November

2nd

• Jacob’s Ladder is released.^[1][2]

1991

• Chris Deschaines' father runs a Burgers 'N' Borscht pop-up near Microsoft's campus.^[3]
• Microsoft shutdowns due to post-11/2 technophobia, which coincided with the broader collapse of Silicon Valley.

July

• Bian My allows her daughter to choose her name. She chooses to name herself after the third-century Vietnamese freedom fighter Lady Triệu.^[4]

18th

• The first Lollapalooza is held.^[1][3]

1992

• The Pelican Deposition by John Grisham is published.^[1][5]
• Steven Spielberg released a film about the Dimensional Incursion Event titled Pale Horse starring Jeff Goldblum.^[3][6]

November

3rd

• Robert Redford defeated Gerald Ford to become the new President of the United States.^[7][8]

December

3rd

• On his 13th birthday, Sean Parker's father gives him 1300 dollars and suggests that he invest in that money.^[9]

1993

• Sean Parker became a millionaire after investing in industries that he predicted would take off due to post-11/2 technophobia and xenophobia such as print media; he even invested in "squidsploitation" markets like Extra-Dimensional Security.^[9]
• Sean Parker invests in Tromaville Studios.^[9]

January

20th

• Robert Redford is officially sworn in as President of the United States.^[8]

21st

• Robert Redford views Adrian Veidt's video message.^[6]

After January 21st

• The Tech Recall and Reintroduction Act of 1993 was passed under Robert Redford, a thirty-year, five-stage plan that grants the President of the United States authority to draft federal employees into the work of reintroducing technologies once deemed unsafe or illegal back into the public space.^[10]
• The Campaign Finance Reform and Donor Disclosure Act of 1993 was passed under Robert Redford, preventing corporate PAC money in politics that would normally influence government policy.^[11]
• Robert Redford appoints Andres Serrano to rebuild the National Endowment for the Arts following decades of reduction and gutting by the administrations of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.^[8]

December

• The Nine Inch Nails perform at Wembley Stadium with special guests Green Day and Suede.^[9]

17th

• The Pelican Deposition, a film adaptation of John Grisham's novel, is released starring Denzel Washington and Julia Roberts.^[1][8]

1994

• Matthew Crawford dies in the line of duty as an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer.^[12]
• Angela Abar graduates from Anh Linh High School. Upon graduating she joins the Saigon Police Department and becomes an officer.^[13]
• Sally Jupiter dies.^[14]

March

8th

• The Downward Spiral by the Nine Inch Nails is released, featuring the song "Hurt".^[1][9]

1995

• New Frontiersman publishes Rorschach's journal in its entirety.^[15]
• The New York City Police Department cedes custody of Rorschach's first journal to the FBI’s Behavioral Sciences Division.^[15]
• A Tulsa native named Jerry is born to a survivor of the 11/2 Psychic Shockwave.^[6]

On or Before April 15th

• Dan Dreiberg designs a blue vibrator called Excalibur which he gives to Laurie Juspeczyk purely out of spite when he realizes that she still harbored feelings for Doctor Manhattan.^[16][17]

April

15th

• A group of domestic terrorists led by Timothy McVeigh attempted to use a lithium cluster bomb to blow up the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Nite Owl II and the Comedienne stop them from carrying out the terrorist attack and McVeigh is killed in the skirmish. Their actions result in the heroes both getting arrested by the FBI for violating the Keene Act.^[3][15][16]

25th

• Laurie Juspeczyk is interrogated by Special Agent David Latimer of the FBI’s Vigilante Operations division following her arrest. She cooperates and reveals the truth behind what happened to New York City on November 2, 1985.^[16]

After April 25th and Before April 28th

• Dan Dreiberg refuses the FBI's plea deal and chooses to carry out a thirty-year prison sentence as mandated by the Keene Act.^[3][15]

28th

• MerlinCorp, the technology company owned and operated by Dan Dreiberg, is raided by the FBI and recovers the blueprints to his inventions.^[18]
• The Nine Inch Nails hold a concert at the Urban Outfitters Amphitheater in Saigon, Vietnam. Trent Reznor unexpectedly walks out during the show announcing that this is his final appearance.^[9]

1996

• KROQ radio station goes off the air.^[3]

November

5th

• Robert Redford was reelected to a second term of office as President of the United States.^[7][8]

1997

• A geological survey at the Crater is conducted by the International Institute of Extraspatial Studies. Scientists concluded that the Crater is contaminated with Cherenkov-Glass Radiation - the unique energy signature of Doctor Manhattan. Thus, the Crater becomes a worthless tourist trap.^[9]

1998

• Mother, the former cult leader of the Brethren, concludes her prison sentence for attempting to assassinate Richard Nixon in 1968.^[19][20]
• Sean Parker purchased the land that once held the site of Cartwithen Castle.^[9]
• The Horse Whisperer, starring Scott Glenn, is released. The film came late in a wave of “rural chic” films that began in the late eighties amid the urban flight movements that followed the Dimensional Incursion Event. Directed by George T. Miller, it was a modest success, and it successfully launched the career of Scarlett Johansson.^[8]

1999

• Adrian Veidt regains the wealth Veidt Enterprises lost in the aftermath of the New York City massacre by licensing proprietary technology to other fields, most notably, pet cloning, through a subsidiary called Bubastis.^[11]
