Hurricane Arlene's Track in 1999
During early May, a tropical wave was monitored for development in the southeastern Bloxington Ocean. Gradually moving west, the wave continued to produce lots of convection and develop a well-defined circulation. The wave then started to move more northwest, then by May 2, the wave designated as an invest. The same day, the Robloxia Hurricane Center [RHC] designated the storm as a potential tropical cyclone at 7:00 AM, Bloxington Time on May 2. The cyclone then kept organizing and finally gained a fully closed circulation, quickly becoming a 160 mph (257.49 km/h) tegory 5 Hurricanes May 3 and gained the name Arlene. Arlene continued to move northwest. Arlene's appearance got better as recon flights were in and out of the storm, though intensification had stalled. Late on May 4, Alex then resumed organization and then quickly peaked with winds of 185 mph (297.73 km/h) and a central minimum pressure of 822 mbar at around 1:00 PM on May 5. After peaking, Arlene then made landfall near The Amazeman City at peak intensity. Arlene then returned to a 160 mph (257.49 km/h) Category 5 hurricane by 7:00 PM the same day. However, the storm's appearance kept on degrading and by 1:00 AM on May 6, there was little to no convection around Alex's center and therefore the storm was no longer a tropical cyclone according to the RHC. Arlene's swirl remnant moved north-northwest and made landfall on Nikilis City early on May 7. In Arlene's wake, there was surprisingly little damage amid the storm's small size. In total, Alex caused 234M ROBUX in damage and 8 deaths, four from a vehicle accident and the other four from being swept out to the Bloxington Ocean.
This was the first phase spawned by the 2002 Laser Beam Disaster, which could explain why a Category 5 could form in May.
