Greater Rockford Airport is an airport located in Greater Rockford. It is the largest of the five airports of Greater Rockford. It serves as the main airport for Greater Rockford City. It is an alternative airport for Mellor Airport.
History
Telamon Sea History
The airport was built in 1981 when the island the airport was in was located in the Telamon Ocean. Before the airport was built, Mellor Airport was the main airport.
Eurobloxia History
The airport was completely rebuilt to the same configuration it was in May 18, 2025.
Israblox Bombing and Plane Crash
On March 14, 2026, Israbloxian forces had bombed the airport due to Greater Rockford’s aid to Iran and Palesbloxia. Terminal 1A and the check-in area of Terminal 1 had been damaged, mostly the check in area. Terminal 2 suffered minor damage. Three aircraft were damaged, and Greater Rockford forces had shot down two aircraft during the bombardment, one of which crashed right at the check in area of Terminal 1. 23 fatalities were reported. All arriving flights diverted to Mellor.
The next day, Terminal 2 flights resumed, with all Terminal 1 flights still diverting to Mellor.

Terminal 1
Terminal 1 serves about 25% of the airlines in IRFD. Terminal 1A is for international flights and Terminal 1B is for domestic flights and flights to Bloxia Kingdom.
Terminal 1A
This part of Terminal 1 is fully for International flights. Most airlines are in Terminal 1A.
Terminal 1B
This part of Terminal 1 is entirely for Rockford Airways domestic and charter flights along with Britain Airways flights. Air Hokanda also has a once week flight to RoLondon Heathrow from this terminal. HardJet’s flights also operate from Terminal 1B, although they have plans to split into 1A and 1B as well.

Terminal 3C serves all freighter operations in Greater Rockford Airport and serves 5% of the airlines there.

Accidents and Incidents
- KLN Flight 5476 - In 1990, KLN Flight 5476 was a flight from Mellor to Bloxsterdam that crashed right at Greater Rockford airport. All flights were disrupted.
- Britain Airways Flight 90 - In 2019, Britain Airways 90, a CRJ-700, departing Greater Rockford for Saint Barthelemy, almost hit a Cyprus Vision Jet that was landing in the opposite side.
- KOT Flight 564 - In 2025, KOT Airlines 564, a E-190, departing from Sauthemptona to Mellor Regional that crash landed at the Rockford Mountain Range near Airbase Garry. At that time, IRFD Tower was the airport controlling ATC at Mellor Regional.

- Air Hokanda Flight 2205 - On March 31, 2026, Air Hokanda Flight 2205, operated by Air Hokanda Cargo, struck debris at Greater Rockford’s Runway 07C/25C. The runway had debris from Israbloxian jets which were intercepted by Greater Rockford Air Patrol and Air Force. Some debris landed on the runway. The aircraft also skidded off the runway and ruptured the airport fencing.
- Britain Airways Flight 2066 - On April 2, 2026, Britain Airways Flight 2066, a flight from Accra to RoLondon-Gatwick made an emergency landing at the airport due to a ruckus by a passenger on the flight. He was apparently a member of the Insurgency Infiltration Team.
