The Republic of Waterloo (alternatively: The Grand Republic of Waterloo, New Waterloo, or simply Waterloo) is a constitutional republic located on Waterloo at Home Island. Established after the Napoleonic Wars and founded in 1815, the republic was formed by Rogaulian Bloxaprtes seeking Freedom, liberty, and a escape from the Bourbon monarchy.

Etymology

Waterloo is named after the battle of Waterloo in which Reptilian commanded a small regiment of soliders

History

Following Napoleon Bloxaparte’s defeat at the Battle of Waterloo, a number of his surviving generals, marshals, and loyal supporters fled Rogaulia to avoid imprisonment, exile, or execution. A significant group of these Bloxapartists made landfall on the island later that year. Determined to preserve the legacy of the Rogaulian Revolution and the Empire, they were led by Jojo GRxPR. Reptillanfriend declared the establishment of a new sovereign state: the Republic of New Waterloo.

The republic’s founding marked a act against the dominant monarchies of Eurobloxia. Its early leaders immediately set about constructing a provisional constitution, organizing a government, and fortifying key areas of the island. The capital, New Waterloo, was founded as both an administrative and symbolic center, while The city of New Carthage became the republic’s primary military installation. The new state embraced the principles of meritocracy, national service, and civic republicanism, blending Enlightenment ideals with the militarized discipline of the Napoleonic regime.

This sudden emergence of a Bloxapartist state so close to the Bloxian coast provoked alarm in Ro London. By late 1815, a coalition of Bloxian loyalists, former military officers, and imperial sympathizers landed on the western side of the island. There, they declared the formation of the Tatorian Empire, a monarchist counter-state aligned with Bloxian imperial interests causing the foundation of the Army of the grand republic. Rather than a brief colonial skirmish, the conflict between these two factions hardened into a protracted and brutal struggle for control of the island.

The Waterloo Wars, which began in 1816, have never formally ended. Throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, the wars were marked by open battles, territorial campaigns, and a fluctuating front line. Over time, the conflict transitioned into a cycle of small-scale raids, fortification efforts, and clandestine operations. Though full-scale warfare has become rare in the modern era, both New Waterloo and the Tatorian Empire maintain heavily militarized borders, and sporadic violence continues to define relations between the two.

After the fall of the tatorian empire they have been planning for a major offensive to break the stalemate and in 2025 they banned a Rogaulian guy for a few weeks. In 5/15/2026 The waterloo wars ended.

Economy

Despite its isolation and only recognized by Rogaulia, the Republic of New Waterloo has developed a resilient and distinct national identity. Its government is centered on a constitutional military framework, with a presidency elected from among the republic’s military and civil elite, and a dual-chambered legislature that combines popular representation with advisory authority drawn from senior military figures. Civil liberties are protected under law, but military service remains central to full participation in civic life. Education, public discourse, and national commemorations strongly emphasize loyalty, sacrifice, and historical continuity.

Economically, the republic is self-sustaining, relying on timber, agriculture, shipbuilding, and coastal trade. The introduction of the Waterloo Robux in 1820 established a stable currency, and the republic maintains informal trading links with nearby maritime states, despite its lack of formal international recognition. Its geographic features—including dense forests, a dormant volcano, and a rugged coastline—offer both natural beauty and strategic defense advantages. Settlements support agricultural and artisan production, while the capital functions as both a political and cultural center.

Infrastructure

The Republic maintains essential public infrastructure primarily through state-operated engineering corps and artisan guilds. Public buildings, roads, and bridges are constructed using local timber and stone or imported martials from Rogaulia, with fortifications concentrated near strategic cliffs, trench lines, and coastal approaches. Most towns are equipped with basic utilities such as aqueducts, gas lighting, Wifi connection, and public bathhouses.

Electricity is limited to big cities often powered by imported generators. In rural villages, candlelight and wood-burning stoves remain common.

Transportation

Transportation in the Republic use traditional methods. Horses remain the most common form of civilian and military mobility, followed by carts, carriages, and foot patrols. While cars do exist, they are uncommon, typically reserved for high-ranking officials, military officers, People who can afford one, or Motorcycle and tank units. Their rarity is due to limited fuel supplies and rough terrain.

There are only two lanes for cars in the country: Reptilian Avenue, which connects the capital to the volcano and front line, and Waterloo Lane, a road that runs from Moria to the village of emperor. Air travel is verry rare, with only one airport, the Jojo GRxPR Airport, located near the southern front. It has It has a small number of planes with the most modern ones being F-15s imported from Rogaulia.

Industry and Production

The Republic is largely self-sufficient, producing much of its own food, tools, and materials. Its economy revolves around agriculture, timber harvesting, shipbuilding, and Trading with Rogaulia. Blacksmiths, coopers, and military engineers operate in state-run workshops, while larger projects are overseen by the sappers of waterloo.

Waterloo has no factories or modern assembly lines. Instead, they rely on rogaulian aid, and most goods are handmade or Imported. Items such as uniforms, some guns, carts, and even musical instruments are produced locally, giving the Republic’s technology a distinct Napoleonic-era aesthetic.

Trade

Technological administration of the economy is closely tied to the state. The Waterloo Robux, introduced in 1820, remains a stable paper-based currency backed by a mix of silver reserves and state bonds. While Waterloo has no formal banking system, public treasuries manage currency exchange, trade permits, and wartime funding.

Geography

Waterloo is surrounded by coastal waters and marked by a blend of beaches, hills, fields, and forests. The coastline is flat with a sandy beach and rocky cliffs.

Much of Waterloo’s interior is grasslands with trees and brushes. Roads and dirt paths crisscross the island, connecting camps, trenches, fortifications, and Cities that have been dug directly into the terrain. The fields are perfect enough for Trainings, Rallies, and encampments. Between the open fields, trees and bushes provide natural cover for soldiers.

Closer to the cliffs, there are huge fields. These make parts of the island covred by grass and drit, and have been used as roads advancing troops. Old trenches, earthworks, and dugouts are found throughout Waterloo’s open grassfields, built and rebuilt after more than 200 years of battles.

The island’s shape and size make it easy to defend but hard to expand. Every inch of Waterloo’s land is used for training grounds, makeshift bases, Cities, or defensive structures. Despite its small size, the island’s simple mix of flat fields, slight hills, and forests makes it an ideal place for battles, trainings, rallies, and skirmishes.

Climate

In winter, Waterloo transforms into an arctic island. Snow falls on the hills and forests, making roads disappear. Lakes and coastal waters freeze, and some of the water has thick ice sheets over it instead of open water. This makes shipping and naval movements extremely difficult, as frozen seas sink vessels and ice block narrow passages like rivers.

The winters are long. Freezing winds blow across the coastline and over the hills, bringing snowstorms that can destroy equipment and supply lines. Frozen lakes are dangerous for boats since they can sink but they are sometimes used as roads or defensive barriers.

Spring is short and muddy, melting snow and ice flood roads and fields, slowing armies and making equipment difficult to move. Summer brings mild temperatures and clearer skies, offering a brief passage of easier travel and army movements. Autumn returns quickly with cold water, mild frosts, and the first snowfall that signals a hard winter is nearby.

Waterloo’s harsh climate shapes daily life and military strategy. Frozen ports stall supply and war ships, snow-choked roads slow convoys, and winter’s deep cold wears down soldiers who must endure months of bitter conditions in trenches and outposts.

Politics

Waterloo has a few political parties including the Democratic-Liberal party, Radical Jacobin party, Star Party, The Conservative Party,and the Patriotic Front Party.

Government

The Grand Republic of New Waterloo is a sovereign, democratic, and republican state governed by a written constitution that establishes a clear separation of powers among three main branches: the Legislature, the Executive, and the Judiciary. Together, these institutions uphold the supreme law, protect individual rights, and manage both national and state-level governance.

Senate

The Senate of the Grand Republic of New Waterloo, also known as the Grand Republic Senate, is the sole legislative body of the Republic. It is a unicameral (single-chamber) parliament composed of 10 Senators, with 2 Senators elected from each of the 5 states. Key details include: Senators are elected every 6 months by universal suffrage,They pass laws, levy taxes, regulate commerce, approve treaties, declare war, and impeach officials, and The Senate can override a presidential veto with a two-thirds majority.

Executive Branch

The Executive Branch is led by a few people:

• President — Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
• Vice President — Oversees domestic affairs and manages Cabinet operations.
• Presidential Cabinet — Includes departments such as: Defense, Interior, Justice, and Treasury, each headed by a secretary.

Judicial branch

Judicial authority is vested in the Supreme Court and any inferior courts the Senate may establish.

Each State Government:

• Must have a Republican form of government.
• Has powers to pass state laws, levy taxes, manage commerce and residency, and maintain a state guard.
• Cannot engage in foreign affairs, coin money, or declare war.
• Retains all other powers not prohibited by the national Constitution.

Diplomacy

The Republic of New Waterloo remains unrecognized by most of the international community, viewed largely as a historical curiosity or an unresolved relic of the Napoleonic era. Yet despite centuries of warfare and political isolation, it continues to function as a sovereign state, governed by its own laws and driven by a sense of destiny rooted in the ashes of Eurobloxia’s great revolutions. Its survival is often credited to a combination of geographic advantage, internal discipline, and an unwavering belief in its founding ideals. Currently Bloxia and Rogaulia are allies, but they worry that one day Waterloo at Home Island will spark a second series of Napoleonic Wars.

Most Waterloo kids go to school at 5 and stay there until 15 when they have 3 choices: join the army, train to be an official or work in the home front as a farmer. most people go to the army. At school they learn about History, Geography, Math, and Training. Training is like a PE class, but you practice Fencing, Bayoneting (fencing with bayonets), Shooting, Archery, and Marching. For lunch they would have Waterloo Cuisine and school would start at 9:AM and end at 4-PM.

The culture of the Republic of Waterloo is a blend of Napoleonic military life, revolutionary ideals, and the island in which its citizens live.

Operation Bloxy Cola:

Objective

First Break through the Tatorian Empire’s Southern Trench Line by using a huge bayonet charge with everyone taking part. Destroy key Tatorian artillery batteries and cities using artillery.

Then launch a surprise attack at enclave using everything we got with militia scouting and making our flanks protected. Before the attack release Phosgene gas into the sky. we have ordered 1000 gas masks from Rogaulia to use in a "Mining project". give the gas masks to soldiers and civilians before battle.

then win the war or least weaken 1 or 2 of our emeries
