Velkium or VM-790 is currently to be known as the strongest material on both Roblox & Velkia. It was discovered way back in the 1940s on Roblox, after 2 miners found it in Ro-Italy, but never to public until 2033. In 1988, Velkium deposits were found in Bloxartic ocean trenches.
Appearance and Overview
Velkium comes in the form of a cluster of purple crystals, that although are crystalline in appearance, their hardness and texture have been compared to metal, as such, most call it a "Supermetal". The crystals tend to take 7-8 months to fully grow, but some have been recorded to be over 1 kilostud long.
It comes from Velkia, and can not be crushed in high dense atmospheres, as it comes from way deep below in the planet's outer layers, where pressure is more greater than that on the surface. making it very strong, its also one of the reason why Velkia has rings, the Rings can withstand the heat of the Roblox Sun, because it's made out of Velkium, even a bullet couldn't go through Velkium, scientists have conducted tests on Velkium, able to resist railgun projectiles. The only weapon that can melt Velkium are Avian-built laser cannons. this also makes it harder for RASA astronauts incase if they are orbiting near Velkia's rings, possibly making the ships being damaged due to it's density. it's also the cause of some orbiting satellites around Velkia to be crushed, that's why some satellites are now made out of Velkium, RASA plans to use Velkium sheet covering for RASA missions, especially manned missions, making it possible to survive heavy gravity, or pressure in deep-sea environments. Urbanshade has already started Velkium mining operations in the Let-Vand Zone using their Trenchbleeder walkers, and hopefully integrate it into their submarine hulls.
After discovery of Velkium deposits in Bloxartic region, Free Bloxartica began extracting Velkium for the trench. The crystals are then examinated in Free Bloxartic research facilities.
Velkium is on Roblox, but only a little bit of it, making up 4.1% of the crust. The highest concentration is in South Baoji. Towards 2033, RASA missions are planning to be expanded later on, this era of Roblox would be called "THE VELKIUM RUSH".
Luna's body armour is made of Velkium, as well as the D.O.R Velkia Base.
Formation Theory
RASA and FAERA scientists have drawn up the following theory why Velkium is both found on Velkia and Roblox.
During the formation of the Blox System, it's likely that the protoplanetoids that were soon to be Roblox and Velkia collided with such force that they merged to form a single body, the remaining debris thrown out would then re-construct over time from gravitational forces and extreme pressure to form Velkia. As both planetoids cooled, Velkium would shift into the layers of rock on the two planets. Experts believe that the metal is more concentrated at Velkia, as it seems it had the lions share of being in the collision.
