The Secret War, occasionally known as the Bacon-Robloxia War, was a conflict between the Bacon Empire and Robloxia that occurred without any foreign intervention. The war commenced in 1968 following the assassination of President John F. Kenny by Roberto Vancarro, a hitman from the Bacon Empire, and concluded in 1973 with the bombing of the four principal islands of the Bacon Empire by Robloxia.

Following the overthrow of the Bacon Republic's government by monarchist rebels in 1932, the Bacon Empire developed a profound animosity towards Robloxia and other Western nations, despite being as a Western entity. Numerous incidents occurred between 1950 and 1965, primarily involving shootings and unsuccessful genocidal attempts orchestrated by Baconese hitmen. However, in 1967, King Rodrígo Bacon III devised a meticulously planned assault. He commissioned a hit squad known as Los Silenciadores, or The Silencers, and outlined his strategy. The plan involved positioning each assassin at predetermined locations, equipping them with weapons. The most skilled assassin would make the initial attempt, and should that fail, the next most proficient would proceed, and so forth. This operation was scheduled to occur while the president was traveling in a motorcade through Dalton, Bloxas, en route to an airport for a business conference.
The initial assassin, Couppe Zanora, received a pipe bomb concealed within a briefcase designed to resemble a tower. His instructions were to blend in as a valet and place the briefcase among the luggage in a vehicle. However, he inadvertently deposited the briefcase in an incorrect car, which belonged to civilian Rodger Bearton, who fortuitously was not present when the bomb exploded. Although two Robloxians sustained injuries, there were no fatalities. The second assassin, Gián Kobrem, was tasked with approaching the open vehicle and directly shooting the president. Unfortunately, as he charged forward, he was intercepted and apprehended by police officers stationed around the car. The police successfully disarmed him before he could fire his weapon. Lastly, the third assassin, Roberto Vancarro, positioned on a tower with a sniper rifle, executed his plan by shooting the president twice—once in the chest and once in the cheek. John F. Kenny uttered his final words, "No, they sure can't," before succumbing.
Vancarro was apprehended three days later at an airport while en route to Panamablox, presumably intending to use it as a means of fleeing the country and returning to the Bacon Empire. During the interrogation, he disclosed information regarding the King's scheme, which incited considerable anger among the interrogators and eventually, the nation.
