Presidential elections were held in Robloxia on November 2, 2004. The Robloxian Conservative Party's ticket—David Baszucki and Michael Guthrie defeated the incumbent Reformist president George W. Blox and vice president Xavier Brawnson. This election saw one of the highest popular vote count in Robloxian history.
David "Builderman" Baszucki won his primaries by a landslide, gaining the Conservative Ticket. George W. Roblox won his primaries by a small margin but enough to give him popularity for the beginning of the election. Baszucki focused on improving and reforming the economy, strengthening the borders and national defense, and focus on a laissez-faire government. Roblox was more focused on continuing to reform civil service, women, children, workers, and Robloxians of cultures' rights, and clean energy development. The main problems during the time were workers' rights, terrorism, inflation, the economy's stability, and the military's strength.
George W. Roblox who was president for two consecutive terms, since 1984 after winning the 1994 presidential election, was re-seeking election for a third term, while David “Builderman” Baszucki contested him. Roblox, who was initially expected to win the election, however, was beginning to loose support majorly due to many staying about his “poor national defense” during his second term, leading to the eventual bombing of Alexander Office, that caused widespread economic impacts. At the same time, there were many other terrorist attacks which mainly took place around the northern parts of Robloxia, dating back to the Northern Robloxia Terrorist Attacks that took place from mid-1996 to early-1997 and has left more than 5,000 fatalities. This led to political tensions that slowly rose into the 2000s. Several months prior to the 2004 presidential election, Baszucki ran multiple campaigns throughout the country, particularly in northern regions where terrorist attacks previously took place and urban centers where his ideologies were popular, emphasising on national defense and strengthening the borders. Roblox, on the other hand focused on reforming civil service and rights for Robloxians. Baszucki eventually won due to rising tensions related to national defense and Roblox’s criticism for poorly handling national defense.
Background
In the years leading up to the 2004 election, Robloxia faced several challenges that shaped the harsh political landscape of the nation. During that time, inflation was gradually on the rise and was putting pressure on several workers and businesses around the country. Labor unions organized strikes across several states demanding better wages and working conditions, making workers' rights a key issue for voters. A series of terrorist attacks at that time, such as the 2003 Bombing of Alexander Office also prompted concerns about national security among Robloxians. These events increased public support for stronger funding for military and improved border control.
During the early 2000s and the election time, Robloxia was attempting to recover from a minor recession that impacted industries like manufacturing, technology, and shipping promoting many factories to cease operations, with a considerable amount of workers loosing their jobs or facing pay cuts hardening daily life for many families, especially in smaller towns and rural areas where jobs were already scarce. Numerous of businesses wanted fewer rules and lower taxes to grow financially, while workers pushed back, asking for fair pay and safer workplaces. Meanwhile, the country’s cities were changing quickly with diverse people were moving in, which brought new ideas, however also widespread tension. Many communities around the period desired more rights and protections, such as better schools, healthcare, and chances for women and children to give their opinions against high rank politicians with environmental issues escalating with many debates on how to use clean energy.

General election campaign
Campaign issues
National security and terrorism
Security became a major concern after the 2003 Bombing of Alexander Office, which killed many employees in Alexander Office and injured more than a hundred. However, there were also several other terrorism activities such as the Northern Robloxia Terrorist Attacks which also gained recognition although it happened more than a decade prior to the election. The issue was David “Builderman” Baszucki’s main focus as he told that he would “strengthen Robloxia’s borders” with increased surveillance. He called for the expansion of intelligence sharing between states and allied nations, along with defense modernization within the first 100 days of his term. Baszucki also promised on increasing military funding. George W. Roblox, in contrast, focused on strengthening multi‑agency coordination and community prevention programs, arguing that over‑militarization would create divisions. He also emphasized strict oversight of emergency powers to prevent abuse.
Economy and jobs
Economy was also an issue at that time due to Inflation and layoffs causing widespread frustration. Baszucki pushed an aggressive “pro‑business” agenda, with his campaign mainly focusing on businesses. Baszucki would give support to urban businesses by tax cuts, He believed this approach would create millions of jobs and revitalize struggling manufacturing districts. Roblox campaigned on strengthening worker protections, loosening regulations and build more industrial zones in order to attract private investment. He also promised a large public works program to modernize infrastructure in towns affected by factory closures. Baszucki argued Roblox’s policies were “government-heavy” and would worsen the deficit, while Roblox countered that Baszucki’s laissez‑faire model favored corporations over working families.
Health care
- Main article: Health care
Healthcare was another contested issue. Baszucki emphasised hospital modernization during his campaigns and private partnerships. He also said that he would increase funding for urban medical centers. At the same time Baszucki promised to make healthcare “accessible for all”. Roblox sought to expand public healthcare coverage, build clinics in underserved rural areas, and allow the government to negotiate bulk drug purchases.
Campaigns
David "Builderman" Baszucki
David "Builderman" Baszucki's campaign mainly emphasized innovation, improvement in infrastructure, and national unity, with his slogan “Powering imagination” becoming widely popular among young voters. Baszucki travelled to many cities such as Bloxburg, Bloxhicago, and Sacramento. A moment during campaign became viral online when he visited a newly developed education hub in Downtown Bloxburg City and answered coding questions from 9-year-old children, gaining widespread popularity in BloxTube.
George W. Roblox
George W. Roblox ran a much more traditional campaign, focusing on patriotism, stability, and national security. His slogan “Keep Robloxia Safe” was often used in campaign ads that portrayed Baszucki as inexperienced and naive. He toured mostly rural, suburban regions and a few urban areas, holding town hall meetings and defense rallies, especially in Southern Bloxburg and Western Roregon. Roblox repeatedly warned against what he called “the unchecked rise of tech billionaires” and promised to protect small businesses.
Timeline
Results
The 2004 Robloxian presidential election had one of the highest voter turnouts in national history with 239 million registered voters out of a total 610 million population. There was a strong voter turnout of 59.3%. This was widely due to rising national security concerns, increasing unemployment, and widespread distrust of the political elite. David “Builderman” Baszucki, representing the Corporatist movement, won 317 out of 510 electoral votes, securing victories in 32 out of 51 states. Baszucki mostly performed well in central industrial regions, urbanised settlements, and provinces with high youth populations.
David “Builderman” Baszucki, running on the Conservative ticket, won 317 electoral votes compared to George W. Roblox’s 193, carrying 32 out of Robloxia’s 51 states. He also won the national popular vote by a margin of nearly 24.5 million votes (132,458,290 to 107,994,823), giving him a two‑party vote share of approximately 55.1% to Roblox’s 44.9%. The tipping‑point state was Roregon, which Baszucki carried by just 1.7% after a late‑night count of absentee ballots. Other narrow Conservative victories occurred in Bloxslyvannia (+2.4%) and Brickland (+0.9%), while Roblox narrowly held South Bloxifornia by 1.2%.
The election was formally decided the morning after election day, when networks called Roregon for Baszucki following the count of late-arriving absentee ballots. This gave him more than the 270 electoral votes required to win the presidency. Baszucki’s win marked an ideological shift in Robloxian politics, signaling a renewed focus on economic liberalization, corporate tax reform, and aggressive national security policy.

Aftermath
Following the election, David Baszucki was inaugurated as the 30th President of the United States of Robloxia on January 20, 2005. After gaining his presidency, Baszucki began implementing economic reforms, including corporate tax cuts, deregulation of industries, and a national security act that increased defense spending by 30%. His victory also represented an ideological shift in Robloxian politics making it more economic and business focused of that time. Within the first year, Baszucki’s approval ratings rose significantly, although his second term has seen several fluctuations as he began to focus more on urban areas and “left behind” rural areas, especially after rejoining the Corporatist Party.
In Baszucki’s early years of presidency, funding packages are directed toward rebuilding transport networks, upgrading municipal utilities, and expanding fiber networks in urban and suburban centers. Baszucki emphasised on private‑public partnerships and support for entrepreneurship leads to a boom in startup ventures and a noticeable drop in urban unemployment. However, concerns rise among rural states and smaller towns, where economic improvements appear slower and resources remain scarce. This imbalance sparked the beginning of a regional divide in political support, with many rural districts becoming increasingly critical of the administration’s priorities. Baszucki signed the Search and Rescue Act within his first years of presidency due to him dealing with the Great Amaxon Earthquake and Hurricane Cathy within the first year of his presidency.
Socially and politically, Baszucki's victory reshaped the Robloxian landscape. The Corporatist movement gained renewed legitimacy, encouraging center‑right and economically liberal candidates to emerge in state and local races. The Robloxian Reform Party, in contrast, entered a period of introspection and realignment, with debates over the future of its leadership and platform. Meanwhile, former president George W. Roblox formally retired from political life, but remains an influential voice in civil service and humanitarian causes. The election also leaded to an increase in youth political participation,.
