Baine, also known as the Pine Tree State, is a compact wooded state situated in the New Bloxland region of Robloxia. As of 2024, its population stands at 6,674,651. The capital city, Bluesand City, is the second largest in Baine and is positioned along the coast, approximately one hundred miles north of the Baine-Bloxassachusetts border. The largest city remains Diamond City, located near the capital along the coast.
In 1292, explorers from the Dush Empire landed in Baine, naming the land and setting up villages. Later, in the 1500s, the Dush transferred ownership of the land to the Robloxian Empire, along with the other Carl Territories. This territory was eventually divided into Bloxassachusetts and Baine. For a considerable period, the region remained a tranquil and sparsely populated area, characterized by its extensive forests and mountainous terrain. However, this situation transformed in the late 1800s due to a surge in immigration. Over nearly two decades, Baine gradually welcomed millions of new residents before the trend shifted towards New Bloxia and Central Robloxia. Today, Baine is recognized as a picturesque northern state, renowned for its numerous beaches, earning it the additional title of Vacationland.
At present, the political landscape of the state is predominantly aligned with left-wing candidates. The governor, Susan Mills, a member of the Robloxian Reform Party, has held her position since 2018. The state's senators include Mark Taylor-Robinson, a Conservative, and Junior Calloway, an Independent, who have been in office since 2005 and 2015, respectively. Additionally, there are nine representatives: Jaxon Curtis (Reformist), Ruth Springsteen (Reformist), Luisa Kowal (Corporatist), Bryan Conners (Conservative), Sherryl Campbell (Corporatist), Daniel McAllister Sr. (Conservative), Alex Haynes (Reformist), VJ Jacobs (Reformist), and Arianna Burlington (Reformist).
Etymology
The term "Baine" is derived from the Dusch word "berg," meaning mountain. The suffix "aine" is believed to be linked to the ancient tribe known as the Meyne, who were the first and sole tribe in Baine that provided guidance to the Dush across their territory. Upon colonizing the region, the Dush named the state in honor of both the mountains and the Meyne tribe, resulting in the combined name Beyne, which later evolved into Baine.
History
Ancient Times (16500 BC-1290 AD)
Indigenous Era
The indigenous robloxians from Baoji are believed to have arrived in the northern regions of Bloxmerica approximately 16,700 years ago. Archaeological evidence indicates that the earliest tribe recorded in Baine was the Amutekh (æm'u:'tek), who inhabited the area from around 6000 BC to 100 BC. They established several villages along the shores of Bloxoston Bay, with an estimated population of 400 individuals. The Amutekh constructed longhouses, which could accommodate 10 to 15 inhabitants at a time. Archaeologists suggest that their subsistence activities included hunting moose, fishing, and capturing wild birds, as well as gathering fruits and growing various vegetables.
Around 4500 BC, it is believed that a segment of the Amutekh separated and journeyed over the mountains to the Bloxanada Bay. They established a campsite in that location and remained undetected for nearly 3,300 years. This tribe subsequently came to be known as the Broc-Acurar (brɒk æˈkʊɹɑɹ). Archaeologists propose that the two tribes were linked by their comparable agricultural methods and hunting techniques.
In 1200 BC, the Ocheewanii (oʊˈkiːwəˌniː) tribe from New Bloxia emerged victorious in their conquest of the region, resulting in the subjugation of the Broc-Acurar tribe and the establishment of the city of Acur. Additionally, they defeated the Amutekh tribe, thereby designating their territory as the city of Amuto. The Ocheewanii tribe subsequently acquired the Carl Territories, along with a segment of Central Robloxia, creating the Ochewan Region.
In the year 1100 BC, the influential northern tribes of Teraktan (tɛɹˈɑk.tæn), Rotawk (ɹoʊˈtɔk), Ocheewanii, and Natsu (næt.su) established a treaty that led to the formation of a significant empire called Tronia. All participating tribes embraced the collective identity of Tronians. They collaborated to bolster their defenses, improve agricultural and hunting practices, facilitate trade across the region, and develop major transportation routes connecting cities. This alliance marked them as the most advanced indigenous peoples in the history of the Bloxmericas.
Domination Era
For a millennium, the Tronians thrived in peace and prosperity. They enjoyed access to all three of the Great Lakes, which provided them with essential resources and trade pathways. However, in 100 BC, a formidable empire known as the Inoguise launched an assault on the Tronian populace, seizing the Ochewan city of Laes. This conquest also included one of their most crucial trade routes. In retaliation, the Tronians dispatched akkis (soldiers) to engage in a protracted conflict lasting two decades. The northern region of Tronia, including Baine, did not participate in the war; the primary involvement came from Natsu, Rotawk, and southern Ocheewanii.

By 80 BC, the Tronians had successfully vanquished the Inoguise, resulting in the fragmentation of their vast empire into several notable tribes, including the Inarks and Boardians. Nevertheless, many aristocrats perceived the situation as hypocritical, as a large empire that had previously subjugated other tribes to expand its dominion was now itself divided. By 70 BC, the Tronians had rescinded their treaty, leading the four empires to liberate the previously conquered tribes by restoring their lands. However, given that over a millennium had passed since the tribes had last experienced autonomy, the chiefs were uncertain about the rightful ownership of the lands. Consequently, they distributed the territories among various tribes, inadvertently causing a mix-up in the allocations.
By the conclusion of the Tronian Age, the tribes inhabiting Baine comprised the Meyne from the east and the Broc-Amutekh from the north. Subsequent investigations revealed that the Meyne were a blend of Broc-Acurar, Amutekh, Natsunian, and Treblen (a tribe from Robloxonnecticut) indigenous robloxians. In contrast, the Broc-Amutekh was solely composed of Amutekh, Broc-Acurar, and Treblen natives. Both tribes thrived with their abundant resources and advanced tools for an additional millennium until the year 1292.
Colonization (1290-1292)
Colonizing of the Carl Territories
On November 28, 1290, sailors Erik Cassel I, Maximus Mormutball Sr., Walter Henry I, and their crew from Ro Britain embarked on an expedition to discover land suitable for agriculture and settlement. They arrived in Saylorville, North Bloxlina, on March 22, where they established a camp. During their month-long stay, they conducted land surveys and encountered local inhabitants. Convinced of the land's fertile soil and tranquil environment, they returned to King George II.
The king was informed about the vast and prosperous land, prompting him to dispatch nearly 600 men for its colonization. However, news of this expedition and the subsequent discovery quickly spread throughout Eurobloxia. Nations such as the Dush Empire, Ro Spain, and Rogaulia began to formulate their own plans to establish colonies in the region. The Dush Empire was the first to act, sending seven ships and 347 men in July of 1291. They arrived in what is now known as Bloxoston, Bloxassachusetts, on October 3, 1291. The Dush swiftly established their presence, ultimately expanding their settlements throughout the northeastern part of Robloxia by June of 1292.
During the era of colonization, a contingent of Dush Explorers, under the command of Hendrik van der Berg and commissioned by the king, was assigned to survey and establish a settlement in the northern region of the territory. They arrived in what is now known as Diamond City, where they encountered the Meyne tribe. Initially, the tribe exhibited timidity and a strong sense of territoriality, as documented in van der Berg's journal. Nevertheless, after approximately a month, the tribe began to extend a warm welcome to the Dush Explorers.
They presented their cities and pathways, which ascended to the peaks of the mountains that divide the southeast from the northwest. According to the journal, the Meyne referred to their pathways as "itervenes." Their principal city was Blurenae, located a few miles south of present-day Bluesand City. However, Hendrik observed a striking resemblance between the language of the Meyne and a language from Eurobloxia. He noted that their language appeared to share significant similarities with Ancient Robloxian.
Hendrik possessed proficiency in Robloxian as a second language, which enabled him to comprehend the majority of the conversations among the Meyne. Eventually, the crew had the opportunity to meet Chief T'Ajka, who graciously welcomed them to the land and offered accommodations. Hendrik accepted this hospitality, and his crew resided in several longhouses until April. However, as winter approached, the men faced a food shortage, while the Meyne prepared only sufficient provisions for themselves. Fortunately, the Meyne took the initiative to instruct them in the cultivation of vegetables and fruits. Despite the limited time available, the Dush managed to grow their own food. Nevertheless, due to the ongoing dry season, the Meyne had to resort to an alternative water source. They demonstrated to the Dush how to construct aqueducts. Hendrik and his crew quickly grasped the concept and successfully built over 30 aqueducts connecting Bloxoston Bay to their settlement. By the time December arrived, bringing snow and winter, the Dush were well-equipped with an ample supply of food and water.
In April of 1292, the Dush emerged from their longhouses to welcome the spring season. For a duration of one month, they collaborated and cohabited with the Meyne. The Dush imparted their knowledge of combat strategies, as well as information regarding currency, transportation routes, and carriages. In return, the Meyne familiarized them with the local terrain and the wildlife to be cautious of. One fateful day in mid-May, while atop the mountains, a member of the Broc-Amutekh tribe shot an arrow that struck and killed Diederik Daalmans. Upon hearing this news, Hendrik declared war. T'Ajka cautioned against crossing into the mountains, emphasizing that it was the territory of the Broc-Amutekh. Instead, T'Ajka proposed a dignified burial for Diederik. However, Hendrik perceived this as an act of betrayal and subsequently killed T'Ajka. This incident ultimately forged a strong rivalry between the Meyne and the Dush, resulting in a full-scale war.
Conquests of Baine

On May 25, the Meyne set fire to a significant number of longhouses, forcing the Dush to seek shelter together at night. In response, Hendrik orchestrated a successful assault on the family of the former chief, aided by his companions. The two groups clashed again on May 25, resulting in a direct confrontation. Initially, the Meyne appeared to have the upper hand, claiming the lives of 12 men. However, the Dush, equipped with superior firearms and artillery, soon turned the tide, ultimately resulting in the deaths of over 100 natives. The decisive battle occurred on May 28, during which the Dush eliminated an additional 200 natives, leaving approximately 40 robloxians remaining. Despite their defeat, the Meyne regarded this encounter as their most successful, having killed 102 men and leaving 152 still available for the upcoming conflict against the Broc-Amutekhs.
On June 2, the Dush traversed the mountains, entering the territory of Broc-Amutekh. By the evening of June 4, they arrived in the central city known as Kirabi. However, they encountered a barrage of arrows and various traps. The Broc-Amutekh had anticipated their arrival and employed numerous stone-made spears and daggers to eliminate the Dush soldiers and dismantle their weaponry. Hendrik's initial assault was disastrous, resulting in the loss of 82 men. Another defeat of that magnitude was unacceptable, as it would likely lead to their annihilation. For the following week, Hendrik's forces engaged in relentless preparations. On June 10, they initiated a second offensive, successfully capturing Chief Aluko'Likuanni (ɑˈluːkoʊ ˈlɪkwɑːni) while also inflicting casualties on 104 enemy combatants. The subsequent day, the Broc-Amutekh launched a counteroffensive, claiming the lives of 6 Dush soldiers before Hendrik transported the chief to Meyne land. There, the Broc-Amutekh pursued them and fell victim to an ambush of gunfire, resulting in the deaths of an additional 218 natives. Ultimately, Aluko'Likuanni capitulated and ceded the territory to the Dush. Nevertheless, Hendrik shot him, declaring, "Do not threaten my men or me." By the end of their war, the Dush only had 64 men remaining.
On June 16, Hendrik received a correspondence indicating that the explorers Duuk Beenhouwer (Robloxonnecticut), Robert Lange (Roseland and Rosylvania), Maximiliaan Stoepker (Baastricht and Bloxware), and Julius Windt (New België) had successfully colonized their designated sections of the Carl Territories. They were now awaiting Hendrik's arrival to claim his land, which still required the acquisition of Romont and New Rampshire. The expedition commenced on June 15, and by June 29, they had successfully conquered the territories after a long and deadly journey, subsequently naming them Romont and New Rampshire. Hendrik experienced a twinge of regret when he chose the name for Baine. In acknowledgment of this sentiment, he designated the capital of Baine as Bluesand City, named after Blurenae, and referred to the state as Beyne, which translates to "bergen of Meyne" or "mountains of Meyne" in English. By the time new settlers from the Dush Empire arrived, Hendrik had relocated to Romont, where he spent the remainder of his life.
Colonial Ages (1292-1500)
Colonial Times
In July, a formal trade agreement was established between the Dush Empire and the Carl Territories, known as the Noordelijke Handel, or Northern Trade in English. Under this arrangement, the Dush Empire exported various goods, including firearms, textiles, copper, iron, wine, and jewelry. In return, the Carl Territories supplied the Dush with agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, meats, and timber. This trade route significantly improved travel efficiency from Eurobloxia to the Carl Territories, reducing the journey time from the usual three months to a mere six weeks. However, the operation was quite expensive, with approximately ten ships dispatched every six weeks for the Noordelijke Handel, incurring costs of around ƒ2.5 million. In contemporary terms, this amount equates to approximately ⏣416.6 billion ($500 million). The trade route remained active for 142 years before its conclusion. By the year 1434, when the trade ceased, the Dush Empire had expended over ƒ3.08 billion, which translates to roughly ⏣514.1 trillion ($617.02 billion) in total.
The Noordelijke Handel led to the establishment of numerous jobs and enterprises. In 1302, the Northern Falls Northern Trade Company, known as NFNTC (Dutch: Noordelijk Watervallen Noordelijke Handel Bedrijf, NWNHB), was founded, creating more than 4,000 employment opportunities. Nevertheless, the most renowned and prosperous entity was the Diamond City Trade Co., referred to as DCT (Dutch: Diamant Stad Handel Bedrijf, DSH). This company served as the principal importing hub in the Carl Territories from 1310 until 1412, when the New België Trade Station commenced operations, generating over 10,000 jobs and becoming the largest import/export port globally. A cruise line known as the Beyne-Dush Line was founded in 1424, with its operations based in Diamond City. As a result, the population of Diamond City experienced an annual increase, reaching 8,000 residents every year until 1435.
Ro Spanish-Dush War
The map of Eurobloxia during the Ro Spanish-Dush War of 1434.
In the year 1430, hostilities between the Dush Empire and Ro Spain escalated significantly. This period was marked by numerous homicides, territorial disputes, and skirmishes that persisted for over a century. On December 21, 1434, Ro Spain officially declared war on the Dush Empire. This declaration posed a significant challenge for the Dush, who were already burdened by debt resulting from the Noordelijke Handel. They faced difficulties in acquiring the necessary arms, including swords, firearms, shields, and armor. Nevertheless, the Dush Empire possessed a surplus of timber and steel sourced from the Carl Territories, which they utilized to construct hundreds of fortifications throughout their lands. Despite these efforts, they still required weaponry. Ultimately, on February 4, 1435, the Dush Empire opted to sell the territories of Baastricht (Romaryland), Bloxware, Roseland (New Rosey), Robloxonnecticut (Robloxonnecticut and Bhlode Island), and New België (New Bloxia) to the Robloxian Empire for ⏣4 million, or ⏣120 million ($144,000) in today's money.
Between the years 1435 and 1500, the activities of manufacturers, companies, and visitors in Baine experienced a significant decline. The Noordelijke Handel came to a halt in 1435 as a result of the war, which also affected the NFNTC, DCT, and the New België Trade Station. The Beyne-Dush Line saw a drastic reduction in traffic, accommodating only approximately 100 to 250 robloxians annually. Around the year 1450, numerous inhabitants from the recently acquired New Bloxland region migrated to Baine. This migration was the sole contributor to the population growth of Baine throughout the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.
The years in question appeared to signal a decline for the remaining regions of the Carl Territories. Employment opportunities dwindled, and both the citizenry and legal structures were severely compromised. Between 1450 and 1490, Baine, Romont, and New Rampshire earned the notorious designation of the "Colonies of Crime." During this period, there were over 100,000 reported incidents of murder, robbery, and arson, despite Baine's population being only 2,012,483. This statistic indicated that nearly 5% of Baine's populace was implicated in at least one criminal act, equating to 1 in every 20 individuals being involved in criminal activity.
On March 15, 1500, 65 years after the onset of the war, the Dush Empire was compelled to cede the remaining portions of the Carl Territories to the Robloxian Empire as a desperate measure to secure victory in the protracted conflict.
A New Country (1500-1785)
Selling of Baine
As a newly established state within the Robloxian Empire, the inhabitants of Baine experienced significant transformations that distinguished it markedly from the Dush. In 1503, the population surged to 3,134,789. Carriages began to traverse the roads, which were essentially the ancient pathways originating from the Meyne. Numerous ports, shops, and towns emerged rapidly, with Bloxangor, founded in 1609, becoming the most prominent, drawing in over 500,000 residents. Existing towns such as Bluesand City, Diamond City, and Northern Falls were upgraded with proper housing, law enforcement, and appointed mayors. The name Beyne was even anglicized to Baine. The comprehensive Reconstruction Act was implemented from 1500 to 1544.
In 1544, in Ro Britain, the rise of communism was attributed to the colonization of numerous overseas territories. Following the assassination of King George VII, a viceroy named Korblox I ascended to the throne. He renamed the territory Bloxland and proceeded to conquer the adjacent nations of Whale, Roscotland, and Northern Bloxia Island. His ambition was to establish the most formidable empire the world had ever witnessed, with the initial objective of seizing the Robloxian Empire. Korblox dedicated the remainder of 1544 and the early months of 1545 to strengthening his military forces. By June 1545, he had assembled the largest militia of the 16th century, comprising over 120,000 soldiers. He dispatched 30,000 of these troops aboard ships to Ro Fiji, one of the islands he had previously captured. From there, they were sent to Bloxburg, a prominent city within the empire at that time. However, Bloxburg was embroiled in an economic civil war, rendering it a vulnerable target for conquest. Within two days, Bloxburg was officially designated as the Viceroyalty of New Bloxburg.
On July 9, 1545, Korblox dispatched his minutemen to seize control of the neighboring territories. They successfully captured North and South Bloxifornia, as well as Bloxington Island. By August, the Korbloxians, also referred to as Bloxland, had expanded their dominion to encompass four states. In contrast, the Robloxian Empire boasted a total of twenty-two states. On August 20, additional troops arrived, leading to the acquisition of territories that had not previously existed, such as Roregon, Kionne Republic, and Bloxorado, along with the purchase of Bloxtana from the Rogaulians. Despite these developments, Robloxia continued to underestimate the threat posed by the Korbloxians. On November 1, 1583, Korblox I passed away due to natural causes and was succeeded by his son, Korblox II.
Baine maintained a tranquil condition during the 17th century. The Beyne-Dush Line, which was subsequently altered to the Baine-Dush Line, ceased operations in 1550 following the defeat of the Dush in their conflict against the Ro Spanish, aided by the Holy Roman Empire and the Rogaulians. Subsequently, the Baine-Dush Line was repurposed as one of the stations for the Robloxia-Eurobloxia Line, a new cruise route that was established in 1876. There was minimal activity in Baine until the 1800s.
Revolutionary War
In 1768, E.T. Cassel assumed the presidency. A few years into his term, he revived an ancient military tactic known as encirclement, inspired by the planned conclusion of the Bloody Bloxas event. With his strong support and deep commitment to the military, E.T. successfully implemented this strategy. As a result, they managed to blockade the Gulf of Bloxico, seize control of Bloxas, and encircle both the southern states and the Korbloxian army. Consequently, the Robloxian Empire expanded to include seven southern states. They then aimed to encircle the central region of the Bloxland states, but this maneuver led them into the onset of war. The Revolutionary War commenced on March 22, 1775. After enduring 27,000 casualties and years of conflict, the war concluded with a Robloxian victory on June 30, 1783.
Following the conclusion of the Revolutionary War in 1785, E.T. Cassel, Thomas Joffrey, John Hansock, and fifty-two additional delegates played a pivotal role in the formation of the Constitution. Among these delegates was Matthew Anderson, who served as the mayor of Bluesand City, and Ryan Tracker, the mayor of Diamond City. This development significantly transformed the nation in various aspects.
Monroe Era (1785-1865)
The Monroe Era persisted following the ratification of the Constitution. In 1789, after E.T. Cassel was elected as the first president, the nation, now referred to as Robloxia, revised its regulations concerning states. Each town and city would elect a mayor, and a number of representatives would be appointed based on the population, alongside two senators elected for each state. Both senators and representatives would serve in Congress. Additionally, a governor would be elected to lead the state government. In 1789, Elijah Baron and Chris North were chosen as senators. With a population of 3,337,186, four representatives were elected: Max Alba, Anastacio Bonnay, Justus Wyatt, and Troy Turnbull. The elected governor was Vito Millard. Approximately 127 mayors were recorded; however, the majority of their documents have been lost, resulting in the identification of no more than 50 individuals.
From 1785 to 1835, Baine experienced significant decline, emerging as a destitute state. Being relatively new to Robloxia and grappling with the aftermath of war, the region faced severe financial constraints. Compounding these challenges, Robloxia was embroiled in the Battle of Angelox, leading to widespread issues such as disease, hunger, thirst, and homelessness. A survey conducted in 1808 revealed that 28% of the citizens of Bluesand City were without shelter. Those elected to govern lacked the necessary knowledge and experience to address the pressing issues. By the early 1830s, Baine had transformed into a gilded state, characterized by an outward appearance of prosperity while concealing underlying poverty, filth, and coldness. Although Baine was often referred to as a "place of incredible nature," the reality was one of significant hardship and illness.
In November 1835, significant changes occurred with the 5th senatorial election, the 10th representative election, and the 25th mayoral election taking place. Among those elected was Joel Monroe, who would emerge as a pivotal and inspirational figure in the history of Baine. Monroe was one of the few individuals who recognized the issues plaguing the state. During his campaign, he pledged to improve the cleanliness of the streets, reduce poverty levels, and ensure an abundance of food. He successfully fulfilled all of his commitments.
Monroe's Campaign
Joel Monroe was an individual who spent his formative years in Bluesand City. At the tender age of eight, he experienced the loss of his father. Subsequently, he was raised in a financially struggling household. His mother passed away when he was fifteen, and by the age of sixteen, he found himself living on the streets. Nevertheless, he managed to turn his life around by marrying Ana Shupner, a woman hailing from a wealthy family. At the age of twenty, he entered the political arena and graduated from Routica College at the age of twenty-four in 1822, a time when the state of Baine was grappling with the aftermath of the Battle of Angelox and the War of Independence. In 1833, eleven years post-graduation, he commenced his campaign, driven by a desire to advocate for the citizens of Baine and to oppose the excesses of wealth.
Joel Monroe's campaign poster from 1835 prominently features his renowned slogan, Better Stage; Better State.
Running on a platform of modernization, economic growth, and community unity, Monroe captured the hopes of Bluesand’s poor population. His campaign slogan, “Better Stage; Better State,” resonated deeply with citizens eager to see their city thrive.
In November 1835, elections were held featuring three candidates: Joel Monroe of the Reform-Conservative Party, Samuel Warrick of the Robloxian Reform Party, and Harriet Linwood of the Independent Party. Despite the intense competition, Monroe emerged victorious, securing 53% of the votes in Bluesand City, which amounted to 569,164 out of a total population of 1,073,894 Robloxians residing in Bluesand at that time.
Monroe's Mayoralty
Monroe’s first term, spanning from 1835 to 1837, was characterized by ambitious projects that set the foundation for Bluesand City’s future. Among his earliest achievements was the establishment of the city’s first public school system. The Education for All Act, passed in 1836, allocated funds for three schools and mandated elementary education for children between the ages of six and twelve. This bold initiative was lauded as a progressive step forward, though it met resistance from some rural residents who felt the city’s resources were being disproportionately allocated to urban areas.
Infrastructure development was another cornerstone of Monroe’s administration. Recognizing the importance of connectivity and public health, he spearheaded efforts to pave major trade routes and expand the city’s aqueduct system. By 1837, over fifteen miles of roads had been paved, facilitating commerce and reducing travel times. The completion of a modern aqueduct brought clean water to more than 10,000 residents, significantly improving living conditions and reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases. These achievements earned Monroe widespread praise but also drew criticism from fiscal conservatives who were wary of the high costs associated with such rapid development.
Economically, Monroe sought to position Bluesand City as a hub of commerce and trade. He introduced policies to reduce tariffs on goods entering the city, incentivizing merchants and entrepreneurs to set up businesses. The result was a near doubling of active businesses by the end of his first term, fostering economic dynamism and creating new job opportunities. However, this economic expansion was not without its challenges. The influx of settlers and businesses strained the city’s limited resources, leading to occasional disputes between established landowners and new arrivals.
Community engagement was another hallmark of Monroe’s leadership. In 1836, he organized the first Bluesand Civic Fair, an event designed to bring citizens together and celebrate the city’s progress. The fair featured local artisans, musical performances, and speeches, becoming an annual tradition that symbolized the unity and optimism of the early Bluesand community. Yet, not all of Monroe’s efforts were met with universal acclaim. His administration faced growing tensions with rural landowners, who felt underrepresented in city governance, and a temporary budget deficit sparked debates about the sustainability of his ambitious projects.
Despite these challenges, Monroe’s popularity remained high as the 1837 election approached. His administration’s achievements in education, infrastructure, and economic growth had solidified his reputation as a transformative leader. Running for re-election, he emphasized his record of accomplishments and outlined plans for further modernization, including the construction of bridges, the establishment of a municipal police force, and the creation of a public library. His decisive victory in the 1837 election, securing 68% of the vote, affirmed the confidence Bluesand’s citizens had in his leadership.
Joel Monroe’s second term as mayor of Bluesand City, beginning in 1837, was marked by an era of expansion and innovation. The city’s population had nearly doubled since its incorporation just three years earlier, driven by its reputation as a hub of opportunity and progress. Monroe’s re-election campaign had promised to tackle the challenges of rapid growth, and he wasted no time delivering on that promise.
One of Monroe’s most ambitious undertakings during his second term was the expansion of Bluesand City’s boundaries. In 1838, with the approval of the city council, the incorporation of surrounding land effectively doubled the city’s size, accommodating the influx of new settlers. Monroe oversaw the establishment of new residential districts, carefully planned to ensure access to public services such as schools, markets, and transportation. The city’s zoning plan, one of the first of its kind in the region, reflected Monroe’s forward-thinking approach to urban development. These efforts not only provided homes for thousands of new residents but also spurred economic activity, as construction firms, merchants, and tradespeople thrived.
The city’s infrastructure also saw significant improvements under Monroe’s leadership. Aware of the growing strain on public services, he prioritized the expansion of sanitation and waste management systems. In 1838, Monroe championed the creation of the Bluesand Public Works Department, tasked with overseeing street cleaning, waste collection, and drainage maintenance. This initiative transformed the city’s cleanliness, reducing the spread of disease and enhancing the quality of life for its residents. The introduction of public cleaning crews, who operated daily across all districts, earned Monroe the nickname “The People’s Mayor” for his dedication to improving everyday life in Bluesand.
Monroe also launched a campaign to beautify the city, planting over 5,000 trees along streets and in public squares. The creation of Unity Park in the heart of Bluesand became a centerpiece of this effort, providing citizens with a communal space for relaxation and recreation. The park’s inauguration in 1839 was celebrated with a grand festival, further cementing Monroe’s popularity among the city’s growing population.
As the end of Monroe’s second term approached, Bluesand City had transformed into a vibrant and well-organized urban center. The population boom had been met with effective planning, and the city’s enhanced cleanliness and infrastructure set it apart from neighboring settlements. Monroe’s leadership during this period earned him widespread acclaim, and citizens began to see him not just as a local leader but as a figure capable of representing their interests on a larger stage.
By 1839, there was a strong movement among Bluesand’s residents urging Monroe to run for a representative position in the upcoming election. Town hall meetings and newspaper editorials praised his vision, work ethic, and ability to unite diverse communities. Monroe, initially hesitant, expressed his gratitude to the people of Bluesand, stating, “It has been my greatest honor to serve this city, and I am humbled by your faith in me.” After weeks of deliberation, he announced his candidacy for the state legislature, promising to bring the same commitment and determination to his work as a representative. He endorsed Patrick Molstein, a fellow Reform-Conservative who shared similar beliefs to Monroe, leading to Molstein's victory in the 1839 mayoral election and his subsequent wins in the following three elections.
Monroe's Representativeship
Joel Monroe’s tenure as the representative of the East Bluesand District from 1840 to 1845 marked a pivotal period in his political career. His election to the state legislature came with the support of a region eager to see Monroe apply his practical leadership skills on a broader stage. While his time in the legislature included work on significant national policies, Monroe’s heart remained firmly rooted in addressing urban challenges—a passion that defined his single term in office.
One of the major legislative moments of Monroe’s term was his support for the Fugitive Slave Act of 1843. While Monroe’s views on slavery were shaped by the political realities of his time, his primary motivation for supporting the Act stemmed from his belief in preserving the Union. However, his involvement in this controversial legislation was a point of contention, even among his supporters. Despite the polarized opinions, Monroe’s reputation for pragmatism and his tireless work ethic allowed him to maintain his standing among constituents.
Monroe’s legislative contributions were not limited to national debates. True to his roots, he devoted much of his energy to addressing the urban challenges faced by communities across the state of Baine. Recognizing the poor sanitation, overcrowding, and disorganization in many cities, Monroe worked closely with fellow representatives to share strategies he had successfully implemented in Bluesand City. Through a series of agreements and partnerships, Monroe spearheaded urban reform efforts in Northern Falls, Diamond City, and Willowbrook. In each of these cities, his initiatives included expanding waste management systems, introducing public cleaning services, and advocating for green spaces. His hands-on approach, which often included personal visits to these cities, earned him the admiration of local leaders and citizens alike.
Monroe’s passion for urban development extended to the creation of new settlements. In 1844, he collaborated with state officials and private investors to establish the town of Bloxangor, envisioned as a model community with planned streets, public utilities, and community parks. Bloxangor quickly became a symbol of Monroe’s vision for a more organized and livable Baine, attracting settlers who sought opportunities in its burgeoning industries.
As Monroe’s term drew to a close in 1845, he began to reflect on the broader challenges facing the state. While his work had brought tangible improvements to individual cities, he came to realize that Baine’s urban problems required statewide solutions. Inspired by the idea of extending his influence to every corner of the state, Monroe announced his candidacy for the 1845 Senatorial Election, stating, “The work of building strong, clean, and thriving cities cannot stop at district lines. It must reach every citizen of our state.”
Monroe’s campaign was marked by his unwavering focus on urban reform and economic development. His track record of success in Bluesand City and other communities resonated deeply with voters, who saw him as a leader capable of addressing both local and statewide issues. Monroe won the election by a significant margin, securing his place as one of Baine’s two senators.
Monroe's Senatorship
During his ten-year term as Senator representing Baine, Monroe solidified his reputation as a reformer and visionary leader. Early in his senatorship, Monroe turned his focus toward addressing widespread poverty throughout the state. By collaborating with mayors and representatives, he spearheaded initiatives to improve living conditions in urban areas, ensuring more equitable distribution of resources and laying the groundwork for long-term economic growth. Within five years, Baine's population stabilized enough to begin expanding into new territories, prompting the creation of several new towns. In 1850, he enacted the Main Street Act, which provided each town with a lengthy street designated for shops catering to the local population, thereby establishing it as the town's central hub. The majority of towns implemented this act, which was officially finalized in 1892.
In 1851, Monroe proposed an ambitious infrastructure project that would transform Baine's economy and New Bloxia's trade capabilities. His vision was the construction of a canal system to connect the Bloxoston Bay in the east to New Blockers City in the west. The canal would pass through Bloxassachusetts and link to the Huntson River, creating a streamlined trade route from the Bloxington Ocean to New Bloxia Bay. Monroe passionately argued that this project would not only boost Baine’s economy but also solidify its position as a critical hub for regional trade, significantly reducing travel times and costs for merchants.
The idea gained overwhelming support from both senators and representatives, and construction of the New Blockers Canal began in early 1851. Over the next four years, Monroe oversaw the project with meticulous attention, managing its operations and ensuring steady progress. The canal was completed in 1858, becoming a landmark achievement of Monroe's tenure and an enduring symbol of Baine's growth.
Even as he focused on the canal, Monroe did not neglect his broader responsibilities. He continued his anti-poverty measures and successfully passed several acts to bolster Baine’s economy, infrastructure, and public welfare. By the end of his term in 1855, Monroe had fulfilled the majority of his plans for the state, leaving it healthier and more prosperous than it had been in decades.
After his senatorship, Monroe decided to run for the presidency in the 1860 election, believing he could bring similar reforms and leadership to the national level. Despite his extensive record and popularity, he lost to Eli Vonn Jr. Undeterred by the defeat, Monroe retired from politics shortly thereafter. He passed away on January 18, 1861, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, progress, and transformative leadership for Baine and New Bloxia.
Civil War (1860-1865)
Monroe departed the state during a period marked by unity and prosperity. His initiatives benefited numerous cities within the state and extended to neighboring regions. As a result, poverty levels reached unprecedented lows, the prevalence of diseases diminished, and access to housing and retail options improved significantly. Nevertheless, Monroe was not the sole individual to experience defeat in the presidential election. Jefferson Travis, who finished second in the 1860 Election, was the only candidate at that time to advocate for slavery, a stance that Joel Monroe had deemed detrimental to the Union as early as 1854. Upon Eli Vonn's victory, he pledged to abolish slavery. Almost immediately thereafter, South Bloxlina, along with ten additional states, seceded from the Union and established the Confederacy, with Bloxaleigh designated as the capital and Travis assuming the presidency. Subsequently, in 1861, they launched an attack on the Union, igniting the Civil War.
Baine's involvement in the war was limited, primarily contributing 2,000 troops; however, the conflict had a significant impact on the region. In Bluesand, a faction of Robloxians aligned themselves with a group known as the inflexibilists, who endorsed racism and slavery, while others joined the abolitionist movement advocating for the cessation of slavery. This division led to numerous riots, with the Bluesand City Riot of 1862 being particularly notable. Violent confrontations erupted, resulting in fatalities. During the initial two years of the war, the conflict was predominantly between the citizens of Bluesand and Diamond City. As the situation escalated, by 1863, the entire state of Baine became embroiled in the struggle. Christopher Rudon conducted a survey to assess the number of inflexibilists and abolitionists, revealing 2,928,547 abolitionists, 2,062,738 inflexibilists, and 114,724 individuals who did not respond. By late 1863, the skirmishes evolved into large-scale marches and riots, often leading to hundreds of casualties, with the 1864 March on Unity Park being the most prominent. In 1864, the intensifying riots prompted Robloxians to scrutinize the political affiliations of mayors, representatives, senators, and governors. Some inflexibilists, driven by their fervent anti-slavery beliefs, resorted to violence, resulting in the assassination of five mayors, two representatives, and the governor during this tumultuous period.
In 1865, the Union ultimately emerged victorious in the war. The institution of slavery was formally abolished; however, this period was marred by the assassination of the president, as well as numerous congressional representatives, governors, and mayors. The city of Baine experienced a tragic toll, with 10,200 fatalities resulting from riots and an additional 4,900 deaths attributed to assassination and murder. Following these events, Baine lay in devastation after Joel Monroe dedicated two decades to its restoration.
Reconstruction Age (1865-1900)
Burke's Campaign
Following the Civil War, Baine was engulfed in devastation, corruption, discrimination, and widespread poverty. The ideals for which Monroe had tirelessly advocated for over two decades had been rendered futile. In November 1865, elections took place, resulting in the victory of unscrupulous officials. Rather than providing assistance and facilitating reconstruction for the state, these officials exacerbated the conditions of poverty and crime, prioritizing their own wealth and notoriety. Consequently, Baine regressed into a state of destitution, which was significantly more severe than before, as it faced a larger population and an increased number of regulations to manage.
In 1869, a man named Darrel Burke, a proponent of Monroe's policies, became disillusioned with the rampant corruption. Determined to combat corruption, poverty, and devastation within the state, he chose to campaign for a senatorial position. However, the entrenched corrupt officials in both the government and Congress recognized the threat he posed to their interests. Fearing exposure of their corrupt practices, which could lead to imprisonment, they conspired to thwart Burke's electoral ambitions.
James Joannides, an elected senator, initiated a significant investment in a portion of the New Blockers Times. He arranged for a percentage of the printed newspapers to be distributed to Bluesand City, Diamond City, and Bloxangor, which are recognized as the three principal centers of population and discrimination. Joannides instructed the editors and journalists to portray Burke negatively. This strategy proved effective, as they labeled him a proponent of slavery, a destroyer of affordable housing, and a potential threat to the stability of Baine. Nevertheless, many rural residents, along with those from Northern Falls, recognized that Burke did not embody these accusations and rallied in support of him during the election, leading to the establishment of the Northern Post, a newspaper proudly dubbed "Unbiased news at its finest."
Ultimately, they recognized that the news alone would not suffice, prompting them to implement additional strategies. Four representatives from Baine made it a point during their rallies to assert that Burke was not a reputable individual and harbored no positive intentions. While this approach resonated with many citizens of Bluesand and Diamond Cities, it inadvertently strengthened the support for Burke among other Robloxians.
Despite the lack of success in swaying public opinion, the corrupt officials resolved to attempt to disqualify or suspend him from the election. They submitted anonymous allegations of violence and murder attributed to Burke. Their scheme involved a corrupt judge who would deliver a guilty verdict; however, their plan backfired. Although the judge favored the opposing candidates, he ultimately acted as an impartial jurist. He recognized the charges as baseless and dismissed the case. This outcome incited considerable fury among Joannides and the other candidates, leading them to make a decision they would come to regret.
The trial, which encompassed three cases over a span of two months, concluded in late September. Joannides provided a substantial sum of tix to one of Burke's supporters to carry out an assassination attempt on Burke. During one of Burke's campaign events in Northern Falls, Russell Tice brandished his revolver and discharged it six times. Fortunately, Burke emerged unscathed, and Tice was subsequently apprehended. He later confessed to the authorities that he had been hired by James Joannides to execute the attack. Both Tice and Joannides received death sentences by hanging. Investigations revealed the involvement of the governor, four representatives, and several mayors in the scandal. Those who played significant roles were sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor, while those with lesser involvement received sentences of 20 years. The year 1870 marked a significant number of elections, including one in which Burke achieved a remarkable victory, securing 89% of the votes.
Rebuilding Baine
A map of Bluesand city drawn by Gunther La Róne in 1830.
Burke commenced his tenure as a senator by reinstating and enforcing all legislation enacted by Monroe nearly three decades prior. Key laws such as the Main Street Act and the Clean Up Act were swiftly reinstated, resulting in significant and rapid improvements in street cleanliness and the expansion of town centers throughout the state. By 1874, the majority of cities had become considerably cleaner, aligning with Monroe's vision of cleanliness. The Main Street Act was completed in 1876, leading to the establishment of over 2,000 town centers in Maine. Additionally, the Education for All Act was reinstated in 1875, which facilitated the construction of schools in towns and cities with populations exceeding 100,000. Nevertheless, only 126 schools were established, necessitating that children from smaller towns travel to the nearest school to receive an education.
After Burke concentrated on the restoration and enhancement of Baine, he shifted his attention towards the welfare of its citizens and the economy. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Robloxian-Eurobloxian Line, collaborating with 71 fellow senators, nearly 130 representatives, and the president. The previous station for the Baine-Dush line was repurposed as a terminal for the new Robloxian-Eurobloxian Line, which significantly boosted Baine's population. In 1880, Burke sought re-election for the senator position and emerged victorious. This time, he embraced the latest technological advancements, advocating for a comprehensive reconstruction of buildings, mandating that all stores and towers be constructed from steel rather than the conventional wood and brick. The popularity of railways surged, as train travel and freight became both efficient and economical. Consequently, Bluesand City and Diamond City experienced nearly a twofold increase in growth due to improved construction methods, expanded routes, and a reduction in poverty.

Burke's primary responsibility during his second term was the oversight of operations in Baine. However, in 1889, he fell ill. Fortunately, he recovered, but he was not in a condition to pursue a third term. He subsequently endorsed a representative named Kurt Wesley, who shared his views and supported Burke's decisions. As a result of this endorsement, Wesley received the majority of the votes from the populace. He served one term before passing away in 1900 from a heart attack. Throughout his tenure, he managed the initiatives left by Burke and maintained the same legislative framework established by him. During Wesley's administration, trade in the New Blockers Canal increased, freight transport by train expanded, and a greater number of robloxians arrived by boat, becoming citizens. The cities experienced significant improvements as well. By 1897, Baine's population had surged to 5,891,301, making it the seventh most populous area in Robloxia.
New Century (1900-1945)
Industrial Revolution
The Third Robloxian Industrial Revolution commenced in 1887 with the invention of the telephone. Following this, a series of significant inventions emerged between 1888 and 1892, including phonographs, cameras, light bulbs, and electric streetcars. The first automobile was produced in 1893 and subsequently sold in 1894. In 1896, notable inventions such as the cash register, metal detector, and seismograph were introduced. Among the prominent companies established during this period were the Robloxia City Building Company, founded by Joseph Antillo in 1899, Ford Cars by Ryan Ford in 1902, and Bloxy Cola by John S. Henderson in 1906.
In 1900, a formal commercial boat route was established between Eurobloxia and Bloxmerica. On February 4, 1901, the mysterious disappearance of Louis Cooper captured national attention, as it was an unforeseen event. He was last seen at the White House in Robloxia City, preparing for a meal. Upon the butler's return from the pantry, Louis had vanished. Despite extensive searches conducted by residents and a dedicated search team, he remained unfound. Within four days, over 3,500,000 Robloxians were engaged in the search. On April 1, Louis was declared dead, despite the absence of his body. This incident, alongside the Mystery of Bloxington, became one of the most enduring enigmas in Robloxian history. Jack Artola subsequently assumed the office of the twenty-fourth president. In 1902, the invention of the airplane occurred, which would play a crucial role in two significant wars in Roblox's history.
On January 30, 1912, the Great Blizzard struck southern and western Robloxia before moving to the Telamon Islands and eventually settling near the Ro Philippines. This blizzard brought unprecedented cold temperatures, averaging -67° F (-55° C), with a record low of -103° F (-75° C) recorded on February 2. The frigid conditions caused the sea between Bloxburg Valley and Bloxington Island to freeze solid for an entire month. Normal temperatures in Robloxia did not return until early May.
Progressive Movement
Jack Artola was recognized as a Progressive and was affiliated with the Progressive-Corporatist Party of Robloxia. Throughout his tenure, he enhanced legislation aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, improving street conditions, and reinforcing building safety, among other initiatives. New laws were enacted, compelling Baine to renovate its structures that failed to comply with safety regulations. The comprehensive reconstruction of each town commenced in 1913 and concluded twelve years later in 1925, largely as a result of RW1's costly expenses.
Work environments were enhanced in safety through the implementation of steel framing, the establishment of multiple emergency exits, and the introduction of fire prevention measures. Additionally, child labor in factories and sweatshops was prohibited. In 1931, the prohibition on alcohol was lifted after more than six decades of illegality. Furthermore, zoning regulations were enacted and enforced, and the Constitution was amended to reflect contemporary legal standards.
Roblox War I
On June 28, 1914, in the Bloxtro-Thirstian Empire, Archduke Franz Rodinand was shot in Ro-Bosnia and Herzegobloxia by Gavriblox Princip. This led to a war between Bloxtro-Thirsrtia and Bloxerbia and its allies. The Bloxtro-Thirstians got help from their allies, Romarkia and Ro Italy. While Bloxerbia got help from the Tovokian Empire, the Bloxia Kingdom (BK), and Rogaulia. Before anyone could realize it, the outbreak of Roblox War I (1914-1918) began.
Following the assassination of Franz Rodinand, Bloxtro-Thirstia sought assistance from its allies, Romarkia and Ro-Italy; however, initial support was only provided by Romarkia. This coalition subsequently adopted the name Central Powers. Meanwhile, Bloxerbia, already under the protection of the Tovokians, received additional support from its allies, the Bloxia Empire and Rogaulia, forming the group known as the Allies. Throughout much of 1914 and 1915, several significant battles took place in Rogaulia. Bloxulgaria aligned itself with the Central Powers, while Ro-Greece joined the Allies. By the close of 1914, the Ottoblox Empire (Chicken Empire) also entered the fray on the side of the Central Powers, effectively involving nearly every Eurobloxian nation in the conflict.
In 1917, Robloxia entered the war as a result of several factors, including the sinking of numerous supply and passenger ships, a telegram from Romarkia announcing an alliance with Bloxico, and the withdrawal of the Tovokian Empire from the conflict. Consequently, millions of men enlisted in the military, prompting women to assume roles traditionally held by men, which led to significant growth in both the agricultural and industrial sectors. Given that many areas along Bloxoston Bay and the Eastern Coast were ideally suited for farming, hundreds of thousands of Bainers entered the agricultural workforce, while millions of women became involved in various industries and corporate enterprises. This shift not only strengthened Baine's economy but also had a positive impact on the nation as a whole.
In November 1918, an armistice was concluded between Romarkia and the Allies. Subsequently, in June 1919, Romarkia signed the Treaty of Versailles, which enforced significant financial reparations on the country and limited its military strength. This development facilitated the return of the remaining soldiers to Robloxia. Nevertheless, women largely remained in the workforce, resulting in the popularity of mixed-gender industries.
Roarin' Twenties and Manifest Destiny
Following the conclusion of Roblox War I, the United States entered a period of prosperity often referred to as a golden age. This era witnessed a flourishing of jazz music, with notable contributions from renowned musicians such as Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. Additionally, women began to receive increased recognition and access to higher-paying employment opportunities. However, in accordance with the Northern Legislature Plan, the prohibition of alcohol was enforced, resulting in the rise of bootlegging and the establishment of speakeasies. Between the years 1923 and 1928, records indicate that 625 speakeasies were discovered, leading to the arrest of 540 individuals associated with their operation. Given that Baine was a densely populated state and in proximity to significant urban centers like Bloxoston and New Blockers, numerous speakeasies emerged in Bluesand and Bloxangor. This decade significantly contributed to the substantial migration to Bloxangor, which has since become the third most populous city in Baine.
In 1926, a fleet of naval vessels embarked on a journey to Bloxadi when they were caught in a violent storm. This necessitated an emergency landing, leading them to an uninhabited island. Once the storm subsided, they reported their findings to the president, who subsequently annexed the territory, designating it as the 46th state, Blocco Rico. Following this event, President Franklin D. Roosevelt became increasingly focused on acquiring additional island territories. He commissioned two explorers, Meriwether Rewis and William Stark, along with their crew, to navigate the Telamon in search of more islands to annex. Between 1926 and 1929, they discovered numerous islands within the Telamon, resulting in the establishment of Ro Guam, Robloxian Samoa, and Bloxwaii as states, while several other Telamonian islands were designated as commonwealths of Robloxia. Most of these islands were uninhabited, facilitating their claim as territory. However, Bloxwaii presented a different scenario. Upon their arrival in 1926, Rewis and Stark encountered a community of the Telamonian tribe known as the Kabu'kidara (kɑːˈbuː kiˈdɑːrə). After their attempts to "politely" assert control over the islands were rebuffed, Rewis and Stark resorted to capturing Queen Ali'leluha Lunewatau (ˌæliˈleɪluːhɑː ˌluːnaɪˈwɑːtʌ) and threatened her life unless the Kabu'kidara surrendered their lands. This confrontation escalated into a two-day battle, ultimately resulting in the islands being ceded to Robloxia. Rewis and Stark continued their expedition, seeking to annex additional islands such as Terandus, Roxington, Hedge, Ro Philippines, and many more.
Great Depression
On October 28, 1929, the renowned and prosperous stock market experienced a significant crash, triggered by widespread panic among investors. This event had far-reaching implications across various sectors of the economy and ushered in a prolonged period of hardship known as the Great Depression, lasting from 1929 to 1939. During this tumultuous decade, approximately 12.8 million individuals lost their employment, and 273,000 faced homelessness. Many children were abandoned due to financial constraints, and over 12,000 lives were lost, predominantly among young children and recent graduates embarking on their adult lives. In the 1930s, jazz emerged as a popular musical genre; however, most jazz musicians struggled to earn a sustainable income. A limited number of professions, such as farming, medicine, domestic service, acting, and entrepreneurship in trading, offered some opportunities, but these positions were scarce. Given the prevailing circumstances, Franklin D. Roblovelt was re-elected in 1931, despite the challenging political climate.
Roblox War II
The beginning of chain of events leading to RW2 started in 1935 with the Neo-Japanese invasion of the People's Republic of Luobu by Emperor Showa. That was followed by the Ro Italian invasion of the Bloxveld countries by Bezito Mussoline. Before Roblox War II, Romarkia had been given a small military due to their participation in Roblox War I. The BK and Rogaulia had also been keeping a close eye on Romarkia. But, ever since 1933, a man named Adolf Kiwi Hitler had been building up the Romarkian military. In 1938, he and his Nazi party marched into New Romarkia and took over the land. Hitler then wanted Czechoslovakia. The Bloxian Empire and Rogaulia agreed to let him have it. They hoped to satisfy Hitler so that he would make no more demands. Their plan—called appeasement—was a failure. Romarkia had taken over the country within four months. Now, he wanted Ro-Poland. Bloxia and Rogaulia told Ro-Poland that they would help them if Hitler tried to invade them, and they did, right after he made a peace treaty with the Soviet Union. This made the Axis forces with the major members of Nazi Romarkia, Kingdom of Ro Italy, Neo-Japanese Empire, Kingdom of Bloxulgaria, Kingdom of Thirstia, and Kingdom of Bloxomania, and the Allies force with the major members of United States of Robloxia, Bloxia Kingdom, Soviet Union, Rogaulia, and the People's Republic of Luobu.
On December 8, 1941, two years into the conflict, the Neo-Japanese Empire launched an attack on Pearlington Port in Bloxwaii, thereby drawing Robloxia into RW2. This event catalyzed the production of battleships, tanks, artillery, aircraft, and a variety of other weaponry, effectively lifting Robloxia out of the Great Depression. Numerous citizens of Baine, who had been unemployed, migrated to New Blockers to assist in the manufacturing of materials. Following the conclusion of the war, many returned to a revitalized, healthier, and more self-sufficient Baine in 1945, with their pockets filled with wealth. The war continued for an additional four years after 1941, culminating in Robloxia's deployment of two nuclear weapons on the Neo-Japanese Empire, which ultimately brought the conflict to an end.
Later 1900s (1946-1999)
Following the conclusion of Roblox War II, a series of conflicts emerged, including the Cold War, which encompassed the Korbloxian War, the Vietblox War, the Bay of Pigs Invasion, and the Ro Cuban Missile Crisis. In addition to these military engagements, the era witnessed significant advancements in technology and legislation. The introduction of more modern technologies contributed to making Baine a safer state. During this period, Baine transitioned from a right-leaning and swing state to a left-leaning state under the presidency of Noobly Cassel. However, his leadership would ultimately bring the nation to the brink of disaster.
In 1951, Noobly Cassel was elected to office and is often considered one of the least effective presidents in history. During a press conference in 1960, he inadvertently disclosed a portion of the Constitution that indicated states and cities were not obligated to remain part of the Union. This revelation coincided with the looming threat of nuclear conflict, prompting numerous self-sufficient cities to embrace the notion of secession. Consequently, hundreds of cities withdrew from Robloxia, nearly leading to the nation's collapse. In the 1961 election, Cassel suffered a significant defeat. Within that year, Diamond City declared its secession from Baine, a move that sparked considerable discontent among its residents. This unrest resulted in numerous protests and confrontations between the "Anti-Secessioners" and "Pro-Secessioners." Ultimately, in June 1961, the government of Diamond City proclaimed its independence and aligned itself with the Northeast Republic, a coalition of cities and counties from the Northeast that had seceded to enhance trade, economic stability, and military strength.

Geography
Topography
Baine is situated in the Northeast region, commonly referred to as the Carl Region or New Bloxland Region. This area is characterized by its mountainous terrain and dense forests, interspersed with lakes, rivers, and marshlands in the flatter sections. The only areas devoid of forests are those adjacent to bays or oceans.
Northern
In the northern part of Baine, one can find beaches along New Bloxia Bay. As one ventures further inland, numerous forests and Amuto Lake, the largest lake in Baine, come into view, spanning nearly 345,000st² (316,800ft²/29,432m²). Additionally, the Northern Falls, comprising two waterfalls on the Kirstin River, and Kirstin Lake, the second largest lake in Baine, are notable features of the landscape. The region is also rich in forests and marshes.
Western and Central
The western and central sections of the state are encompassed by the New Bloxia Mountain Range, which is the second largest mountain range in Robloxia. Given Baine's position at the end of this range, it contains smaller mountains, typically ranging from 2,000st (1,837ft/560m) to 3,800st (3,489ft/1,063m).
South
In the southwestern region where Bloxangor is situated, the landscape is predominantly flat, characterized by hills instead of mountains, and is interspersed with numerous forests and national parks. The land along Bloxoston Bay and the Cape of Baine is both fertile and entirely level. Water is located merely 4.5 studs (5ft/1.6m) beneath the surface, rendering the construction of basements in residences unfeasible. Most agricultural produce is sourced from the cape.
Climate
The climate of Baine is classified as humid continental, characterized by distinct and pronounced seasonal changes. Winters in Baine are long, cold, and snowy, with temperatures often dropping well below freezing, especially in the inland and northern regions. Coastal areas experience slightly milder winters due to the moderating influence of the Bloxington Ocean, but they are still subject to harsh conditions, particularly during nor’easters, which can bring heavy snowfall, strong winds, and coastal flooding. Spring marks a gradual transition, with cool, muddy conditions early in the season and warming temperatures accompanied by blooming flora as it progresses. Summers are generally warm and comfortable, with temperatures ranging from mild along the coast—thanks to the cooling breezes of the Bloxington Ocean—to occasionally hot and humid in the interior regions. Rainfall is consistent throughout the summer, often manifesting as brief thunderstorms. Autumn is a particularly picturesque season in Baine, renowned for its vibrant foliage as the forests transform into brilliant hues of red, orange, and gold. The crisp, dry air and gradually cooling temperatures make it a favorite time for outdoor exploration.
Precipitation is evenly distributed across the year, with annual totals averaging between 40 and 50 inches. Snowfall in winter can exceed 60 inches annually, especially in the northern and western parts of the state. Northern Baine, including the expansive wilderness of the North Woods, experiences a harsher, subarctic-influenced climate with frigid winters and shorter, cooler summers. The Bloxington Ocean also plays a vital role in shaping Baine's weather patterns, bringing frequent fog to the coast in spring and summer. Extreme weather events, such as nor’easters, hurricanes, and ice storms, occasionally impact the state, with nor’easters being particularly notable for their intense snowfalls and powerful winds. This dynamic and varied climate sustains a rich array of ecosystems, from the rugged coastal habitats shaped by the Bloxington Ocean to the dense forests of the inland and northern regions.

Population
As of the 2024 census, Baine's population stands at 6,674,651, reflecting an increase of 0.78% from the previous year's figure of 6,622,589. Each month, approximately 3,000 new Robloxians are born in Baine, alongside an influx of around 1,500 migrants. The most densely populated regions are concentrated in major cities situated along the coast of Bloxoston Bay. Notably, over 75% of the population resides in the southern part of Baine, particularly in urban centers such as Diamond City, Bluesand City, and Bloxangor. In the northern region, Northern Falls is the most populous city, yet it accommodates fewer than 110,000 inhabitants. The demographic composition of Baine includes 83% whites, 4% Latinos, 6% blacks, 3% natives, and 4% classified as other. In terms of religious affiliation, Robloxism is the predominant faith, accounting for 36% of the population, followed closely by Christianity at 31%. The remaining 33% encompasses a variety of beliefs, including atheism, agnosticism, Judaism, Islam, Noobism, Hindubloxism, Oofism, Buddhism, and others.
