One of Keysota's other destroyed cities, Welchenville was at the time Keysota's fourth largest city until its destruction.
History:
Founded as one of Keysota's first towns, Welchenville would grow quickly and would be the fourth largest town in Keysota. It would be the second town in the state to get a Willmart and a Siriway after Hazelton. The town would reach 10,000 residents in 1995.
On the night of July 10th, 1998 a tornado would sweep through Welchenville destroying the city and killing 38 residents. The town would be declared a total loss and would be abandoned. A new small town would pop up nearby known as Angora on mile to the west along with the other small town of Waubun getting around 100 more residents. Welchenville would be left as a abandoned intersection.
