The Southern Wars, commonly known as the Third Penguinian Wars, is one of the largest proxy wars in cold war history. It's a war between the Pula Pact against the Coup d’état Confederate Union and the newly re-established Jakoritan Pact from countries where so-called communists, who later revealed as the Neo-COPRU party, overthrew the democratic government of the southwestern third-world countries.
The Cause
A coup d'état happened against the Confederate Union's democratic-communist government, which was a success as it was overthrown. The coup was also known as the Neo-COPRU Party which supported the ideologies of COPRU originally written by Sev Seventy in 1878. The coup was lead by none other than Arkehein Ankorio. After his successful coup, he established the Third Confederate South Socialist Republic, nicknamed "Arkehein's Confederate Union. In 1962, countries from South Bloxmerica, like Bloxargentina and Bloxile, believed in the southern-greatism ideology. CSSR under the coup left the Pula Pact, mobilized its military, and declared war on the UXXR along with the pact, sparking the Southern Wars in 1963. The war was primarily focused on the south, but countries from the north like the Bloxian Kingdom and the Tovokian Union would join in. The Tovokian Union aided the confederates, while the Bloxians invaded the Penguipan Archipelago from the north to secure northern islands, and try neutralizing enemy infastructure.

Battle of Haizanawa Sea
The Battle of the Haizanawa Sea(commonly known as the north Pululu Sea) began when the UXXR dispatched two of its capital ships, the XNS Thunderbird-II, a heavy battlecruiser, and the XNS Herank Thomas, along with a destroyer escort, to reinforce naval bombardment operations in the coasts of northeastern Vajokiria where Confederate artillery operations destroy the Xenonist defenses. As the task force approached the area, one of its scout jets monitoring the sea was intercepted and shot down by Confederate warships—KMS Ekihai and KMS Akinhai, the Akinhai being the latter of the Penguipan-class battleship.
The encounter quickly escalated into a tense standoff. On one side were the two capital ships of the UXXR and their escort; on the other stood two heavily armed Confederate dreadnoughts. The KMS Akinhai carried an immense armament of 20 16-inch guns guns along with six multiple rocket launcher pods and twelve 152MM triple-configuration cannons, while KMS Ekihai fielded 14 12-inch guns and six rocket launcher pods and 152MM triple-configuration cannons of it's own. In contrast, the Xenonist Navy(XNS) relied on a different doctrine—The Thunderbird-II was equipped with 15 inch cannons(arranged in two triple turrets and three quad turrets), 32 torpedoes, and three multiple rocket launchers. along with smaller quad-gun secondaries, while the XNS Herank Thomas was equipped with 17-inch cannons(arranged two double turrets, and three triple turrets), both share the AB-XYZ configuration
The turning point came when the UXXR ships leveraged their torpedo advantage. In a coordinated strike, Thunderbird-II and Vajokiria launched a concentrated torpedo salvo against KMS Ekihai. Several torpedoes struck along the hull, but one critical hit penetrated deep into the ship’s internal magazines. Minutes later, a fatal ammunition detonation tore through the vessel, triggering a massive ammo-rack
The blast crippled Ekihai almost instantly. Secondary explosions rippled through the ship as its ammunition stores ignited, and within minutes, the once-formidable battleship was left fatally damaged and sinking.
With the loss of Ekihai, the balance of power shifted immediately. KMS Akinhai, though still a formidable warship, was now alone against multiple opponents. Rather than risk total loss, Confederate command ordered a withdrawal. The Akinhai disengaged and retreated from the battlefield, leaving the UXXR victorious of the Haizanawa Sea.
June 7th 1972
4 years after Operation TOMAL, the KMS Akinhai would be sent again to Northern Penguipan to slow down and bombard Bloxian-occupied Northwestern Penguipan islands, this would lead the Cconfederates victorious and buy them some time
