Death
On August 1, 2020, George Bloxord and his friends and family were traveling to Retropolis to attend his concert, which was taking place at a music hall there. At around 11:42 AM, Bloxord drove his vehicle to a Boom Gas Station, near Rohio State Route 19. Bloxord allegedly entered the gas station to purchase a slice of pizza and purchased a Bloxer Energy Drink, according to passengers of the SUV. CCTV captured Bloxord tripping numerous times and acting drunk. His father later stated that Bloxord had been doing this as a joke to his friend who was also present. At around 11:49 AM, when Bloxord exited the gas station, the clerk, Amanda Lynn Tuomi, made a call to 911 stating that there was a drunk person who had just entered the store, and had gotten back into their vehicle. However, she later stated in the call that she did not know if he was joking or not. At around 12:04 AM, Police Officer Derek Welles (who was 43) and his partner, Daniel Peterman (who was 23) pulled over the SUV that Bloxord was driving in, near a local grocery store. Bloxord was in the driver seat, his dad in the passenger, his friend, on the left backseat, his cousin, in the middle seat, and another female friend in the back right seat. The bodycam showed that Bloxord was being questioned by officer Peterman, who asked questions regarding drinking questions. In body cam, Bloxord is seen denying the claims, and makes a joke about the clerk, "She was stupid to think that then" After this, officer Welles attempted to make Bloxord step out the vehicle in order to do a breathalyzer test. However, Bloxord refused and stated, "Hell to the nah," "Why don't you preform one on yourself?" and "Bro I'm not drunk so I'm not taking it." After this, Welles grabbed Bloxord, and put him in a chokehold. Peterman attempted to de-escalate the situation, but Welles proceeded to tase Bloxord after he kicked the officer's leg. Because of this, Bloxord fell on Welles, causing him to shoot Bloxord with a taser 4 times against the car. Bloxord fell against the vehicle and died six minutes later on the scene. His last words were, "GET OFF ME!", according to his father. His death later ended up causing the 2020 Retropolis Riots.
Aftermath
The chief of the Retropolis Police Department was sent to the site shortly after to administer a chemical test on Bloxord at the request of relatives and friends. Because they were confident that he was innocent and wanted to make sure, his family and friends phoned the police chief. In the autopsy, he had a blood alcohol content (BAC) above the legal limit of 0.08%, by roughly 3.4%, of which the original autopsy discovered; it was also discovered that Bloxord was revealed to have an undiscovered left-brain tumor. The second autopsy showed that he did not have any pre-existing medical conditions, and it allegedly stated Bloxord did not have any alcohol in his system. A 6.7-million-dollar lawsuit was filed against Derek Welles and the Retropolis Police Department in December 2020 by the parents of Bloxord. The first autopsy was denied usage in court. A memorial, later named the "George Jamal Bloxord Square" was set up on Chardon Avenue to 1 New Blockers St. The memorial was created in 2020, and officially inaugurated by the city of Retropolis Mayor, Vince Sibley.
Autopsy 1 (Retropolis Medical Examiner's Office, (OFFICIAL By Mark Jackman)
In the first autopsy, which was carried out by the State of Rohio, and the Retropolis Medical Examiner's office and carried out by medical examiner Mark Jackman, Bloxord had an undiscovered brain tumor, located in the Prefrontal Cortex. This would've likely have had an impact on Bloxord's decision making. The Average BAC in the state Of Rohio is 0.08%. Bloxord had 3.4% above the legal limit in the State of Rohio. However, since Bloxord had lived in Bloxas, the limit was 3.6, since Bloxord had been living in Miablox leading up to his death. It was detected that early that morning while on a drive between Rohio and Bloxas, Bloxord, at same point, had taken alcohol sometime in the early morning, and the effects were still in his system. However, Bloxord was likely unaware of this and thought he was no longer drunk. Bloxord had roughly seven pre-rolls of unprescribed marijuana in his system. Other drugs that he had was a half-pound of methamphetamine, and two cigarettes of heroin, roughly. His official cause of death was a hybrid cause of death, resulting in a drug overdose, following a heart attack, and two seizures which he was then shot four times by Police Officer Derek Welles, while using his police-grade taser, which resulted in Bloxord having those violent seizures, where Bloxord would shake uncontrollably. On the body camera footage, Officer Welles would proceed to give him CPR as an ambulance arrived on scene. However, it is estimated Bloxord died 36 seconds after hitting the ground, but EMTS at Rohio General attempted to revive him. However, after 5 minutes, he was officially announced dead, after his heartbeat and pulse flatlined on the electrocardiogram.
New Blockers City Medical Examiner, (UNOFFICIAL) By David Tarasenko
In the second autopsy, which occurred on August 7th, 2020, was carried out by a private medical examiner, David W. Tarasenko. However, no physical or digital document of the autopsy has been shown or released; the autopsy was only read. In the autopsy by Dr. D.W. Tarasenko, Bloxord's cause of death was Ventricular Filiation (VF), and it also accordingly stated that Bloxord was a healthy man, and that Derek H. Welles was using gross negligence during his shift that morning, and had 'accidently' tased him in a fatal spot, due to gross negligence. This autopsy was one of two unofficial autopsies used by the Bloxord family's lawyer, Benjamin Goodwin, and also supported by Dr. David W. Tarasenko. However, the second unofficial autopsy gives a different cause of death.
Legacy
Later, Bloxord's father seized the wheel and sped off in the direction of the performance location, telling everyone that the event was being held as a hybrid of a funeral and a concert in honor of his departed son. His call to action was to say the names of the racist cops after the performance.
