 8 zones and 27 subprefectures.

Government and Politics

The city has a 120 member city council which meets on a 3 times a week basis at the Massagaf City Hall's West Wing. Each councilman or councilwoman represents one of the 32 electoral districts (many of them are based off the 1910 geography of some of the subprefectures), and serves on a 3-year basis with no term restrictions.

Nickname (The City of Disgraceful Development)

Massagaf is nicknamed the city of Disgraceful Development as it is not good. Although Massagaf’s development is rated between above average and good, which makes the city rated as Moderately Good, healthcare and education is less in Massagaf. Most schools are online-only schools. There are some hospitals in Massagaf, which makes them really busy. The neighboring town of Santoro had no direct access to the city until Motorway M-1 connected Santoro to Massagaf. The Bloxjis are pressuring the government to make Rushilox the capital city. Despite Rushilox not being the capital, Rushilox is the main emergency capital for Bloxjiado. The Voldex Party Backup shut off subway and train service to Massagaf in 2014, which made air travel profitable but more hectic. A lot of houses were demolished, but some houses remain. 98% of Massagaf’s population lives in apartments. The development is being improved.
