History:

Founded in 1892, Prometheus Labs was dedicated to researching anomalous objects for use in developing new technologies. Over the years, Prometheus Labs developed into a multinational conglomerate selling advanced and anomalous technologies to governments, militaries, and Groups of Interest. Throughout its history, Prometheus Labs displayed a nominal amount of cooperation with the RSCP Foundation efforts to protect normalcy, and at times even collaborated with the Foundation, but refused to cease its study of anomalies and resisted Foundation oversight.

In 1998, following a long period of financial decline, the Prometheus Labs conglomerate was dissolved, resulting in the creation of numerous successor companies formed from its subsidiaries. The breakup of the conglomerate was fraught with technical and administrative difficulties, resulting in the loss of many products and the layoffs of numerous personnel. Most of the former projects of Prometheus Labs now in containment were recovered during this time, and many of its former employees were hired by the Foundation.

Reactivation:

They would be reopened in 2001 by the RSCP Foundation and PENTAGRAM to continue their research with new securities and protections.

In 2010 they would be tasked by the Global Occult Coalition to find and investigate the new "Project Revival" by the Global Furry Agency whom the G.O.C. was growing increasingly interested by. They would find that their project did what the G.O.C. labeled as a violation of natural law by breaching the divide between the living and the dead apart. But due to some unnamed reason, the G.O.C suddenly turned their stance.

Work with Laminax Labs

When Laminax Labs was founded in 2015 Prometheus Labs would supply them with samples collected by the RSCP Foundation of the Diseases such as Furr Infection, Slender Disease, Ragdoll Syndrome, and Pseudomors Disease and their research would be authorized by their joint work. They would continue research until 2027 when independent agency of the Global Furry Agency burned down Laminax for "Illegal Research" causing their research to be destroyed. Due to GFA not knowing what Laminax was doing with Prometheus Labs they would end up on a list of groups that the Global Occult Coalition wanted investigated. They would secretly play a part in helping Thorne Industries rebuild Laminax while staying within the order of the RSCP Foundation. They also would oversee the usage of the weather machine on Bloxhicago to see if the anomaly they had created could be controlled. They would then have the United Roblox Countries rebuild the city like nothing happened.

The worst period for Prometheus Labs:

In 2029 shortly after they used their weather machine they would get raided by the Chaos Insurgency who were after the device. Then in 2030 they would get raided again by the Anti-Furry Coalition who wanted weapons for The Furry War. Both attacks they with the help of the RSCP Foundation's MTF Units fought off with minor damage.

In 2030, GFA decided to raid the labs themselves due to evidence and fears they were helping the Order of Shadows and stole many of their assets and captured their researchers. Due to them not knowing that Prometheus Labs was working with the RSCP Foundation it would earn them a "target of elimination"... at least they seem to suspect.

In an undisclosed report, RSCP Foundation requested for GFA to attack the labs due to the hidden affiliations of the Shadow's work. As a result, in fears of a hostile GoI stealing that: GFA raid it in a guise of a illegal operation.
