Blox Center is a small incorporated town in the Robloxian state of North Bloxifornia. As of the 2024 census, the town has a population of 7,022, making it the second most populated municipality in Driftwood County despite its relatively low population. It is located between dense forests, and is located not too far away from South City, and that city is the only large settlement located close to the town. Due to its remote location, the town remains quite isolated from other large settlements, with the nearest significant communities being many miles away. The town is also located close to some humid lands. Blox Center is located around the southern parts of the largest forest in the state, North Bloxifornian Forest.

Blox Center is known for its quiet, rural atmosphere, with much of its land covered by thick woodlands and small rivers flowing through its outskirts. The town’s economy mainly relies on local businesses, forestry, and small agriculture, though in recent years, there has been a slow increase in certain daily service businesses. Despite its declining population, Blox Center maintains a small community, with annual town events such as the Blox Center Heritage Festival.

History

Blox Center was founded in 1867 as a logging outpost, initially inhabited by settlers who relied on the region’s resources for wood and agriculture. The area quickly became a place for wood production, supplying lumber to other cities such as South City and New River City. As demand for timber increased, the town experienced rapid growth in the late 19th century, with mills, general stores, and housing developments rising to support the industry.

By the early 20th century, Blox Center had developed into a formal municipality, with a growing population and the establishment of essential infrastructure, including the Blox Center Town Hall, built in 1904, and the Driftwood County Railway, which once connected the town to larger economic centers. The town had about 23,000 residents residing the area, and it was once thriving. However, as the timber industry declined in the mid to late-1900s due to environmental regulations and resource depletion, Blox Center’s economy shifted towards agriculture and small businesses, leading to the population slowly decreasing.

Despite economic problems, the town certain tourists who go on tours around the state, visit the town for experiencing a peaceful environment. Old historical sites attracted tourists from around the state. Today, it remains a small remote town located within dense forests. Some call it “Ghost-Town”.
