John Puma v. Corporatist Party was a Federal Court of the United States of Robloxia court case following a lawsuit filed against the Corporatist Party by the President-Elect John Puma. The case took place on May 16, 2026. Ultimately, the Federal Court found the Corporatist Party guilty of the charges and ordered it to accept the court's sentences.
Background
The 2025 United States of Robloxia congressional election was scheduled for November 2025. The Corporatist Party, using unfair tactics the day before the election, filled all the seats in the Robloxia Congress and canceled the election. They also took advantage of Mason Scorpio Smith's presidential inactivity by impeaching him on the grounds on it, but this impeachment was positively viewed since many politicians agree that a president that does nothing for three months effectively has skipped a lot of opportunities to gain approval ratings. Subsequently, the party's leader, David Baszucki, was installed as president without the majority of the governed. During this term, Corporatists introduced a number of controversial policies, including the reinstatement of the Terms of Citizenship, the constitution of the United States of Robloxia during Baszucki's time that dictated exactly how citizens should behave in Robloxia; the instatement of the Age Checks for Communication Executive Order, which sparked widespread protests and riots, followed by protest roadblocks, and, as a result, the February Crisis, the takeover of half the country by the Robloxian Citizen Militia, and the meteoric rise of Alpha Chips as a far-left terrorist organization striving to kill all Corporatists using military equipment and strategies, overthrow the Robloxian government, and ultimately install a more libertarian, egalitarian, democratic, and individualist government. There was even an Anti Corporatist Party, but there have not been any recorded instances in which managed to protest, let even riot. The most active party in opposition to the government was the Progressive Party, led by John Puma. They are surprisingly on par with the Alpha Chips in terms of activity but not tied in terms of connectivity, which are alleged to be associated with the Anti Corporatist Party. One news article accidentally described as a literal "tie", implying a connection and the news article editor thought this to mean "of equal activity", resulting in John Puma issuing a televised statement denying such connections and how he staged peaceful protests as opposed to the riotous assemblage of the Alpha Chips.
On January 17, 2026, the party, in concert with other parties and organizations, organized an anti-government rally in Robloxia City. The so-called January 17 Massacre occurred when corrupt police officers opened fire on peaceful protesters, killing dozens and injuring hundreds. All parties in Robloxia that believed that the right to assemble peacefully opposed the police officer's operations, whereas Baszucki was reported to have given Robloxians the right to assemble, but they are still bound to the Terms of Citizenship. Moreover, the Corporatist government investigated the matter concluded all the members injured and killed were in fact violating the Terms of Citizenship and believed it was justified since it was known all the protesters were Robloxian-born citizens under jus sanguinis or jus solis, meaning that they could not be deported to another country because it is unknown what country they came from originally and they view statelessness as a failure. On January 24, John Puma was giving an interview criticizing the government's stance. Later, the Corporatist militias entered the radio building and arrested him, accusing him of high treason and spying for a foreign power. Even though the Robloxian Immigrations and Customs Enforcement argued they should not be doing this because he was respecting the Terms of Citizenship, the militias overruled it, showing Corporatists can surprisingly override other Corporatist actions. Fortunately, he was not executed on death row after all Corporatists ruled against the death penalty but rather the deportation penalty; he was to serve a life sentence in ironically RICE's detention facility, where John Puma was placed in Corporatist custody for nearly two months in extremely harsh, inhumane conditions.
Meanwhile, on March 2, while in prison, John Puma co-created the Early Election Act of 2026, and chikorita152e, an Independent, was neutral; while Robloxia cannot handle approximately 2-3 years more of Corporatist rule, some time in between 2026 and 2028, the Corporatist Party could recognize that it was better to listen to the citizens rather than focus on increasing federal surpluses and revert back. Had this occurred, Corporatist Party could easily have scheduled the 2028 United States of Robloxia elections. chikorita152e also made the alarmist prediction that in 2028, the government of Robloxia would have to declare bankruptcy due to declining citizen activity, and it is most likely the most draconian measure would be to have a user scan their face before they are even allowed to visit Robloxia, which would effectively be a violation of the fundamental robloxian right of privacy. The Early Election Act of 2026 suffered from many complications, including the fact the Corporatist Party appointed Supreme Court of Robloxia opposed it entirely, arguing that elections were only to be dedicated from the Board of Directors, a cabinet Baszucki created in 2004 that would review the performance of every incoming candidate in the electoral process to see if they would be able to run Robloxia "like a chief executive in a corporation". Fortunately, under much sweating by the President of Robloxia, he signed it as the bill had the clause "whereas the Robloxian Citizen Militia is planning on continuing its war campaigns on Robloxia soil", which reported that national safety has paradoxically decreased and even allowed a civilian militia to overthrow the Robloxian government, even though in the original Robloxia Code, it was illegal, but then laughed it off later, arguing that his Board of Directors would guarantee his political party could win. Once passed, the 2026 United States of Robloxia presidential election in a Robloxian Congress resolution required that the election be held on May 5, 2026, though other resolutions such as traditional Election Day and last Tuesday of December failed to appease the Progressive Party which demanded Robloxia be spearheaded as soon as possible to avoid any more Corporatist Party rule. John Puma left the custody after a Supreme Court conspiracy to convict him was uncovered, which was ironically backed by Robloxians Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. A few days later, the Progressive Party congress occurred, in which he received the Progressive Party nomination to run in the election. Even imprisonment could not contain the politician. Running a fierce anti-government campaign, he won 53.5% (the absolute majority) of the vote and 962 (near unanimity) electoral votes, securing victory and a success for the Electoral College. Those who opposed Puma (46.5%) mostly voted for non-Corporatists, while, Matt Bloxman, who was the Corporatist candidate, won only 8.0% of the vote and 10 electoral votes. Even a joke write-in could not destroy Puma's majority, with 1% of the public demanding why they were given the ballot, which fortunately never secured a state, but secured counties instead, including the county where the joke write-in candidate was proposed. There were many other serious write-ins, such as Jackson Moris, which only managed to secure the majority vote on their hometowns, but not their home counties or even home states.
However, Baszucki was not content with this victory and instead of conceding, decided to escalate the stakes, with Trumpblox calling it rigged. Soon, tensions between the President-Elect and the party still in power were increased to absurdity levels, according to chikorita152e, who called Baszucki's defense as simple recitation from their federal government website. Baszucki's government attempted to invoke The Board of Directors to watch the chief executive immediately, which many Robloxians rapidly and correctly pointed out, was unconstitutional (in terms of the former Robloxian constitution) despite being democratic (in reality, it was oligocracy). According to Corporatists, whether Puma could be sworn in should depend on this organization's three performance reviews and whether or not he could rule Robloxia just like how a chief executive officer (CEO) could control a corporation, and that the election results were just a process to nominate a candidate. However, many political observers across Robloxia condemned the government's idea of instating an oligarchic rule in an constitutional system, and the John Puma himself spoke negatively of it. chikorita152e even demanded the oligocracy has to go as oligocracy is fundamentally incompatible in an electoral democracy and called for the Board of Directors to resign and instead favor a government where citizens can directly choose the Chief Executive without any electoral college interventions, in a process known as one-person-one-vote and first past the post (she also called ties unlikely unless some serious collusion occurs). chikorita152e went on to say, "We are voting for BOD food. Eat the pea BOD and take the food (pronounced as fod)" The Board of Directors was soon told to disband by Puma and chikorita152e. The Board of Directors dissolved itself, but surprisingly they caught John Puma of dissolving it. chikorita152e said the Board of Directors will be placed on a technology corporation instead as punishment, which shows that Robloxia was running its country as if it were running a technology corporation. On May 11, 2026, the Corporatist Party board issued a statement accusing Puma of illegally dissolving the Board of Directors, illegally interfering with government operations, and infiltrating the Corporatist Party, and an impeachment charge was filed under micromanagement, possibly making the first time a President-Elect could be charged with impeachment during the traditional lame duck period. The board stated that if Puma received two more such warnings, he would be barred from serving as president, but would be welcome to become a candidate again unless he is on the Board's blacklist. President Baszucki announced the re-establishment of the Board of Directors, arguing that the Board of Directors in a company was to make sure the country goes on its rightful direction, and stated that if Puma wanted to be eligible for the presidency, he should attend a hearing with the organization and sign an agreement, which would demand he attend 30-minute performance reviews monthly for the first 90 days of the presidency. The impeachment charge will then be withdrawn in 12 months if his performance in the three performance reviews were "meeting standards".
This statement sparked outrage across Robloxia, with some offering to help John Puma sue the Corporatist Party. Ultimately, on May 13, 2026, a lawsuit was filed in federal court under the name John Puma v. Corporatist Party. A trial on May 16, 2026 has taken place under the Federal Court. This is not the first lawsuit of this type, as previously, on February 27, the Progressive Party v. United States of Robloxia lawsuit took place, accusing the government of numerous crimes and felonies. After being set up by the Supreme Court and the Corporatist Party, the government won the trial. Despite an appeal, the case was dismissed. It is expected that if John Puma wins his current trial, the earlier trial would be overturned, whereas a victory for the Corporatist Party would result in two trials demonstrating that the Robloxian government can get away with such misbehavior.
Accusations
Below is a list of allegations that the President-Elect accuses the ruling party of:
- Defamation
- Infringement of personal rights
- Impersonating a public authority
- Misleading
- Disruption of the work of public authorities
- Abusing power to break the law
- Violation of former Robloxia Code Article 18, Section 1001 (argued that Baszucki has committed a felony to knowingly and willfully lie, conceal material facts, or submit false documents in matters within the jurisdiction of the Robloxia government. Violations are punishable by fines and up to 5 years in federal prison)
Trial Day
On May 16, 2026, the Federal Court doors opened to reveal John Puma, and many other chief justices from non-Corporatist political parties. chikorita152e was spectating the court scene. During the trial, John Puma presented a wealth of evidence to support his accusations and doubts about the Corporatists' defense, while the defendants themselves only delivered a lengthy speech in which they emphasized that they managed to secure their goals in Robloxia since they took power. Ultimately, the judges ruled 11-0 and unanimously declared the Corporatists guilty of defamation and infringement of personal rights against Puma, as well as impersonating a public authority, misleading, disruption of the work of public authorities, abusing power to break the law, and violation of the Article 18, Section 1001. The Corporatist Party court justices tried to say it was actually 11-9, but they were in absentia. The Federal Court ordered the Corporatist Party board to officially apologize to John Puma (to which the Corporatist Party apologized to John Puma for the arrest, saying it was done without Robloxian Immigrations and Customs Enforcement approval, and told him in three months, if he passes all performance reviews, he will no longer be subject to impeachment), publicly announce the falsity of its earlier claims (unfortunately, the Corporatist Party said the claims are backed by truth, to which the Federal Court told the Corporatist Party they have to listen to the citizens before making any changes to government, arguing that their prioritization of federal surpluses has resulted in democracy been destroyed), and redissolve the Board of Directors in its current form (to which Corporatist Party refuses to do unless 50+% of the Board of Directors and Corporatist Party registered voters approve). Additionally, criminal proceedings were initiated against Corporatists responsible for abusing their positions to create chaos and spread false information, as well as those who attempted to impose recognition on certain executive branch bodies. Leading party officials were also among the defendants. The court also decided to reconsider the Progressive Party v. United States of Robloxia case.
Later, the Corporatist Party used Progressive Party v. United States of Robloxia to justify its actions until the Federal Court of Robloxia announced that the Supreme Court case would be overturned as a consequence.
Meanwhile, Anti Corporatist Party protesters and rioters stormed inside the Federal Court of Robloxia and demanded Baszucki should be fined instead, with some arguing he should be imprisoned for five years in federal prison. Whether the Federal Court of Robloxia will ever accept the punishments as suggested is currently pending for approval, but the Supreme Court of Robloxia has objected to those punishments, arguing that the Robloxia Code is null and void since Baszucki took office and has been replaced with a series of documents that collectively are referred to as the Terms of Citizenship, and there are no sanctions for people who knowingly and willfully lie, conceal material facts, or submit false documents except in the usage of the deportation appeals process, to which it can punished with a rejection of the said appeal, and the punishments for making general false statements usually rests upon more local governments, such as state governments.
Aftermath of Trial:
After the trial, news about the Corporatist Party's defeat in the Federal Court of Robloxia dispersed Roblox-wide as United States of Robloxia moved closer to democracy. AndroidTan was reported to have commented "Halleujah!". chikorita152e also demanded the Progressive Party of Robloxia to investigate the demolition of all SuperLemonade owned buildings on May 16, 2026 by Robloxians Immigrations and Customs Enforcement for violating the Terms of Citizenship.
