For Cities

For Cities (known as En Cities) is an organization and a minor centrist political party in Robloxia founded on February 6, 1982 by former mayor Gerard Toronto, who is currently the honorary chairman of the party.

Its current leader is Pablo Smith, elected by majority vote in the For Cities party elections in 2022. Elections for the leader are held every five years.

History

Foundation

Organization (February 6, 1982-March 5, 1982)

Days before February 6, 1982, Gerard Toronto, an independent politician who had served as a deputy councilor in Robloxia City from 1979 to 1981, had the idea of "founding a political party." This led to the creation of For Cities, which began as an organization within the Robloxia City Independent Party (RCIP). It officially separated on March 4, 1982, forming an "independent alliance without the need for any political party."

Alliance (March 5, 1982-July 9, 1983)

It was officially formed as an alliance on March 5, 1982; on that same day, Toronto proclaimed himself President of For Cities. That same day, it built its headquarters at 12 Bloxlinlin Avenue in Robloxia City.

By December 1982, it already had 500 members, a record that would never have been achieved otherwise. By February 1983, it had 1,000 members, enough to form a political party in Robloxia.

Political Party (Since July 9, 1983)

After surpassing 1,000 members, on June 4, 1983, Toronto petitioned for For Cities to be officially recognized as a political party. On June 9, the Robloxia government granted permission, and For Cities was founded.

Municipal elections of 1984

Robloxia City D.C

On May 6, 1984, David Lodman (1936–2019), then mayor of Robloxia City, D.C., called for elections. There was also a legislature election. Party for Cities ran, fielding Toronto as its candidate. The party received 12,824 votes, placing fifth. Toronto won one seat with 3.7% of the vote.

Brookhaven

Sara Donald ran in Brookhaven. For Cities came in seventh and second-to-last place, receiving 162 out of 5,251 votes (0.93%), but no seats on the town council.
