The Great Blizzard was a weather anomaly that occurred between January and July 1912. Cold lows that had been pushing south into Robloxia throughout 1911 led to the creation of a weather anomaly that caused temperatures to drop dramatically across the country, setting a record for the coldest air temperature in the 20th century being -103°F (-75°C). The blizzard then moved to the Telamon Islands and Ro-Philippines, where it stopped.
Formation
Throughout 1911, the eastern coast of Robloxia was affected by low pressure from Bloxanada, which cooled the air temperature. The average temperature in Robloxia that year was 46°F (8°C), which is 4 degrees lower than the national average temperature in 1910. In addition, the coast was cooled by ocean currents, in which the water was 34°F (1°C) colder that year. On October 28, 1911, the temperature in Livetopia unexpectedly dropped to 25°F (-4°C) (the lowest temperature in this region in winter is usually 50°F (10°C)). In 30 days in November, the city had only 8 days above 32°F (0°C). In November, the bigger low pressure from Bloxanada flowed to the eastern coast of the country, causing the temperature to drop. This month, the lowest temperature was recorded in the state of Wisconsin, where the air cooled to -6°F (-21°C). In December, the temperature in Wisconsin dropped to -17°F (-27°C). States such as Blorida, Bloxuisiana or Bloxas did not cool down, due to warm lows from Bloxico. In January, a colder than usual low from Tovokia flowed into Roregon. Temperatures in Roregon reached -31°F (-35°C). In the meantime, a low from the east coast penetrated towards Bloxissouri. On January 30, 1912, both lows merged, creating a weather anomaly.
Passage through Robloxia
After the lows merged, temperatures in Bloxissouri and Ro Kansas dropped to -26°F (-32°C) that same day. The snowstorm stretched from Rohio to Blocahoma. On January 31, the temperature in Rohio dropped to -56°F (-49°C). The snowstorm extended to Kionne Republic, resulting in a temperature in Brookhaven of -38°F (-39°C). As a result of the cold air coming into contact with the warm low from Bloxico, a tornado formed in Blocahoma, which is likely to be F3 on the Ro-Fujita scale. Between January 31 and February 14, all states in Robloxia experienced sub-zero temperatures. On February 2, several states recorded temperatures of -67°F (-55°C), with the state of Western Robloxia setting the record for the coldest temperature in the 20th century at -103°F (-75°C). That day, the weather anomaly was so severe that its effects could be felt in Bloxico City, where the temperature dropped from 73°F (23°C) to 57°F (14°C). That day also saw the coldest temperature in the Bloxburg's history, which was -60°F (-51°C). However, the record was proved to be false and the record was instead given to Canoga World, a district in Bloxburg, which recorded -20.92°F (-29.4°C). On February 11, the snowstorm moved northwest. The temperature in Ro Kansas that day rose from -42°F (-41°C) to 19°F (-7°C). On February 18, the snowstorm hit Bloxifornia, where the temperature was around -36°F (-38°C). By February 23, the snowstorm had subsided somewhat, due to the warm wind that was blowing into South Bloxifornia from Bloxico. On February 24, the air temperature rose by 52°F (11°C) from the previous day, when it was -35°F (-37°C). On February 26, the snowstorm started to moved west to the Telamon Sea. As a result of the snowstorm, temperatures in Robloxia were below freezing until May. Up to 80,000 Robloxians died from hypothermia between December and March. Over 50,000 more died because crops were not able to be harvested at the right time. The blizzard also harmed farming for the next 2 years, which caused another 2,000 deaths. In total, around 132,000 Robloxians died from the Great Blizzard.
End of the blizzard
In early March, due to a blizzard, the water temperature of the Telamon Sea dropped from 68°F (20°C) to 63°F (17°C). As the blizzard passed through the ocean, lower temperatures were felt in Neo-Japan, where the average temperature dropped from 64°F (18°C) to 59°F (15°C). On March 8, it hit the Turtos Islands archipelago, which currently belongs to the Telamon Islands. The temperature there was 9°F (-13°C), which is 82°F (28°C) lower than before. On March 10, the snowstorm hit Pukapuka Island and the Tamabu Islands archipelago, and on March 13 it reached western Manakapa. The temperature then dropped to -4°F (-20°C). On March 21, the anomaly merged with the low from the New Robloxia Mountains, causing the temperature in the mountains themselves to drop to -33°F (-36°C) at the end of March. Due to the snowstorm, the average temperature on the island in March was 7°F (-14°C). On March 30, the record for the coldest temperature in the history of the Telamon Islands was broken, when the air temperature in the mountains was -72°F (-58°C). In early April, the anomaly split from the low and moved to Ro-Philippines, where the temperature dropped to 28°F (-2°C). On April 19, the decreasing snowstorm stopped. In Ro-Philippines, a slight cooling lasted until the end of April, while in the Telamon Islands the temperature returned to the pre-snowstorm normal only in April 1913. As a result of the cooling, a famine occurred on Manakapa, resulting in the deaths of up to 105,000 people.
The blizzard was responsible for the deaths of an estimated 238,000 robloxians, making it the deadliest blizzard in history. The anomaly is recognized as a terrifying event worldwide, as it belittled hurricanes, tornadoes, and even famines.
