Polytoria, also known as the Polytorian Empire or shortly Poly, officially the Republic of Polytoria, and formerly Chaos City, is a country in North Bloxmerica, located on Polytoria Island. Advertised as a great country to meet new friends and learn from experienced mayors, Polytorians can connect with other Polytorians on government forums online and in person via chat. The country has been praised for capturing the classic market that the previous Robloxian government wanted to abandon.
History
Pre-Independence
The earliest case of the country's existence traces back to 2017, when the country declared itself independent from its parent country, presumed to be Robloxia according to some primary sources, though the primary sources remain primarily apocryphal. At that time, the country was closed to immigration.
Post-Independence
Opening Up
In early December 2020 (specifically, on December 1, 2020), the country's first president opened up immigration and its first citizenship field offices.
Polytorian Hyperinflation Crisis
Hyperinflation in Polytoria occurred as April 14, 2023 approached. This was caused by Polytorians hoarding Bricks, presumably taking advantage of the currency exchange building where they can currency exchange Studs to Bricks without a second Polytorian.
Great Brick Massacre as Polytorian Solution to Hyperinflation
The Great Brick Massacre, also known as the Economy Reset, was an event that happened on April 14, 2023, coincidentally seven years after Tix was deprecated in Robloxia. A response to the hyperinflation crisis in Polytoria fueled by hoarding Bricks, the Polytorian government, rather than deprecating Bricks, decided to 100% wealth tax the population and authorize the mass confiscation of all possessions. Great polarization in Polytorian political debates occurred subsequently, dividing the country into two camps: the Resetist, which argued that Brick hoarding was so heavy that it was causing hyperinflation in Polytoria and the only way hyperinflation could be curtailed were to 100% wealth tax and mass confiscate the possessions of the citizens, and the non-Resetist, which argued that the government should have handled it effectively as if it were a hyperinflation crisis in a country.
After the Great Brick Massacre, legislation was passed in the Polytorian Congress to make sure hoarding does not occur again; every Polytorian who is intending to currency exchange Studs to Bricks must bring a second Polytorian to process the transaction.
Polytoria Refugee Crisis
On January 2026, Polytoria saw what experts call a refugee influx that later developed into a domestic nationalized refugee crisis. Most of the refugees are of Robloxian descent and ancestry. Several notable refugees (albeit temporary) include Toxic Low Five, a Robloxian content creator; JMT; CeeJay; SharkBlox; and RodyTheRoad. Toxic Low Five was reported to have made a video titled "Robloxia sucks so I visited Polytoria", JMT with "Polytoria: The Robloxia Alternative", stating that those two countries have some potential to have diplomatic relations in the future, CeeJay with "How to visit Polytoria", SharkBlox with "Visiting Polytoria", stating that many robloxians in the country of Robloxia have been looking for alternative countries to visit, with one of the alternative countries being Polytoria and "What happened to Polytoria (Citizenship Field Offices Closed)", stating that due to a influx of immigrants and that the servers here were unable to process a lot of naturalization applications, Polytoria's field offices for naturalization have been closed until an upgrade was done on all field offices, with a former Robloxian government employee saying that it is highly unlikely Polytoria will ever reopen its citizenship field offices, sparking the first diplomatic statement that framed Polytoria as an enemy of Robloxia.
Reopening of the Polytorian Citizenship Field Offices
On March 11, 2026, after upgrading the servers on the field offices, the Polytorian government would officially reopen the field offices, allowing robloxians to be able to get a Polytorian nationality and officially stay in Polytoria as normal Polytorian citizens while defying the Robloxian government employee's expectation that it would never reopen.
Recognition by Robloxia
In May 2026, the presidential election in Robloxia was won by John Puma, an anti-Corporatist candidate whose one of foreign policy directions was cooperation with neighboring countries. Therefore, on June 18, 2026, immediately after visiting Coneland, the President of Robloxia traveled to Polytoria. Robloxia officially recognized Polytoria, and the two countries signed cooperation agreements. Due to this event, as well as John Puma's fight against Corporatism in Robloxia, Polytoria's population began to decline for the first time in months, as former immigrants were returning to their homes in Robloxia. It is currently predicted that within the next two years, almost all immigrants may leave Polytoria, and over time, some Polytorians may begin to emigrate to Robloxia in search of work, thus reversing the earlier trend and causing an even greater decline in the country's population.
While most of the BloxTubers of Robloxian descent and ancestry are stubborn to leave for Robloxia, some Polytorians on BloxTube decided to immigrate to Robloxia just to see what it was, releasing videos such as "How to visit Robloxia" and "Visiting Robloxia".
Robloxian-Polytorian Relations
Many robloxians find Polytoria to be very familiar due to the fact country of Polytoria has classic, simple, and old Robloxian vibes that many robloxians miss, such as the existence of two currencies, which Robloxia used to have until April 14, 2016. Most Polytorians have non-dynamic faces that are similar to classic 2D faces in Robloxia and blocky styles like robloxians. Because the country is smaller than Robloxia, many robloxians find the country to be more wholesome, interactive, and chill. Best of all, the country has a freer vision of creativity, as it does not have any pressures, such as heavy monetization, and even does not even have an executive order similar to Age Checks for Communication Executive Order, meaning that any robloxian can speak to any robloxian.
