Erik Cassel III (August 16, 1313 - April 5, 1364) was a Robloxian politician who served as the 3rd president of Robloxia from 1343 until his removal from office in 1360. He was the first president to be impeached in the Robloxian Empire era. During his presidency, education was developed, New Bloxico and Brickland were granted statehood, and the Tatook Expansions took place. However, Erik Cassel III in 1360 wanted to exterminate Nabes and Pumas natives, causing an impeachment to be filed. He is sometimes nicknamed "Erik the Mad".
Biography
Erik Cassel III was born on August 16, 1313. He was the elder son of Robloxia's president, Erik Cassel II. He had a brother, John-Tigrius, who was five years younger.
In 1334, at the age of 22, he joined the Casselist Party. He soon became his father's vice-president. He financed the construction of eight new cities.
Presidency
Erik Cassel III was elected the third president of Robloxia and inaugurated on October 29, 1343 after his father died from saft overdose five days earlier. Erik introduced education reforms and held referendums in Brickland and New Bloxico. The results indicated approval for statehood. As a result, the president granted New Bloxico the status of a state of Robloxia in 1346. Brickland became the next state five years later, in 1351.
Cassel offered his brother the office of vice president, but Tigrius declined because he wanted to be a peaceful merchant leaving the country without vice president before Tigrius's son Eril Cassel I was named in 1358.
Tatook Expansions
Between 1345 and 1352, Erik Cassel III led the Tatook Expansions - a conflict against various tribal nations, including the Tatooks, Sharnaks, Lakawis, and Bloxxolians. Erik wanted to eradicate Tatooks but the nobility forced him to sign a peace treaty. He achieved his goal of expanding Robloxia, but it left the nation divided and an opposition started growing.
In 1353, Erik Cassel III created the Pumian Subterritory. The subterritories were intended to be unofficial administrative units whose governments would represent the indigenous people living there. The president hoped that in this way he would gain the support of the Pumas in the next conflict and calm the opposition irritated by previous wars with indigenous peoples.

Ericus City, natives extermination and impeachement
In 1359, Erik Cassel III conceived the idea of building a new city, Ericus, in Brickland, near the Great Pyramids. It was meant to be Robloxia's new capital. A 185 kilostuds long road was built from Robloxity to the designated site, but it turned out that important nomadic migration routes ran nearby, and the road was illegally close to an Nabes camp. As a result, the natives sent a robloxian named Pakota to Robloxity to complain about the president's actions. Another road was also difficult to construct because it would have passed through part of Pumian Subterritory.
Furious, Erik Cassel III announced the abolition of the Subterritory in September 1359. He then announced a program of extermination against the Nabes and Pumas. Over the next few months, a total of 576 natives were shot before the Robloxian Congress alongside with vice president Eril Cassel I rejected the program. The President also summoned an army to pacify the Pumas and then have them fight the Satak-Robens.
By violating the constitution, Erik Cassel III became unpopular. An impeachment trial began in May 1360. The president was officially removed from office on June 29, 1360. Seven days later, Eril Cassel I became the new president succeeding his uncle.
Arrest and death
Cassel was subsequently arrested. He was released in 1361. The former president spent the rest of his life at the family residence in Gillent, where he died of a heart attack three years after his impeachment. He was buried in a local chapel near his father's grave.
