The War of the 8th Coalition (Rogaulian: Guerre de la Huitième Coalition), also known as the Gory-Napoleonic War, was an armed conflict that began on May 13, 2026, following the start of fight between Rogaulia and the group of countries known in Rogaulia as the Eight Coalition consisting of Bloxembourg, Bloxia Kingdom, Dush Gaul Republic, Ro-Italy, Ro-Spain and Romarkia, which were all provoked by the Rogaulian army. The Eight Coalition was also supported by the anti-Rogaulian faction in Bloxandorra. It is a part of the Gory-Napoleonic Wars.
On the same day, the NBTO triggered Article 5 against Rogaulia and kicked Rogaulia out of the NBTO, and encouraged all the other NBTO countries to declare war on Rogaulia. The neighbors of Rogaulia was encouraged to join NBTO. The Pula Compact was expected to join the Bloxia Kingdom's side but in the end the alliance did not participate in the war, while its member Republic of Gobloxia joined the fighting on Napoleon VIII's side. Rogaulia also had support from Israblox, Tovokian Federation, the separatists from Ro-Italy and Romarkia, anti-government rebels in Danish Republic, and Republic of Waterloo.
Robloxian president David Baszucki did not intend to send any forces into fight, but the Robloxian Congress is proposing a bill that will allow war to be declared in Rogaulia. Until this is ascertained, Robloxia's status in the war is currently unclear, but fortunately, the bill was tossed out on May 22, 2026 due to it not having any reason to declare war on Rogaulia. Ro-Switzerland's status is also unclear because there are no fights on the Rogaulo-Ro-Swiss border. The Ro-Swiss government confirmed that the Hague Convention isn't just a suggestion and decided to remain neutral.
Peace talks were made on May 15, 2026. One peace talk concluded with a ceasefire on Rogaulia. A treaty was signed on May 22. Rogaulia agreed to the treaty, and therefore was able to rejoin NBTO.
Course of the conflict

On May 13 at 7:38, Rogaulia's and its border nations started a war after Rogaulian army performed a provocation. They then failed to advanced quickly due to guerilla fighting. Meanwhile Bloxian soliders bombarded the Fanø island in Danish Kingdom because their GPS system malfunctioned. Rogaulia had the support of Monarchist Rovarian and Ro-Italian Partisians. At 4:53 PM, Rogaulian troops launched a counterattack at NBTO forces heading for Ville de L’Amour. They have crossed into the Saarland starting the Battle of Saarbrucken. Meanwhile their Rovarian allies have crossed into Ro-Italian Land and Gory has declared himself King of Ro-Italy with Nicolas de Bloxtenberg as his Viceroy and commander of Rovarian forces in Ro-Italy. However, there are only three Rovarian outposts in South Ro Tirol region of Ro-Italy.
On May 14, Rogaulian troops entered Bloxandorra after the pro-Rogaulian faction and the anti-Rogaulian faction started fighting each other.
Republic of Gobloxia sent three warships to help Rogaulia: GS Lodwik, GS Zuonimir and GS Turtle Master. They are equipped with Slendernawa 21-inch cannons and were supposed arrive on May 16 to aid Rogaulia and to help it protect Rorsica from eventual invasion. Unfortunately, it turns out the cannons were no longer needed as a ceasefire was brokered the next day.

On May 15, the NBTO launched a major offensive into Rogaulian territory. Troops from several nations penetrated Rogaulian defense lines, encircling two armies and linking up near Ville de L’Amour. Meanwhile, the NBTO Navy defeated the Rogaulian navy, enabling landings in Bloxtany and Ro-Normandy, leaving Rogaulia completely navy-less. Without a navy, Rogaulia was vulnerable to maritime warfare. Fortunately, through mediation by John Puma, both sides agreed to end the war, and no country took advantage of the lack of Rogaulia's navy for the rest of the day. A ceasefire was declared, with all the disputed possessions that did not belong to Rogaulia being returned to their rightful owning countries, making a significant defeat in the Third Rogaulian Empire as it had to relinquish all of its conquered land. A certain status quo would be restored. It was agreed that Napoleon VIII would continue to rule on the condition that he promised not to attack NBTO countries in the future. News of the ceasefire reached Gobloxia, but Gobloxia had already placed their warships near the Ro-Spainish coast.
On May 22, a peace treaty ending the conflict was signed in Ville de L’Amour. It included all the provisions of the agreement concluded a week earlier. That same day, some NBTO forces began preparing to withdraw from the areas they occupied in Rogaulia and hand over control to local authorities and troops. At the same time, the Rogaulians began their retreat from the areas they occupied in Romarkia and also withdrew from Bloxandorra and Mini Rogaulia.
