The Waterloo Wars are a conflict between the Republic of Waterloo and the Tatorian Empire, beginning in 1815. Fought over control of Waterloo at Home Island, the conflict is one of the longest and most entrenched wars in Robloxian history.
War
Origins
Following the fall of Emperor Napoleon Bloxaparte in the Battle of Waterloo, hundreds of Bloxapartist exiles fled Eurobloxia. In autumn of 1815, twelve ships carrying over 600 exiles landed at Volcano Bay and founded the Republic of Waterloo—a constitutional state devoted to liberty.
The Bloxian Crown, viewing the republic as a revolutionary threat near its colonies, dispatched General Lommy, who formed a rival settlement on the island’s northeastern shore. This new monarchy-aligned colony proclaimed itself the Tatorian Empire, pledging loyalty to the Bloxian throne but operating as an independent military power.

Early Fighting
early combat consisted of Huge battles with tens of men in lines, just like the Napoleonic wars. Over time, the two sides began digging in. By the 1830s, both republicans and Tatorians were building deep trenches, bunkers, and tunnel systems through the hills and forests of the island.
These early trenches were often dug by hand with shovels and reinforced with logs and stone. They eventually developed into multi-tiered trench networks—complete with underground dugouts, communication lines, sniper posts, supply routes, and the daily bayonet charges
The Age of Entrenchment
With industrialization, trench warfare evolved dramatically. By 1916, Waterloo and Tatorian forces had created entire trench cities stretching across the island. Each side developed its own systems of Barbed wire fields, Underground Bases, Railways for sluppies and reinforcements, and Flamethrower bunkers and machine-gun nests
Today
Today, the trench lines are active war zones, patrolled daily by conscripts and veterans alike. Some trenches have stood for over 100 years, reinforced by concrete, steel, and reinforced bunkers. Others have become flooded, overgrown, and haunted by memory.
Tatorian trench doctrine favors rigid, hierarchical layers with officer quarters behind the front. Waterloo uses a more flexible trench design, with mobile artillery positions, camouflaged sniper pits, and dug-in drone stations.
In 2022 a civil war broke out in waterloo but was defeated by waterloo forces. The war ended after a breakthrough into enemy lines, forcing them out of the island.
