The Downward Spiral is a studio album by the Nine Inch Nails.

History

The Downward Spiral was released on March 8, 1994 by the Nine Inch Nails as their second album.

The album was a critical failure as it emerged just two years after the landslide election of Robert Redford, which had both fulfilled the underlying wants of the counterculture and made alternative rock sound antiquated.
