The number of robloxians under that surname includes up to 10,900,000 robloxians, of which 10,282,492 live in the Telamon Islands (2020 census), which is approximately 2.6% of the country's population.

History

First mention of Lanakila surname comes from the times of Moai Dynasty. While the Moai surname was used by noblemen, the Lanakila surname was the domain of peasants. In the 15th century, some peasants with this surname were raised to nobility, which allowed the surname to spread. By 1600, people with the surname Lanakila could be found throughout southern Manakapa.

In the 16th century, the nobleman Lanakila Molekana became an intermediary between the Ro-Spanish and the local peoples of northern Manakapa and some island peoples. The Ro-Spanish rewarded the nobleman by giving him the land of the entire conquered northern part of the island. After his death, these lands fell into the hands of the princes of the Moai Dynasty. When the southern island was mostly unified in 1617 and the warlord Keanu founded his own dynasty there, one branch of the Lanakila noble family began to play an important role in the pro-Ro-Spanish faction in the royal court. Meanwhile, the peasants continued to bear the surname Lanakila, which spread to other islands such as Kohola, Aloha and Hilokila, where it became a synonym for peasants, unlike Manakapa, where this surname covered all social classes.

With the colonization of the island by the Rogaulians, poorly treated peasants left the country whenever they could or fled to the mountains. A mass of peasants then moved to Kohola and Aloha, which were not colonized, which led there to a local land shortage. At that time, the Lanakila noble families cooperated with the Rogaulians, wanting to stay in power, or left the country, most often to Bloxia. At the beginning of the 20th century, due to the land shortage, an organization of peasants called the Sea Hoes was created, led by the peasant Lanakila Uilama (Robloxian form of the name Lanakila William). This organization began to colonize uninhabited islands, cultivate land there, and then trade. This led to conflict, as these islands belonged to Bloxia's sphere of influence. After several battles, Lanakila Uilama was allowed to farm the land there in exchange for paying tribute. Other peasants also migrated to the New Robloxia Mountains, where farms were established, many of which belonged to members of the Lanakila peasant families. After the Telamon Islands retrieve independence, Roblox War II and the presidency of Lanakila Mikala happened, as well as the blurring of divisions into social classes, the name Lanakila is synonymous with a typical citizen, which is why instead of 'typical Telamonian' there we say 'typical Lanakila'.
