James E. Truth (July 13, 1917 – November 30, 2003) was a Robloxian politician and military veteran who was the 32nd vice president of Robloxia from 1967 to 1984 under President Roy Lee Admin. A member of the Robloxian Conservative Party, he represented New Bloxia in the Robloxia House of Representatives from 1963 to 1967.
Born and raised to a working-class family in rural New Bloxia, Truth served in the Robloxian Armed Forces and was deployed to Roblox War II in 1942. Between the late 1950's to early 1960's, he started getting involved with local politics, and was elected to represent New Bloxia in the House of Representatives in 1962. In 1967, he was called up to be vice president by Roy Lee Admin after the assassination of John F. Kenny. Serving for 17 years, him and Admin chose not to run again in the 1984 election due to health concerns. After his vice presidency ended, he lived with his family in Bloxington, D.C. until he passed away in November of 2003.
Early Life
James Edward Truth was born on July 13, 1917 near Rindey, New Bloxia in a small farmhouse. He was the eldest of three children, born to Edward and Mary Truth.
Military service
Truth was deployed to Eurobloxia to fight in Roblox War II in early 1942. During his service, he was highly respected by his fellow soldiers for his leadership and bravery. In 1944, his tank unit hit a mine and exploded, causing serious injuries to his legs and face. He was immediately evacuated from combat and airlifted to receive medical treatment. Due to the severity of his leg injury, he was unable to continue serving in active combat.
Political Career
Representativeship
After getting involved with local politics in New Blockers City, he started gaining recognition from the public. In 1962, he decided to run to become a Representative. After a strong campaign, he was elected to represent New Bloxia in the House of Representatives as a Conservative. After a smooth first term, he was re-elected to a second in 1964. In 1967, a few months into his third term, President John F. Kenny would be assassinated. Vice President Roy Lee Admin was sworn in the next day and asked Truth to be his vice president.
Vice presidency
During his time as vice president, Truth had a pretty high approval rating, and was respected by most citizens. He also contributed to growing Robloxia's Armed Forces. In 1968, he backed President Admin's decision to launch a bombing on the Baconese Islands, which led to the Secret War, which ended in 1973. In 1974, he and Admin were re-elected to a second term. However, chose not to run for re-election in 1984 due to Admin's deteriorating health. On November 8, the president would pass away in office due to a heart attack. Soon after, Truth would step down so president-elect, George W. Blox, could be sworn in.
Late years and passing
After he retired, he lived with his family in Bloxington. On November 30th, 2003, James Truth would pass away at the age of 86 due to natural causes.
