Etymology

Funville County derives its name from its county seat, Funville. While many might anticipate that the county would be named after Aberdeen, the largest city in the region, Funville was actually the first and most notable settlement established in the area, which ultimately made it the most fitting name for the county. However, it is a village with only 1,000 residents residing within the area.

History

Ancient Times (16500 BC-1292 AD)

Main article: Ancient Tribes

The initial inhabitants of the county were members of the Tatook tribe. While the Tatooks did not formally colonize the land, the significant presence of native individuals in the region led to the perception that the area was regarded as Tatook territory.

In approximately 764 AD, the Penguin Range Empire established control over the territory inhabited by the Tatook people. This incited a swift response from the Tatook, leading to a conflict that historians refer to as the War of Tatook and Pula. The hostilities commenced in 764 and concluded nearly a year later in 765. Due to the limited presence of Penguinian forces in the region, the Tatook warriors effectively employed guerrilla tactics and ambush strategies, successfully driving Penguinian troops northward into Roregon. Subsequently, the Penguinians received reinforcements from Bloxanada, which enabled them to advance into Tatook lands and secure access to Bloxifornia Bay. However, the Tatook formed an alliance with the Satak-Roben, a tribe situated to the south, and together they mounted a concerted effort against the Penguinians. By August of 765, the combined forces of the Tatook and Satak-Roben succeeded in expelling all Penguinians from their territory, thereby reclaiming their land.

Colonization of the Bloxifornias (1292-1544)

In the year 1291, Robloxia was discovered by sailors from Ro Britain. By 1295, the Dush, Ro Spanish, Rogaulians, and Ro British had established colonies in the eastern and southern regions of Robloxia, encompassing most of Bloxanada and all of Bloxico, while the Robloxians retained control over their own territory. Subsequently, in 1308, the Robloxians expanded their domain by annexing North and South Bloxifornia and Kionne, collectively naming this new territory Bloxifornia. However, in 1309, Bloxifornia was divided into two distinct regions: North and South Bloxifornia. Over time, emigration to these states contributed to a significant increase in their population.

Korbloxian Rule (1544-1768)

Main article: Recolonization

In 1544, in what was then known as Ro Britain, the rise of communism was fueled by the colonization of numerous overseas territories. Following the assassination of King George VII, a viceroy named Korblox I ascended to the throne. He renamed the territory Bloxland and initiated conquests of neighboring regions, including Whale, Roscotland, and Northern Bloxia Island, with the ambition of establishing the most formidable empire the world had ever witnessed. The initial objective was to seize control of Robloxia. Korblox dedicated the remainder of 1544 and the early months of 1545 to strengthening his military forces. By June 1545, he had assembled the largest militia of the 16th century, comprising over 120,000 soldiers. He dispatched 30,000 troops via ships to Ro Fiji, one of the islands he had previously captured, from where they were sent to Bloxburg, a prominent city within the empire at that time. However, Bloxburg was embroiled in an economic civil war, rendering it a vulnerable target for conquest. Within two days, Bloxburg was reestablished as the Viceroyalty of New Bloxburg.

On July 9, 1545, Korblox deployed his minutemen to secure the surrounding territories. They successfully captured North and South Bloxifornia, as well as Bloxington Island. By August, the Korbloxians, as the inhabitants of Bloxland were known, had expanded their dominion to four states. In contrast, Robloxia boasted twenty-two states. On August 20, additional troops arrived, leading to the capture of new territories such as Roregon, Kionne, and Bloxorado, along with the acquisition of Bloxtana from the Rogaulians. Despite these advancements, Robloxia continued to underestimate the threat posed by the Korbloxians. On November 1, 1583, Korblox I passed away due to natural causes and was succeeded by his son, Korblox II.

The inhabitants of the region endured severe mistreatment at the hands of the Korbloxians, resulting in their immense joy in 1785 when a transformative event took place.

Revolutionary War (1768-1820)

Main article: Revolutionary War

In 1768, E.T. Cassel became president. A few years into E.T.'s presidency, he brought back an old battle strategy known as encirclement. He got the idea from the planned ending of the Bloody Bloxas event. E.T. used this. This time, with his encouragement and strong affection for the military, they were able to blockade the Gulf of Bloxico, take over Bloxas, and encircle the southern states and Korbloxian army. Now, Robloxia had seven southern states. They pursued on to encircle the main area of the Bloxland states, but now they were about to be in a war. The battles of Amazeman, Sacramento, Ocean City, Stepford, Bloxburg, Badimo, Robloxity, Bloxington, and many more occured, giving Robloxia the upper hand and eventual victory. They then revised the Modus Operandus and made the Constitution which formed modern day Robloxia.

Between 1785 and 1865, numerous conflicts took place alongside significant population growth. The Battle of Angelox, the War of Independence, and the Civil War occurred during the years 1792-1799, 1812-1815, and 1861-1865, respectively. In 1818, the County Act was enacted, establishing counties within states while retaining districts for representative functions. Additionally, in 1820, Sea County was established in North Bloxifornia, encompassing the land situated between the Telamon Ocean and Bloxifornia Bay.

Split Up (1820-1900)

Numerous emigrants and immigrants relocated to the coastal counties bordering Bloxifornia Bay or the Telamon Ocean, attracted by the plentiful resources of timber, coal, water, fish, and wildlife. By the year 1830, the population had reached approximately 87,294. The sole officially established settlement in the region was Redcliff, which had existed as a city prior to the county's establishment. Many individuals chose to remain in this area due to its protective environment and abundant resources.

In 1847, the town of Funville was officially established. Its pristine resources and breathtaking views of the mountains and the Telamon drew many settlers. Thousands relocated to Funville, leading to its expansion into a city. By 1866, a significant number of residents began migrating northeast as timber and coal resources dwindled in the Funville region. Between 1866 and 1870, over 70% of Funville's population departed for a new settlement discovered by Gregory Aberam and Hickory Waldeen, which they named Aberdeen. The population of Aberdeen subsequently surged to approximately 130,000 individuals. In 1870, a portion of land comprising about one-third of Sea County petitioned for county status due to its increasing population. Sea County consented, and ultimately, the president approved the request, resulting in the establishment of Funville County in 1871.

Throughout the last three decades of the 19th century, numerous technological innovations emerged, culminating in an industrial revolution. This revolution introduced machinery into factories, facilitated remarkable advancements in transportation, particularly through the establishment of railroads, and led to revolutionary inventions such as the electric light bulb. These developments significantly altered the daily lives and working conditions of people. The period was marked by difficult labor conditions in crowded urban centers and was instrumental in the rise of new social classes, as well as the expansion of economic inequalities.
