Gillent County is a Robloxian county located in the west part of Central Robloxia. The county seat is Gillent, the largest city in the county and the seventh-most populous city in the state. It is one of the most populous counties in Central Robloxia with an estimated population of 1,260,000.
History
The county was formerly inhabited by Nabes from the Siwuk tribe. In 1297, the first settlement, Vedan, was established in what would become the Gillent County.
In 1332, President of Robloxian Empire Erik Cassel II purchased the land from the Siwuk and founded the city of Gillent. Four years later, in 1336, he established Gillent County. He built an estate in Gillent, where he died in 1343. His son Erik Cassel III was imprisoned in the same estate in 1360 after being impeached and forbidden to leave the city. He died there four years later.
Gillent County saw armed fighting during the Bloody Bloxas, when Gillent and Fort Ulysses were besieged. Gillent capitulated, while Fort Ulysses was saved at the last minute by plague in the besiegers' ranks.
Troops from the county fought in the Robloxian Revolutionary Wars under the command of General Benjamin Herbst and then General Richard "Noobly" Bloxington, later president of Robloxia.
During the Robloxian Civil War, there were clashes between Union and Confederate forces in the Gillent County, including the Battle of Moorfield, which was won by the Confederates.
Highways
Gillent County is crossed by I-21 and I-83, which intersect in Gillent. It is also crossed by Ro-Route 56 and Central Robloxia State Route 9, which begins in Gillent.
