History
Early Life
Emily Grace Yvonne was born on Tuesday, May 25th, 1993 in RoCity Hospital at approximately 4:32 am to Shinichiro Asakura, a Neo-Japanese citizen from RoCity and Amanda Yvonne, a Rogaulian citizen from Bloxanada.
During the ages of 7 to 14, they joined what they describes to be their first true fandom, that being of the anime series, Automatic Maiden and the manga series of the same name. In fact, according to them, the first time they heard of BloxTube was through an fan-site dedicated to the aforementioned franchise.
Start on BloxTube
EmiMari’s first ever BloxTube profile picture, back when they were known as “RikiYuki896”
On June 8th, 2007, Emily (at-the-time aged 14) logged into BloxTube under the name of “RikiYuki896” (often referred to as RikiYuki), in which they would originally upload fan-created AMVs (Anime Music Videos) of the Automatic Maiden series, these videos did not receive that much traction. However, BloxTube saw those videos and decided to permanently delete them from her channel in 2009 due to copyright infringement.
Later, they would post their first viral video titled “My voice impression of May”, a video where they attempted to (and failed) to do a voice impression of May (Haruka), a character from Brick Bronze Pokemon: Advanced Generation. This video was so viral and the first video that did not get copyright struck.
Sometime between 2009 and 2010, they changed her username to “EmiMari”, adding the “Mari” at the end because they wanted to honor their sister, Marisa Yvonne (who passed away on June 28th, 2009 due to a disease). The channel would upload significantly less during June until November 2009 due to mourning of their sister. They returned to the platform on November 2009.
Brick Bronze Pokemon Abridged
Throughout 2011, they were frequently featured in the infamous web series, Brick Bronze Pokemon Abridged (more specifically, the “Hoenn arc”) by TheGreatestGamer84 where they played the role of May because they were good at voicing May even though it was initially conceived as a failure. This would be Emi’s first appearance in an already-well known BloxTube series, which made them more popular.
They kept returning for each season made after the Hoenn arc, as they played Iris in the “Unova” arc, Serena in the “Kalos” arc, Dawn in “The Sinnoh Chronicles” and as Lana in the final season of the series (referred to as the Alola arc).
