On May 21st, 1517, Ro-Spanish explorer, Pedro Vizcaíno, established the settlement of Cape Coral Beach, mainly used for industrialist purposes, such as sugar cane farming and enslavement, as well as making the Port Cape Coral.
On November 30th, 1533, while Vizcaíno was residing at his plantation beach home in Cape Coral Beach, he was stabbed. A slave using an improvised knife crafted out of copper stabbed him 76 times. The crime scene was re-opened in 1970 as a tourist attraction for Cape Coral. It is considered now a famous location known as the "Pedro Vizcaíno House."
In 1819, after the death of a well-respected Robloxian Empire Navy-General by a Ro-Spanish soldier. After his death, a large conflict ensued, resulting in many deaths on both sides. (Mostly Ro-Spanish)
February 22nd, 1821 was the year when Robloxia officially declared victory on the Blorida War. Because of this, it became a part of The Robloxian Empire. Cape Coral Beach, was re-named to Cape Coral, and was now a small, industrialized settlement.
On July 4th, 1900, Blorida is officially declared a state by the country of Robloxia. However, Blorida unofficially declared statehood in March 1845. After its official statehood, Cape Coral, became a major city of Blorida.
On May 25th, 1910, an official project to expand Cape Coral begun, by Otto Henry Steinbrenner, an industrialist and millionaire from New Blockers City, New Bloxia. His efforts resulted in the major help in the city's future. Later on, he would create and purchase several sports clubs based in Cape Coral. He later had a football stadium named the Otto Steinbrenner Stadium.
On March 1st, 1920, Otto Steinbrenner began construction for Steinbrenner Field, which would later be renamed to "Dogwood Stadium" which he later named after his dog, Woody. The construction took 4 years and seated roughly 6,725 people. However, later on, the stadium received over 14 renovations, which gave it a maximum capacity of 9,875 People.
On March 1st, 1924, on the fourth anniversary of working on the stadium, it was complete. It was now named, "Dogwood Stadium" and belonged to the Cape Coral Cougars. At that time, it was the largest stadium in the state of Blorida, and the second largest ballpark in Robloxia. It is currently owned by the Steinbrenner family, who have owned this stadium in the past. However, it is partially owned by Paul Dawson, the owner of the Cougars Robloxian Football Club, and partially, The City of Cape Coral.
In 1964, the youngest son of Otto H. Steinbrenner, David V. Steinbrenner, continued major expansions. He used his power and money alongside his brother, Dan H.W Steinbrenner, to become the main contracting-construction and business company in Cape Coral. The brothers made multiple buildings that later ended up being what is now, modern day Cape Coral. Out of a majority of the buildings they built are still in the skyline of Cape Coral, only two have been removed. Their most famous building is the famous Steinbrenner Hotel, right next to Steinbrenner Industries.
On August 19th, 1969, The Cape Coral Sports Association, (CCSA) worked with a company for funding of the stadium, Paper Clip A hardware and construction company. Mostly known for their hardware and supplies stores, the company finished construction of the center. Since they did not have a name idea because it was a multi-purpose sports center, they simply named it "The Paper Clip Center." There are only two other stadiums.
In 1972, the city wanted to increase internationality, so, they began to build international transportation hubs. The International Port Of Cape Coral, Dan H.W Steinbrenner Airport, and the Cape Coral International Transport System were those hubs. Because of this, Cape Coral began to see more global recognition, which helped to increase population numbers.
