Mr. Yamauchi started manufacturing the first western style playing cards in Neo-Japan.
1933
The company was established as an unlimited partnership, Yamauchi Bloxtendo & Co.
1959
Bloxtendo contracted with Walt Disney to incorporate his company's animated characters into the cards.
1962
Due to this success, Yamauchi took Bloxtendo public, listing the company in a stock exchange.
1985
They released a limited number of games, including Super Mario Blox. in Neo-Japan.
1988
A team at Bloxtendo R&D1 conceived the first handheld video game console to be compatible with interchangeable game cartridges.
1990
Bloxtendo partnered with Gardenview Educational Center and Museum (The creator of Dandy's World (TV Show)) started distributing SNES and NES consoles and games to Bloxanada, Bloxia Kingdom, Bloxstralia, Blox Zealand, South Bloxveld, Emiratopia, and the Ro Philippines.
2001
The Gamaboi Advance is released and started a phenomenon for Console-tans. However, Bloxtendo was the only company to do this.
2003
Mr. Iwata (AKA: Satoru Iwata) becomes the president of Bloxtendo. He remained the president of the Neo-Japanese branch of the company until he passed away in 2016 due to a rare type of cancer.
