Thunder Science Initiative (referred as TSI, formerly Thunder Science Company/TSC) is the company that was responsible for the first release of the infamous Furr Infection in 2013.
Founding:
Thunder Science Corporation was founded in Neo-Japan in 1950 by a renowned researcher named Jhang.
Later in 1984, Jhang died in an accident which prompted his son, Kolin, to take over Thunder Science Corporation, which later became international in 1989 under the orders of Kolin, ██████████ and ██████████ with their international headquarters being in New Blockers City.
As a research company, it specialized in infections such as the Furr Infection, ██████████, ██████████, and ████████████████████.
In 1999, they would become a subdivision of Terragroup Labs and would become even more mysterious to the public.
It would remain a mystery to the public until a raid on their building known as Thunder Towers in New Blockers City by the Chaos Insurgency would cause a massive spread in rumors and thoughts as to what they were hiding. Due to this, their head researchers Dr. Spencer Klein and Kyra Parker would quit and find new places to work (Dr. Spencer would go to the Global Furry Agency's Research Institute and Dr. Kyra to Laminax Labs). Other assets such as ██████████ and ██████████ would leave, but they would not be seen as important.
However, TSC was exposed and later shut downed in 2013 due to the Furr Infection outbreak.
Ties to other groups:
Their ties to many groups is unknown or unconfirmed. There was a rumor of Laminax Labs either working for or working with TSC after it was sighted by a tourist on the Hokanda Highway tunnel of a TSC transport truck entering the gates to Thorne City which Laminax's main site is located at. Other groups that caused a raise of questions into what TSC is doing were raised of if they were working with the RSCP Foundation in some way when they were sighted dropping off shipping containers at Apolloyon Science Foundation's dockyard. The only group that is known to have ties to and is confirmed to be working with TSC is the Furry Peace and Justice Corporation. It would also be revealed they are a research division for the Global Investigations and Justice Department.
Reactivation (GFA's Funding)
As of 2032, the Global Furry Agency had collected remains of the TSC Assets and somehow reactivated the company under the name of Thunder Science Initiative; with their founder being former Thunder Science Company's Head of Department member, Simon Acomolia.
The objective of this initiative is to research and retrieve the missing Furr Infection reports that was concealed by their late founder Kolin (who was transfurred in a failed project).
Their new motto is quoted to be:
"Lighting Research all the way!"
Their main headquarters is located at the yet dismantled Thunder Towers, while there were Furr Infected individuals still located at there, it was still considered functionable by GFA.
Uniforms
Pre-2024 (Pre-GFA Takeover)
Test Subjects
Most test subjects wear latex shorts instead of clothes during tests, while it looks and sounds like a fetish, it has an odd purpose. When a test subject wearing the latex shorts disobeys, the researchers can activate an infrared laser in order to activate the shorts to "secure" the disobedient test subject (similar to how the Global Investigations and Justice Department uses shock bracelets for their prisoners).
If they are not doing tests, they are to wear RSCP Foundation Repurposed Class-D Jumpsuits.
Thunder Scientists
The scientists wear mostly lab coats with their office clothing, with the higher ranks wearing a black lab coat with their office clothing. In the event of an interaction test, they are to wear an respirator and a hazmat suit.
Thunder Science Security
Unlike private security, they wear III-A Frontline Class Body Armor and are armed with Sarius 97 Small Machine Gun and 480 Multi-Combat Shotgun. They wear a black security uniform with a respirator, and if they are part of a higher rank, they wear a black beret.
Administrative departments
Founder/Leader Exclusive
Post-2024 (Pre-GFA Takeover)
In 2024, the TSC decided to redo their uniforms and add new ones making them stronger and harder to penetrate with bullets. The only ranks that had new uniforms were security and shipping.
Post-2032 (Post-GFA Takeover)
As of 2032, most of their uniforms are somewhat the same.
Thunder Science Security
Unlike their 2013 counterpart; they wear Class-IIV Class Combat Armor and are armed with TM4 assault rifle and Bartoli M8 shotgun.
