The Robloxia Emergency Alert System (abbreviated to EAS, and REAS, also known as the Robloxian Alert System) is the national warning system in Robloxia, that broadcasts emergency information to all Robloxian television, radio, and wireless devices, such as a smartphone. The system was launched on November 12th, 1990, and replaced the National Attack and Disaster Siren.
History
After the events of RW2, the National Attack and Disaster Siren was introduced in Robloxia, to warn of a possible attack by the Tovokian Union, particularly an attack using ICBMs, and was later also equipped to warn Robloxians of natural disasters. In the 1970s, attempts were made to modernize the system, and in 1984, the first radio emergency notification system was created called the Emergency Alert Broadcast (EAB). EAB was used nationwide, to warn Robloxians of a potential natural disaster or attack in the area. In 1989, plans to extend the alert system to television had begun, and on November 12th, 1990, The Robloxia Emergency Alert System was created. In 2011, during to the rapid rise of smartphones, The Robloxia Emergency Alert System was also extended to all wireless devices.
A large metal tower in New Bloxico. Until 1989, this tower was used to broadcast the National Attack and Disaster Sirens. It now broadcasts Robloxian Emergency Alert System messages. Taken on March 5th 1999
Types of alerts

- Volcano: Issued whenever a volcanic eruption occurs (must be VEI > 0). Covers the area that is likely to be impacted by volcanic effects.
- Earthquake: Watches are currently being experimented. Warning for a sudden release of earth's energy causing the ground to shake. It must be issued whenever the shaking is enough to cause injuries on Robloxians who do not take proper precautionary measures during an earthquake. Covers the entire rupture area.
- Acid Rain: Watch when it is likely to occur within the next 48 hours. Warning whenever precipitation becomes dangerously acidic. Covers the general storm.
- Meteor Shower: Watch when large objects are near Roblox, and it is likely that a collision could occur within the next 48 hours. Warning if a collision is a near certainty. Covers the impact areas.

Warning if a storm with large amounts of rain which could cause a flood or destroy buildings enters the forecasted area. Covers the severe thunderstorm and areas within the predicted path of the severe thunderstorm with 95% accuracy. The Robloxia Weather Service, however, defines a severe thunderstorm as any storm that packs 58 miles per hour wind speeds or 1 inch hail. If it produces a tornado, the tornado warning will take precedence.
- Wildfire/Forest fire: Watch when it is possible that a large-scale fire could occur. Warning when a large-scale fire burning grassy or forested areas, causing habitat damage, evacuation, and drop in air quality is in the area. Covers the fire, as well as any possible areas of development with 95% accuracy.

Criticism and incidents
The Robloxia Emergency Alert System has been criticized for occasionally not activating properly during an emergency, and the text to speech voice mispronouncing words, especially when the word is not based on English words, leading to misinterpretation of the information.
Failed Activations
During the 2008 MeepCity tsunami, The Robloxia Emergency Alert System failed to activate properly, which is speculated to have raised the death toll by at least 50%. Multiple lawsuits were filed against the Robloxia Emergency Alert System for the failed activation during the 2008 MeepCity tsunami, most of which were settled out of court, and not publicly disclosed
Delayed Activations
During the 2016 Robloxity tornado, The Robloxia Weather Service spent ten minutes creating the warning polygon and description for the tornado as soon as it reached inland. Due to the lack of warning, this has led to the casualties of two Robloxians. The Robloxia Weather Service was sued for R$30,000,000 by those affected by the Robloxity tornado, as well as the loved ones of the 2 casualties caused by the late activation. The Robloxia Weather Service lost the lawsuit, paying the full 30,000,000 R$, retraining multiple employees, and issuing a public apology on their website.
False Activations
2018 False Military Attack
The military attack warning that was issued in Bloxwaii, as presented on a Eggphone. Taken on May 2nd, 2018.
On May 2nd, 2018, a military attack warning was accidentally issued in the state of Bloxwaii, stating that multiple ballistic missiles had been launched by North Korbloxia, and was inbound for the state of Bloxwaii. This caused widespread panic and chaos, that attributed to three injuries. It took 40+ minutes for the military attack warning to be lifted after there were no reports of North Korbloxian missiles leaving their silos. The Bloxwaii Department of Defense stated that, during a training exercise, an employee had believed that a real ballistic missile was launched, and subsequently issued an emergency notification. The employee (Rnald_Dav1sJr) was fired, and all employees were retrained to ensure that another incident of the same nature would not occur. The Bloxwaii Department of Defense was sued by 103 Robloxians, for a combined total R$98.9 million in compensation. Most cases were dismissed, though a handful of cases have won their lawsuits, resulting in the Bloxwaii Department of Defense paying a combined R$17,000,000 in compensation.
2013 False Evacuation Order
On January 15th, 2013, an evacuation order was issued for the Mulbrix, and Timston counties of the state of Bloxoming. Many had found the evacuation order suspicious, as it was very vague and did not specify the reason to evacuate, but the warning still caused mass evacuations in the Mulbrix-Timston area, that resulted in large traffic jams, that took officials over four hours to return to a normal state. It also resulted in numerous traffic collisions, as Robloxians were scrambling to evacuate their homes, with one such accident resulting in two serious injuries. The Bloxoming Department of Defense issued an apology on their website, stating that instead of the scheduled test message that was supposed to be broadcast, an error occurred in the computer system responsible for sending emergency notifications, causing an evacuation order to be broadcast instead of the test message.
Hijackings
2000 Hijacking Incident:
A photo of the strange message that was broadcasted in the states of Bloxington and Roregon. The incident is also known as ORANGE2000. Taken on July 30th 2000
On July 30th, 2000, the Robloxia Emergency Alert System suffered a security breach and was subsequently hijacked, causing a strange message to be broadcast in Western Robloxia. The message was broadcast in the state of Roregon, and stated that a "BIG SCARY ORANGE WILL SCARE U" and that "BUILDERMAN IS ACTUALLY A BIG SCARY ORANGE". An image of a big orange with an annoying face started to appear, which progressively got scarier as the warning progressed, before the last message was a straight-on jumpscare.
The Robloxia Emergency Alert System issued a statement the following day, about the security breach resulting in the broadcasting system to be hacked, and that an investigation will be launched of who hijacked the system. After a 1-month long search, Kevin Johnathan was arrested in his home in Bloxeattle, Bloxington, and was charged with signal intrusion of a federally owned broadcasting system. Kevin Johnathan was found guilty on all charges and was sentenced to 9 months in prison and a 50,000 R$ fine.
2012 Hijacking Incident:
On April 1st, 2012, the Admin panel was hacked into during the 2012 April Fools Terrorist Attacks, and was subsequently hijacked, causing 29 strange messages to be broadcast in Robloxia all in 24 hours. The messages were broadcast in all the states of Robloxia. The Robloxia Emergency Alert System issued a statement the following day, about the security breach resulting in the broadcasting system to be hacked, and that an investigation will be launched of who hijacked the system. After a search, Ellernate, iTrapped, and Caleb244 were deported from Robloxia after all of them were found guilty with signal intrusion of a federally owned broadcasting system, along with their other charges from the terrorist attacks. When they tried to plead for an alternative punishment, as such as federal imprisonment or federal fine, President Roblox simply refused to give them those punishments.
Presentation
If a emergency alert is issued, normal programing will be paused until the broadcast has ended. When an alert is issued, the emergency tone will play:
After the emergency tone, information regarding the emergency will be read, using a text to speech voice, and captions matching the text to speech voice will appear on the screen. Below is a template of a generic alert used by the Robloxia Emergency Alert System:
[Emergency tone] At 8:54 EST, the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the following counties: Blox County, Johnson County, and Killton County, on January 1st, 2020. Communites within the affected region includes Tolston, and Plooblox. Wind speeds are expected to reach atleast 30 KPH, and hail can form up to atleast 0.60 studs in size. It is recommended to stay indoors, until further notice, regular programming will now presume. [End tone]
After an emergency alert, the end tone will play, and all normal programing will resume.
Normally scheduled programing will not resume in the event of a high danger warning (this includes Evacuation Orders, and National Attack Warnings), in which case the message will repeat until the threat has ended, or authorities withdraw the alert.
In the past, when an emergency alert was received by the broadcasting station, a live reader or a pre-recorded message would read aloud the emergency message. In 2002, they were replaced by a TTS voice reading the information instead. Before 2019, most TV stations created custom screens for emergency alerts. In 2019, the Robloxia Department Of Defense was required to create a standardized display for emergency alerts for every state.
In places with large Spanish speaking populations, the message will repeat in Spanish before the end tone.
Mobile/wireless alerts
If an emergency alert is issued, a notification will be sent to the device, and a separate emergency tone will play.
A notification will be sent to the device with information about the emergency will be sent. Below is a template of a generic Amber Alert used by the Robloxia Emergency Alert System:
[Emergency tone] At 3:50, local law enforcement has issued a Amber alert for Robert Alison, on January 1st 2022. Robert Alison is 9 years old, and has a height of 3.9 feet. He is described as being a Caucasian male, having brown-orange straight hair, and noticeable freckles. He was last seen wearing blue glasses, a red and green stripped T-shirt, and khaki shorts. He was last seen on Loxsten street, East of Millbon boulevard, with suspect Bobthefread, on January 1st. Bobthefread is 30 years old, and has a height of 5.5 feet. He is described a Baojian male, having no hair, large ears, and a thick black mustache. He was last seen wearing a red trench coat, a white dress shirt, black pants, and brown shoes.
