Robloxian Government Intervention Temporarily Closes Company, Criticized

On April 14, 2026, the Robloxian Immigrations and Customs Enforcement proceeded to authorize the closure of most of the malls owned by the Unimall-Westbrick Alliance due to the property owners refusing to install age checking gates on their mall entrances. As a result, most of the malls have been closed in Robloxia, in what critics view as violating the country's stringent standard that each area in Robloxia should have age checking gates. However, the malls that remained open had age checking gates on their mall entrances, prohibiting any robloxian under the age of 18 from entering the mall premises, a decision that has been criticized by shopping mall-goers as akin to the controversial Age Checks for Communication Executive Order since it incorporated the government's age checking technology on the gates.

However, due to the property owners being busy with other things, the property owners have not yet found out about this sudden closure and age restriction. It is highly likely and amplified by rumors, now debunked, they might have left Robloxia to protest against the closure and age restriction and are not open to bargaining with the federal Robloxian government to disassemble the gates and reopen the shopping malls.

Fortunately, the shopping malls owned by Crayon Malls have no age check gating technology incorporated to them and still remain open as of June 14, 2026, but the malls have been renamed to unrecognizable names, sparking a minor controversy on the prominent multinational commercial joint real estate enterprise. Most of the shopping mall-goers that used to go to the shopping malls owned by the alliance have left to other malls in Robloxia that remain open to all ages and recognizable brand identities, creating an active boycott of the alliance.

As of June 20, 2026, the property owners of the Unimall-Westbrick Alliance finally returned to the public eye and announced that all of the malls have been reopened, but have not been approved by the Robloxian government without the age checking gates. Because of this, the faces and IDs of the Unimall-Westbrick Alliance employees are now in a database, along with other faces and IDs that were used when the Robloxian government mandated age verification to create unrestricted areas. To quell the speculatively damaging rumors, they said that they were not away from Robloxia, and they did bargain with the federal Robloxian government. Furthermore, each mall that was closed has underwent a major renovation, possibly to make it compliant with the Robloxian government rules regarding public places, with more renovations to make it even more compliant underway.
