The 2002 Bloxy River Megatsunami also known as Bloxy River's Big One or Bloxy River Wave Catastrophe was a colossal event as a consequence of the rapid movement of the Bloxy River Plates over twenty days. The first earthquake, an 9.7, happened in the Bloxy River. Most scientists overlooked this, despite the plates moving faster than usual. The 9.7 earthquake caused a colossal wave about 1,500 feet, despite the intensity, going at a rate of approximately 2,000 miles an hour. However, the wave hit Jarison first at approximately two minutes after the earthquake, where the wave slowed down, but grew in size to approximately 2,000 feet. The wave then hit Jarison, causing geological altering to the small town and destroying the largest water piping and heating facility in Robloxia. 11 seconds later, the wave hit major cities along the Bloxy River, causing flooding. It occurred on June 2nd.
Formation
20 seconds before the tsunami formed, a couple colossal foreshocks of 6.6, 4.7 and 5.1 were recorded near the Bloxy River Plate fault, causing the crack to widen and go deeper, giving it the chance for more stronger foreshocks. Earthquakes of 4.7, 5.2, 7.1 and 3.1 were also recorded, the 7.1 earthquake being the most effective, rapidly making the fault widen and go deeper once more. A large earthquake at 9.7 intensity struck, rapidly cracking some of the corner plate and causing it to fall in, as it caused a megatsunami about 1,500 feet to go up, going at 2,000 mph, giving Robloxians around a measly 24 minutes to evacuate from the big tsunami, but Robloxians in Jarison and the nearby big cities had a even more measly two minutes to evacuate. Badimo City had the longest time to evacuate, at 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Impact
Two minutes after the tsunami formed, a colossal wave was sighted heading towards Jarison. However, since the Bloxy River is not an ocean, no tsunami sirens went around. However, it still caused mass panic in Jarison as the tsunami rapidly slowed and grew to a size of 2,000 feet, being able to swallow Jarison whole. The tsunami swept in rapidly, first wrecking Jarison's small town limits, then as many vehicles were still evacuating, swept onto Jarison's principal boulevard, causing many deaths because of drownings, and many more when the wave swept in. Within a second, the wave swallowed Jarison whole. By that, no buildings remained, causing pretty much the entirety of Jarison to be submerged underwater.
22 minutes later, the wave, now approximately 1,750 feet tall, reached Nikilis City, hitting rapidly as it did not get rid of all buildings like Jarison did, instead, it just briefly made it go under, causing the most deaths of the tsunami, as many more Robloxians ran in mass panic, a few being able to close themselves in homes, barely managing to live. Not much was known about this tsunami, but the Nikilis City officials believed tsunamis can occur only on large water bodies, unlike Robloxians in Jarison, with only the 20-50 Robloxians who chose to ride it out staying. Despite all this, not many deaths were even caused except for Robloxians submerged under and those who drowned. 20-50 buildings collapsed, including notable ones, collapsing on several other tall buildings, causing a huge chain that caused most deaths however, but still, despite this, not many deaths occurred so far. Eventually, one minute after, the tsunami impacted, a transformer exploded, causing the water to be electrified and killing much more Robloxians.
32 minutes later, the wave, now a 1,050 foot wave, hit Robloxia. Due to Robloxia being far inland, no Robloxian believed that the tsunami was real, until the Robloxians here saw it. Every Robloxian in the streets were not able to run all the way up because Robloxia is arguably a flat town, henceforth rendering them unable to avoid the rushing flood waters. All Robloxians here were killed by the giant wave. Eventually, the wave receded, and all buildings of Robloxia were in ruins, including the store, the restaurant, and more. The tsunami continued to go inland. It caused deaths in Robloxia, which was ruined completely.
24 minutes later, the wave, now a 900 foot wave, struck Badimo City, causing major impacts around the city. It caused Badimo City to be underwater; surprisingly, not much was recorded here except that Badimo City was mostly underwater after, and many of the buildings collapsed, and it flooded Badimo City. This is all that was recorded during the wave at Badimo City.
The wave fortunately had not enough kinetic energy, after colliding inelastically with many debris. By the time it got to the Robloxian Mountain Range, it tried to climb it, but unfortunately, even though it had kinetic energy, the energy required for the tsunami to cross Bloxburg ( potential energy ) was more than the kinetic energy of the tsunami. Therefore, it spared Bloxburg and other cities east of the Robloxian Mountain Range from the mega tsunami threat.
Recovery
After the mega tsunami, at least 50 recovery aids were scheduled to fly to the region between the Bloxy River and the Robloxian Mountain Range, where it was hit the most, but was delayed until 2003 because a bigger disaster was going to strike in the next 20 days (The 2002 Core Disaster). The entire area was rendered uninhabitable, therefore aid was limited to reconstruction of the area. 20-50 famous Bloxtubers died, including most Bloxtubers in Cineblox Productions for an important thing caused at least 50 Bloxtubers to die. Therefore, movies before the mega tsunami and after the mega tsunami had a stark contrast. Luckily, Cineblox continued production of films.
