This's a Skywalker Sound sound effect (sound effects cluster/combo) that was created and used exclusively by Skywalker Sound. It includes sounds like, respectively, SKYWALKER EXPLOSION 07, SKYWALKER EXPLOSION 01 (in a SFX cluster that includes WB FIRE HISS/WHOOSH SOUND), a processed/various-pitched version of SKYWALKER, EXPLOSION - EXPLOSIVE RICOCHET, HIGH RICCO, EXPLOSION ACCENT, SKYWALKER, CRASH - CRASHY METAL WITH DEBRIS and other SFX. The sound was created probably by Gary Rydstrom; film debut unknown. It maybe considered a stock sound effect. It also shouldn't be confused with Super Monkey Ball Explosion Sound.
The sound is also found on Sound Ideas’s Explosions Disasters and Crashes SFX Series as Sound Ideas, EXPLOSION - EXPLOSION WITH IGNITION.
