Chaser is a 2003 first-person shooter released exclusively for PCs. It was developed by Slovakian studio Cauldron and published by JoWood Entertainment. The game puts players into the shoes of John Chaser, a man who suffers amnesia onboard the Majestic spaceship and tries to remember who he was or why a group of killers is after him.

Gameplay

Chaser's singleplayer mode follows the objective based and storyline based narrative, intercut with in-game rendered cutscenes before or during levels, which dig deeper into the game's story. Players have to use 20 different weapons (some based on real world guns), while dealing with enemies and other obstacles that can hinder their progress, which spans over 40 levels, usually tasked to go from one area to another, sometimes embarking on stealth-based missions, and defending allies. If they're overwhelmed, however, they can utilize the game's slow motion "Adrenaline" feature, which slows time down and allows them to eliminate enemies more efficiently. Aside from the game's singleplayer, players can also play multiplayer by local area network, or the Internet via the now-defunct GameSpy Arcade.

Sound Effects Used

It also uses traced sound effects from Daylight (1996) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
