A debate among 2026 United States of Robloxia presidential election presidential candidates was held on April 27, 2026. Hosted and organized by RNN, it was the first and only debate of that year's presidential election. Participants included: Voldex Bloke Jr. (New Voldex Party candidate), Matt Bloxman (Corporatist candidate), Julian Jefferson (Reformist candidate), John Puma (Progressive candidate), Jordán Rordóñez (Communist candidate), and Donald Trumpblox (Conservative candidate).

Prelude

Agreement to Debate

As the 2026 campaign developed, Baszucki's Age Checks for Communication Executive Order effectively prevented all forms of debate, even televised, since all presidential candidates have not yet age checked to unlock their communication privileges. Meanwhile, the Commission on Presidential Debates, which brokers presidential debates, has been unfunded by David Baszucki. Despite this, an illegal agreement to debate was announced on March 15, 2026. It was illegal in two ways: It allowed for those who have not age checked to communicate, and it also was coerced, since all campaigns by default agreed to debate regardless of their opinions of the debate. Later, RNN reported it would be hosting and organizing the entire event, and decided to choose a venue that would unfortunately have a live studio audience. The date, April 27, 2026, was chosen to be the date of the event.

However, campaign internal memorandums from the same day outlined criticism for an late debate along with plans for debate preparation. While it noted that "by holding the first debate in April 27, [candidates] will be able to reach the widest audience possible", the memo told candidates that one of the disadvantages of an late debate was that if they performed poorly, their campaigns would have no time to recover. Not all of the candidate advisors and political parties wanted an late debate, and some did not want the candidates to debate at all, especially the Corporatist Party, which were very against the debate due to the fact the agreement was illegal under the Age Checks to Communicate Executive Order and the fact all six candidates have not yet age checked. Despite this, some advisors and political parties were very supportive of a late debate, such as the Progressive Party, which supported the RNN's decision to hold the debate on April 27, 2026.

Qualifications

Although Baszucki claimed to have no objection to the new Corporatist candidate Matt Bloxman participating in the debate, arguing Bloxman would actually help Baszucki continue to enforce Baszucki's national safety doctrine even if he does not have the chief executive power, the remaining five campaigns opposed Baszucki's inclusion. On March 29, Baszucki tried to send a complaint email to the imaginary Robloxia Election Commission alleging that five campaigns colluded to prevent Bloxman from appearing at the debate, but since Robloxia has no election commission, the email bounced back to his inbox.

The qualification criteria that were adopted for the April 27, 2026 United States of Robloxia Presidential Debate on RNN required participants to:

  • Be constitutionally eligible to hold the presidency;
    • The RNN clarified that the Robloxian Constitution should be used to determine eligibility, even if the Robloxian Constitution was repealed again on November 2025 in favor of the new president's Terms of Citizenship. As a result, Baszucki is unable to participate due to it violating the 22nd Amendment, leading him to send Bloxman to the debate instead.
  • File with the Robloxia Election Commission;
    • Unfortunately, the Robloxia Election Commission has been unfunded since David Baszucki took over, resulting in this requirement being removed.
  • Appear on a sufficient number of state ballots to have a mathematical possibility of winning a majority vote in the Electoral College; and
  • Agree to the rules of the debate.

There was a meta-debate on whether to enforce the rule that at least 15% support in four national public opinion polls selected by RNN should be used to qualify candidates, but since there were only three national public opinion polls, the rule ended up being dropped. This led for the first time that candidates of less than 15% support in national public opinion polls selected by RNN could be eligible to participate in the debates in the entire RNN-hosted debate history.

Later, campaign memos recommended that the candidates hold many informal question-and-answer sessions with the media, a town hall event, and prepare for at least five days before the debate. The Bloxman campaign hired Baszucki, the 32nd president of the United States of Robloxia, to assist him in debating the five other candidates; deputy chiefs of staff collected material on policy contrasts with the other five candidates. It is reportedly said that filmmakers helped coach the candidates in preparation for the debate. All candidates engaged in preparations at government offices, arriving on the night of April 20 and remaining there until it was time to go to Ro Atlanta, Reorgia.

According to political advisors, Trumpblox "views his rallies as debate prep" and engaged with limited debate preparation, whereas the other five candidates arrived, prepared for the debate. At a rally in Wisconsin, Trumpblox thanked Baszucki for colluding with him and allowing Trumpblox to capture the president of Rovenezuela; ally with Israblox; assassinate Ali Bloxenei, the then Supreme Leader of Iran; and launch strikes against Iran. Trumpblox then proceeded to say to the remaining four candidates are his formidable opponents and even hoped they would give up. Bloxman told Baszucki that if he won, it would be seen as a promotion.

Format

The debate was streamed or broadcast by most major Robloxia news organizations. The debate was ran with audience members present. Notable audience members that were on the audience included Coeptus III, Classic, Swagger, and Baszucki. Coeptus II did not attend because he was dead. The debate was more of a planned panel, with speaking order determined by sorting the candidates' last names alphabetically in order. Each question was written by the RNN, and there currently are no limits on how long a response, a rebuttal, or a counter rebuttal can be in terms of time.
