The Retropolis Police Department (RPD) is the primary law enforcement agency in Retropolis County, Retropolis, Rohio. It is the largest police department in the state of Rohio, standing next to The Saint MacLean Police Department, Retropolis' twin city. The department is divided into four bureaus, (From least powerful to most) The Civilian Police, The Retropolis Department of Justice, The Retropolis Police, The Department of Investigation, and The Leading Rohio Executive Administrative Branch. It had an original total of 10 Precincts. However, following the 2020 Retropolis Riots, the eighth precinct was destroyed following September 4th, 2020. At the peak of Retropolis' Population, over 967,256 were served, 344,446 were arrested regarding theft, 197,000 in Grand Theft, and 25,000 Related to miscellaneous charges and crimes. As of the 2040 Census, it has served over 650,726 Citizens of Retropolis. The RPD answers roughly 380,000 911 Calls to the city and has been able to help 90/100 People per 911 call.
The Retropolis Police Department also serves Rohio State University Students, having three campus police stations located at the University, as well as Retropolis State University, Rohio Falls National Park, with roughly seven police stations in the park. They also function on The Retropolis Metro Transit Subway, The Retropolis County Sheriff's Office, and the Retropolis International Airport as Airport Security.
History
The RPD (Retropolis Police Department) is roughly 121 Years old. Before 1919, the city of Retropolis did not have a police department. However, it is not to say Retropolis was not policed prior to 1919; volunteers created their own independent and autonomous police departments. The establishment of the RPD was a considerable milestone for Retropolis, and today, their first ever police station has turned into a police museum focusing on Retropolis crimes and the country of Robloxia.
1919-1931: Forming and Renaming of RPD (Retropolis Police Department)
On May 5th, 1919, the Communist Socialist Racist Party of Robloxia, to help themselves in the war against the Liberal Democratic Robloxia Party, built the RPD, (Retropolis Police Department) as a way to further aid themselves in the war against the Democratic Party. They established their first precinct on May 30th, 1919. It was originally named the "Police of the Communist Party" It was later changed to, "The Retropolis Police Department" in 1931 due to the fact that many Robloxians found the name not ideologically neutral.
1947: Creation of the 3 Precincts
In 1947, while the Communist Socialist Racist Party of Robloxia was still re-building Retropolis (former Minneabloxia), they established three more precincts in multiple locations across Retropolis. The three precincts have been renovated numerous times. Lead paint was replaced with lead-free paint, pipe leaks have been patched, and every trace of radioactive material was disposed of in the precincts. Currently, they are considered some of the best police stations in the state of Rohio.
1960: Construction Of 6 Precincts
In 1959, the city of Retropolis, decided to create a project, known as, "The District Policing Project" in different districts around the city. They set up a total of six precincts. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd were built, and they finished between 1960-1964. The 4th, 5th, and 6th were built in 1965-1967. However, following The 2020 Retropolis Riots,  rioters and protesters looted and burned down parts of the 8th precinct of the RPD, (Retropolis Police Department). The building currently sits on the plot, covered off via barbed wire and tall fencing. It currently still sits in Retropolis.
1994: Rise of Retropolis
Retropolis becomes a large hub. However, it would not achieve global recognition, only hemispherical recognition. Because of this, this led to the further expansion and funding of the RPD, (Retropolis Police Department).
2007: Increase in Police Units
Following the 2007 Retropolis Green Flanders Bridge Terrorist Attack when 14 victims, and over 50 had been injured, Retropolis began to fund more Bomb-Units, as well as Bridge Protection Units, or "Crossing Police".
2020 Retropolis Riots, Destruction of 8th Precinct.
George Bloxord, a famous BloxAfrican-Robloxian rapper, was shot dead by a police officer Derek Welles, who was born on October 3rd, 1977, while visiting Retropolis. This caused the 2020 Retropolis Riots,  which resulted in five deaths and 2.19 billion Robux in property damage. It also led to the destruction of the eighth precinct, the precinct that Derek Welles was working for. Derek H. Welles, the police officer who killed Bloxord is now discharged, and sentenced to 23.5 years in prison, but was released 8 years early in 2036, after being sentenced in February 2021.
2024: Failed Assassination Of Vince Sibley
Vince Sibley, the mayor of Retropolis, was announcing that after Robloxia President Roblox pressured him to and threatening to demolish the city if he did not comply, he would illegalize dating and sex. This made daters enraged, so for the remaining time of his speech, the daters bore weapons and guns and would try to find openings in the crowd. Once an opening was found, a gun was fired at his head. The spherical corroded metallic bullet narrowly missed his head, yet it did enough injuries to render him pronounced dead in the University of Rohio Medical Center, where it was revealed that he was not dead; he was in a comatose state. While he was comatose and in the medical center, the vice mayor finished the deed
